@vanpogoro Mordor was on a budget cut due to the rebuilding of Baradur so Sauron was reluctant to buy the nazgul fell-beast, sh they settled for horses
@ApolloIron Not really, when I was 7 or 8 years old I sat in our large and dark living-room with my older sister and mother and watched Harry Potter 3. I witnessed the rotten hand pull open the door and felt a shiver over my entire body. Scared the fucking shit out of me.
ahhh... great video but in the movies they show too little about the nazguls... theres like only 3 appearences in fellowship... none in two towers and only 4 appearences in return of the king
Becoming a Nazgûl is like being in a horrible marriage: take a ring from a wrong person, waste your life, lose your happiness, become only a shadow of your former self.
The Black Riders, Voldemort, the Dementors... If you asked me as a kid in the early 2000s what I thought pure evil looked like, I would quickly say a hooded figure in black!
At first Sauron did not want all his enemies and kingdom's to see his power is rising, and if the nazgul would have took their beast out his enemies would have had more time to prepare for an attack on him.
@vanpogoro They were trying to remain inconspicuous. And they aren't dragons; they're Winged Beasts ( Winged is pronounced with two syllables - Wing-ed - it make sit scarier ;D )
@vanpogoro The Endgame of the War of the Ring was not yet in place, so Sauron needed to use stealth to recapture the Ring without much interference. When the final stages for the war was taking place, more direct action was needed and he (Sauron) needed the Ringwraiths to help in his conquest of Middle-earth.
@MrSlo114 gandalf only had power over them when he was gandalf the white and when he bacame gandalf the white it would be almost impossible to find frodo
Actually Gandalf and the Witch King do meet in book. When Gondor's gate is broken down the Witch King rides through and meets Gandalf. However, like in the movie, Rohan comes and the Witch King leaves to face them. Still, it's an awesome movie and this is a great tribute to the Nazgul!!
This is why I like some of the LOTR games where you can control nazgül. It's like you're proving what should have happened. Nazgül always struck me as Sauron's super soldiers and to see them all felled by one man and "the power of the elves" is just BS. But still, after they're beaten...
"They feel the rings pressence" 1m distance were is he wtf, he should be close shouldnt he? second fail i stab a midget with my sword with out killing him, third fail beating gandalf easily than die by a freaking hobbit and a woman, 4th fail no guards at all at the one place they can lose? sauron you fucked it all up.
I think the witch king is bound to have that sort of power he is not saurons deadliest servant for nothing which means he's more powerful than saruman
@leilesolrac just looked at the fellowship book and other than glorfindel(it was him, not arwen in the book) being a bit intimidating it didn't say much. So i guess standard lore of undead(such as vampires etc.) not being to friendly with water
The Nazgul are by far the best thing in the books. What makes no sense though is that the Witch King (along with 4 others) is defeated on Weathertop by Aragorn alone, when Gandalf is clearly defeated by the Witch King in Minas Tirith. If Gandalf is far stronger than Aragorn (and he is according to canon), and the Witch King is stronger than Gandalf, then the 5 Nazgul at Weathertop should have easily overpowered Aragorn and killed Frodo.
@LordClaremorris From what I understand Aragorn is able to fight of the Nazgul because he is the rightful heir to the Throne of Gondor, and therefore the King of Men. He a descendant of Elendil, andfurther is a direct descendant of the first king of Numenor, which was the most advanced of the people's of men. His bloodline gives him power over the Nazgul. Gandlaf is a Maiar of the Valinor, kind of like an angel, and in the book is not defeated by the Nazgul, who are simply fallen men.
Yeah, they screwed it up in the movies. In the book, Gandalf actually fights all 9 nazgul on weathertop a few days before aragorn and the others get there for a full night, and then runs away as the sun comes up and the nazgul grow weak.
@LordClaremorris its called the moment of surprise... and one of the nazgüls weaknesses is light... and fire brings light... fire and surprise won that fight
@Werewolf9098 According to Akallabeth & Of the rings of the Power he is NOT dead. He became a harmless evil spirit. (unfortunately) And He exists even after the destruction of the one ring. (at the end of the book it is a small detail. I guess it was on the appendix, nine rings of power.)
@ruhulhadra Well, "physically" he died. No one really dies. Just leave your body and go further. Even if body is so cursed.......... There was that detail, they "physically" died in fire. They weren't harmless in the body, every body can be killed, but soul IS harmless. That's why in one circle of hell servants of.... well, continue, they chop off or cook spiritual body, but soul cannot die, and it suffers again and again.
omg on this first lord of the rings the nazgul (the nine were so close to getting the ring and i think that one were frodo was hideing under tree mite of been the witch king with out hes mask on
u should really lower the volume of the music track when u have the characters talk. and like at the end when the witch king spoke, u should have lowered the music instead of raised his voice. and idk if ur using a compressor but u should consider using a good one for future vids. and maybe try mixing the music with the voices separately. and idk if its even stereo or not but if it is then try panning a little more.
No one can kill a Ringwraith. They are connected to lord Sauron in spirit and thought. Being a Maia i suppose Saruman could neutralise a ringwraith during combat, however not killing them (their spirit simply draws back to Sauron). But when Sarumans betrayal comes to light and Gandalf excludes him of being Saruman "the white", he is powerless, and an nazgul (if i remember correct, the witch king) holds him in prison in Isengard.
@MrDale29 hate to brake it to you but its actually the same in the book as in the film saruman is held prisoner by tree beard i do know why you are confused though in the book one of the nazgul is send to check up on saruman when he is already defeated. eventhe end of saruman wich i won't spoil is the same in the book as in the extended movie only the location is different.

I love it. I wish the nazgul didn't die at the end. They are the best baddies ever.
