  • For Oakvale alone, I think Fable IV should go back to BEFORE Fable I, just so we can see Oakvale in all it's glory and in HD :D

  • @EleventhDarkness Yup but now Fable 4 is a railrunner game :/

  • @Viridiell How do you mean?

  • @Viridiell Fable: The Journey isn't Fable 4.

  • If you buy the Fable 2 with the DLC, Murgo gives you a globe with a village that you have to go inside of to save. It's actually Oakvale, how it would look if it existed in the game.

  • I can see its not just me who heart broke when they saw Oakvale like this...

Even the music sends pains into my chest.

  • It is almost SCARY how well this fits with the Eastern Plaguelands zone from WoW... That, and the fact that this soundtrack is very spooky and fitting to places like Wraithmarsh. Poor Oakvale.

  • This song is a bit creepy... I've never played Fable I before. Would someone mind telling me where Oakvale is? Thanks O_O

  • @Safiyahalishah Oakvale is where it was in Fable 1, next to Twinblade's Camp (Bloodstone in Fable 2). You won't see much of it in Fable 2 because it's submerged in water.

  • @HybridD91 Ohh, that's kinda sad...

  • I found out it was oakvale by playing the cursed snowglobe. I was rescuing the children and then when i came to the bridge i was Like''Wait,Isn't that the burned bridge in WRAITHMARSH???!''I was shocked indeed and quite sad. DANM BANDITS BURNED IT DOWN

  • @starman254 if u went thru wraithmarsh first then u should haave already known it was oaklave cuz thersa said it was.

  • mein absolutes Lieblings Kapitel :D

  • i miss trolls fuck Logan and his little campaign to inialate theme

  • I was actually rather upset when I came to Wraithmarsh. Once I got there I noticed all the broken houses and such, and once I saw the bridge I cried, literally. The story of Oakvale's death and Reaver's backstory, it's probably the most saddening thing I've seen throughout the came. Tears.

  • dude you should seen me i was in complete darkness the only source was the tv and i was like i think i remeber this place but as soon as i saw the bridge i just passed out

  • Fable 4 should have an option to kill Reaver. I loved Oakvale :(

  • @MrJToots An option to kill Reaver, and end the curse he placed over Oakvale, and it gets reverted to it's original state in a dramatic surprise quest :P And somehow the village also gains HD graphics as a result :D

  • this inspires alot of my horror novels

  • @MegaCLONE66 : and my lyrics :)

  • ARGHHH I GOTTA PLAY THIS GAME NOW, *Rushes to the Xbox*

  • god i hetwraithmarsh, it gave me nightmares, with chesty...

  • @TheNuclearbomb11 Chesty was a pure twat. Wraithmarsh and Chesty's nightmare were epic.

  • No dislikes, that's how it should be. :)

  • Stop talking about Silent Hill.

  • I thought Fable 2 was spot on with it's story telling, setting, lore and music. All they needed to clean up was their combat and give the game's gameplay a little edge and difficulty. But Fable III didn't fix any of the problems in Fable II and replaced this fairy tale world with industrial shit. I mean it's a good idea but NOT for Fable. Oh and for the Icing on the cake they just re-used most of the music. At least it had a commical side to it, second funniest game I played (1st being portal 2

  • Fable 2 is better than fable 3 !!! Thumbs up!

  • @Fearmongerr And Fable 1 is better than either of those!

  • @pietero10 i understand that you think so..

but to get to the point:

for me Fable 3 wasnt really Fable.. it was fun, it just didnt had the fable feeling.. now what i mean?

  • @Fearmongerr Yeah and in fable 3 i also had thne feeling that i could play though it in like 3 hours or zomething lik that..

  • @pietero10 yes, exacly! it was too easy D:

  • @Fearmongerr Exacly? Ugh...

  • @ToxicAngelification i mean exactly.. i type too fast xD

  • @Fearmongerr Lol.

  • @Fearmongerr I think Fable 2 lost a lot of the atmosphere from fable 1 too. It's like the sequels are getting more and more dilute.

  • @Fearmongerr really? Fable seemed more like a squeal proper, wayyyyy better story and villain then 2 had and gameplay was better (your Hero didnt look like a giant steroid user when maxed out either lol) but i think they could have made a longer story, it seemed to end way to fast after you became king. but i still liked 2 mostly because of the time period tbh, the whole series is cool imo, wish they would have put in the Darkwood region from 1 and 2 tho

  • @hellchild65 After Reaver betrays Oakvale Darkmarsh covers the village and then becomes known as Wraithmarsh.

  • @ZM7241994 its the same thing tho

  • Chills...

So creepy. How many other games can make such a creepy place? I wish the third Fable had something creepy like this---Mourningwood wasn't that scary----Silverpines was more scary, and that was because of the music (which was from Fable 1 btw)

"This used to be Oakvale...betrayed...and now it lies forgotten..." So sad.

    Chills....

    BLAST YOU REAVER!!! YOU BASTARD!!!

  • @19lemons93 u played silent hill? :P

  • @DeadThouusand No. What's Silent Hill like?

  • @19lemons93 pretty much the same as wraithmarsh in fable 2, but it's WAY more creepier and terrifying and it sometimes gets very sad and emotional..

  • @DeadThouusand Ooh, I'm intrigued. I thought there was a horror movie called Silent Hill, but I doubt it's based on the same story. Anyway, is it Xbox or Xbox 360? I might try it out, if it doesn't cost, ya know, three hundred thousand dollars. Games usually cost too much. Saved up enough for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, though... ;)

Maybe I'll check on ebay. Got a few things really cheap there, including Fable 3 (just over thirty bucks!)

  • @19lemons93 there is a horror movie called silent hill, it does follow the same story but a bit diffrent charecters, silent hill is a god of horror video games, along side with resident evil. i think they have made like, six silent hill games... the first is somewhere from the 90's and the last one came atleast few years ago, it is is the source which created the very first, real, disturbing horror elements to video games...

  • @19lemons93

I'm no silent hill expert but I know there's a new Silent Hill game coming out October, which looks the BOSS! However I heard that after the first few silent hills they went a bit down hill and the second one's the best apparently. But maybe I'm not the guy to tell you this, I'll be introduced with this new one in Oct. Also have you heard of Alan Wake? Not a REALLY scary game but it has it's moments, definaly got a good atmosphere and well written story.

  • @Jamaicobs Well, I usually play games that involve a lot of fighting, like fable and assassin's creed etc. Something creepy--with a good story line--would be a nice change. Does it matter which order these silent hill games are played? LIke, is it one continuous story or a bunch of small ones?

  • @19lemons93

as far as I can tell, most silent hills have different characters in each one. Silent Hill: Downpour in october has a new character and story so you could start from there if you want. Like I said I'm not really the guy to talk about Silent Hill, but as I said Alan Wake is a good creepy game with a well written story, beautiful landscapes and interesting characters. It's inspired by Stephen King so if you like Stephen King, you'll love alan wake. If not, you should still have a look

  • @19lemons93 I hear ya about Silverpines. Mourningwood was a joke! Especially with them hippies dossing at the end of it. But even Mordor shudders at Wraithmarsh.

  • @saggyrectum Ha ha! Good one :D

  • It's recommended not to bring anyone with you into Wraithmarsh, there are a few spot where you must vault that followers can't get into.

  • lol i hate wraithmarsh so much. i am literally afraid to go there when i have to...

  • I honestly felt scared and shocked for what Oakvale had become. I didnt notice at first but once I saw the bridge my jaw dropped and I froze as I stared at it. Damn you Reaver, the only thing that stops me from killing you is the fact that Stephan Fry voiced you.

  • @Jackw00pw00p2 i felt like you, too, when i saw what happend to Oakvale, but i think i was a lillte more scared, 'cause first i thought Oakfield was the enchanted Oakvale...the same when i saw what happend with Bower"pond"

in Fable 3...seeing what happend with the enterance to the guilds carvern...

  • @Jackw00pw00p2

Man I wish I played Fable TLC first (or maybe not, since most of those people just got angry... I LOVE fable II), because when I came to wraith marsh I was scared but since I had no idea what Oakvale was I didn't really get the same feel. But when I bought fable TLC and I was like "this seems familier, is this a location in Fable II?... wow I remember that big bridge fro... oh... my... ggggoooddd"

  • @Jamaicobs How dare you play the sequel before the prequel D: But at least you bought it later :D

  • @Jackw00pw00p2 Fable 2 is the only game that has ever made me feel that level of emotion.

First time I played it. Strolling through Wraithmarsh, thinking to myself, "This place looks familiar..."

And then I saw the bridge. And I just froze in a state of sudden dark realisation.

    And my life changed forever.

  • @Jackw00pw00p2 LOL! I thought exactly the same! I was really, seriously, freaked out by Wraithmarsh. Did you find the grave of your sister's teddy bear from Fable 1? Or the orphange with all the little cribs in it? *shudders*.

  • @saggyrectum yep, i found both lol

  • I love the soundtrack...its so creepy (:

  • Oakvale...'sniff ', I actually felt pain when I saw its drowned ruins in-game. Does it hint that it was Reaver who betrayed it in the story?

  • @Halibut118 you got that right.. THAT BASTARD DESTROYED OAKVALE...and for what..? eternal beauty, with a cost of sacroficing other innocents to continue to give him eternal life once and a while?... that bastard

  • @Halibut118 yes it's true

  • @Halibut118 Yes. It's mentioned during a quest and in some in game book, I think.

  • @Halibut118 Hah, doesn't hint. The game pretty much comes out and says it.

  • I'm having nightmares tonight... O.o

  • Man there is nothing creepier than having that cute little musicbox playing right in the middle of all that intense creepy music.

  • Wraithmarsh :'(

  • was it the fact that there was no one there to keep back the vegetation and monsters that caused oakvale to look like what it was?

  • havent U NOTICED EVERY BANSHEE LOOKS A LOT LIKE THERESA

  • @luislopez509 yes but she is not she is epic banshee is gay

  • R.I.P Oakvale. T'was a beautiful place. :'( BUT In Fable 4 (PLLLZZZZ FABLE4) It'll come back?! I do hope so and I'll hope for it everyday!

  • Comment removed

  • Nie poznać Teresy na tym obrazku XD (Sorry i don't speak english, i'm from Poland) Kocham tą grę,idealna xD

  • @GarnetWarfare Reaver was the Hero of Skill. He made a deal with the Shadow Court so that if Oakvale was completely wiped out, families killed and everything, that they would give him youth. And he would remain youthful as long as he sacrificed someone to them and the Shadow Court would take that person's youth and swap it to Reaver.

  • I can't really hear this when I'm playing :( Shame, really. I love going there mostly for the eerie music. I hate when I'm zoomed in and ready to shoot a hollowman and then one literally appears out of nowhere right in front of me!!! O.O Then I'm all like "wtf?!" lol ^^; Love this song though. This music is worth the scare XD

  • Is it just me or did Fable 3 not have the same "Fable feel" that the first 2 had ? :/

  • @chocoaddcition Fable 3 does not have the same 'Fable feel' in my opinion so it's not just you.

  • The worst place to be in Fable 2.

  • @DrManhasset i agree fully wen ever i make other files for different descisions combos the quest i dread the most is the cullis gate cause well....I WOULD OF PREFERED OAKVALE!!!! >:I.....stupid bandits......with your burning and killing....................stupid reaver with your deal to the shadow court and then destroying oakvale for good......god hes evil how come he doesnt get horns does the shadow court deal cover no horns to!?

  • @oneleg5 He doesn't have horns, because he has so many fans. He's the one a-hole you just can't hate.

  • I saw a girl in wraithmarsh and she looked scary

  • @TheModernCafe were at

  • WrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRaithMaaRRsh....Hated that freaky place, the twisted trees, sunken town, Grave stones Everywhere!! Just wondering, is it Reavers fault the place is like that? He lived there before and after making a deal with the Shadow Court or what ever those guys were called, he went back to find the village in ruins or something?

  • @Stain319 After oakvale got burnt down the marsh took over and made it all creepy... as far as i know reaver ha nothing to do with it ^^

  • @aeroDYnamicalMOTors No, Reaver made a deal with the Shadow Court, and they destroyed the town as compensation.

  • Very dark and Mystic the way i like things to be

  • What REALLY freaked the shit out of me was when I went into the house with two iron maidens and saw that the two chests contained a ring and a teddy bear...

  • I love wraithmarsh. Probably my favorite place in the game!

I love to smash hollow man heads and make Banshees cry their asses out!

    XD

  • Wooo! Das creepy! I love Fable 1 & 2 though! I could play them forever..over..and over ....and over >:)

  • If only i could have rebuilt Oakvale, too bad the king of albion didnt have that power ......

  • @TheExplosiveBomb Indeed. Atleast they added that Snowglobe thing in the DLCs, not quite the same but hey it's Oakvale alright.

  • Music boxes can make soem beautiful yet also freaky music

  • I pissed myself when I first went through Wraithmarsh. Hadn't played the first one when I went through it though. Played the first and the second Fable one after another, went through Wraithmarsh again, and it got even more eerier...

  • 2:35 onward best part

  • Hey guys, do you know where can I get more shady soundtracks like this one? I love this shady soundtrack, and I've been looking for Danny Elfman's but I need more links, can you suggest me any?

  • Don't get me wrong here, it's an awesome song and I don't mean to equate it with such a shitty movie, but this song really reminds me of that movie Dead Silence.

  • So who's this girl?

  • @pijlenboog23 That would be Theresa.

  • I'll tell you what scared the shit out of me, that demon door that leads to that house in the snowy mountains, for those who don't know, walk inside you'll see what i mean. Full volume helps.

  • @seanthamaster i just love what i found inside after i already bought it XP btw i hate thos kind of places ;w;

  • @seanthamaster XD I had mine up real high when I did that a long while back.

    Jumped right off my chair!

  • Ugh. I hate Wraithmarsh v.v

Not that the enemies are hard to kill or anything, but it still creeps me out. Banshees are easy but it still feels really intense when you're fighting them xD

  • hahaha, I used to hang out in wraithmarch with my husband who hated it, trying to get a divorce XD

  • how has she lived for like 570 years

  • @ThePeckerwood310 With Powerthirst?

  • I want that pic as my background. Its pure awesome.

  • don't like Wraithmarsh scares me so much with banshees and scary music

  • This place, imo is the freakiest on Fable 2. More freaky than the Cemetery guy who wanted to bang Lady Grey. xDD

The music box parts gives me shivers, because of the fact that a pretty little town was turned into something horrific.

But Reaver cheers me up when I return to him. :3

  • is the same soundtrack of darckwood on fable 1

  • Wraithmarsh if the most fucking annoying region in fable2 in my opinion. What else could be more annoying than hollow men and banshees?

  • @signaturemover Balverines and Trolls?

  • @Firebat557

yeah, balverines, but trolls are kinda easy (and hollow men are annoying coz they spawn like rabbits)

  • @signaturemover True, though in the case of Trolls you need to run around in circles and wait for the right oppertunity before rapidly shooting, in the case of Hollow Men you can largely slash away as you wish.

  • @Firebat557

but in wraithmarsh you cant even walk peacefully for 10 seconds without 'spawning' hollow men, and sometimes they spawn with a super hollow, man who spawns other hollow men,

and trolls, they seem easy to me :\

  • @signaturemover Point taken

  • @Firebat557

your point taken too, for the balverines one

  • Lol, Wraithmarsh scares me so much. XD I hate the part of the game where you just get to Bloodstone after braving the Wraithmarsh, and then Reaver sends you right back in! I was all, "Aw, man, are you kidding me?!"

  • i love that you can here the old Oakvale theme around 2:41! so creepy...

  • Who's that girl, I feel like I've seen her before, wait...I HAVE! She's in the Fable 3 trailer, I know that it's not Theresa, for she is in the spire

  • @Emil3411 ya its her

  • @XMadscottsmanX No, because Theresa is still in the spire, oh well I guess I'll find out when I get the game, it's coming out this fall

  • @XMadscottsmanX

    Who? Is it the sister?

  • @XMadscottsmanX Theresa?

  • @Emil3411 It is Theresa.

  • @Emil3411 I think that picture was fan-made, as the release day of Fable 2 awaited there were thousands of fans who made images. And from what I know that looks like Theresa from Fable I.

  • Too bad that you couldn´t have a house there.

  • that doesnt look like thersa at all

  • never seen that girl anywere???? where she form

  • LOL. Man, I love Theresa. But, Lionhead never really explaned if she was the Theresa from the first fable or not. If you think about it, at one point, her eyes are still bad. But at the other point, how is she still alive after all those hundreds of years?

And what if you decided to kill her in Fable 1?

I never understood this about these games that give you a large variety of choses, it doesn't make sense, what does the next game go off?

  • @AeCiTiUm heroes live longer then usual, can't remember if immortal, the only reason the other heroes died is cuz they were killed during the revolt against them. Maybe she just donated enough the temple of Avo and kept getting her youth back *shrug*

  • @vurtualboy No, heroes do die, but Theresa & the main storyline character from Fable were just about 100% pure from the old Kingdom, which the old kingdom became so powerful through will, Theresa used will to make new eyes for herself & to make herself Immortal

  • @vurtualboy Oh & i highly doubt the Storyline Character from fable Died of the Revolt, although he probably died of natural causes

  • @AeCiTiUm It is, & you do use it to kill Jack as a dragon, but theresa's will power is so strong she uses it to bring herself back to life, so in a way, theresa is undead

  • @AeCiTiUm I don't know how Theresa survived for this long, But being good in the first fable is cannon according to lionhead.

  • To be honest it could be the music of some great film !

What do you think about that ?

  • @Korovax absolute agree

  • this level is so scary, I played it at night with lights off... creepy

  • Those damn Banshees.

  • Apparently Oakvale get's rebuilt inbetween Fable 2 and Fable 3, because you lifted the curse in Fable 2. And yeah, I never stay for long in Wraithmarsh...

  • This music is so good, I listen to it again and again, it's relaxing too, but quite creepy, I'd love to listen to this with my headphones in then go around my village at night (There are no Street Lamps and it's very rural) Ha ha it's on my to do list, but first I need to get the Fable Soundtrack from somewhere, anyone got any Ideas? Or I might just buy it failing that XD

  • @LadyAri737 let me guess, you also wear black and tell everyone on the internet that you're a vampire with real powers?

  • @vurtualboy Um, no, I wear black sometimes though, and I do have very sensitive eyes, maybe half-vampire XD

Nah, I'm kidding that is ridiculous

  • @vurtualboy I have lost count of the amount of people I've met who have told me they're a vampire or a demon.

...I'm supposed to believe demons surf the internet?

  • @LadyAri737 Lionhead realised a soundtrack for some Fable 2 songs along with all of Fable TLC's soundtrack as a way to apologize for messing up some of Fable 2 & that is now known as Fable 2 limited edition because they messed up the hobbs

  • @Emil3411 Thank you, I got it ^^

Do you know where I could get the other fable 2 tracks that aren't on here?

  • The Fable games are perhaps the only games ever to truly freak me out! Fable: Lost Chapters Darkwood scared me to bits! And as for the Metropolis on Snowspire, huhuhuh, sends shivers down my spine every time....Nothing beat the Grey house though...the tilting camera, the music... But Wraithmarsh is even worse, just the thought that Oakvale was once as you imagine it to be, a vibrant, beautiful place! And now fallen into shadow! Man, hats off to Lionhead for a truly awesome experience!

  • I totally agree with you... some of the graphics in this game are just down right creepy... I was biting my tongue the entire time through Wraithsmarsh because I was scared something was gonna pop out. Like in that "Ursula's home for lost souls" it's music is at about 1:27. And even some of the demon doors, like the one where you go in the house and as soon as you walk in everything explodes! My fam was watching me play it and we all screamed bloody murder!!! Haha

  • @mileycyrusfan011 Your family watches you play games? I wish my family was more interested in games than they are... They hear video games and they simply think: Waste of time. Waste of money. Pointless. Brain-rotter. No social life. "Go play outside, or talk to friends... real friends, not online friends!" They ignore the artistic and story-telling qualities of video games that are unique from other media.

  • bu think about fable 3 it will be much better qualety much larger places thinks off vrathmarch and open zone as large as a country and then loose the path and you freak out lke shit

  • @anthlocal

I like how you saw Wraithmarsh, most of the time people only complain about it and how Lionhead screwed up Oakvale, but I found it to be a very nostalgic and ....creepy experience haha

  • @anthlocal I agree completely the Grey house freaked me out so much!

  • @anthlocal I have to say the music just makes it so fucking creepy its unbelievable my girlfriend nearly passed out when a banshee popped out of no where and the hollow men popping up it was a good a experience

  • @anthlocal OMG wraithmarsh scares the shit out of me every time i go through it,and your right, to imagine it used to a beautiful couorful place like oakvale...

  • @anthlocal YEAH, I LIKE IT WHEN I SEE THE PAST IN A NEW GAME, some places look similure, man i lvoe fable

  • @anthlocal this song literally sends chills down my arms and spine. a truly fitting piece for a miraculous game

  • @anthlocal You need to play Amnesia: The dark descent

  • @anthlocal Seriously? Ever played Bioshock, or alan wake?

  • this song is scraing me...

  • i have gone through wraithmarsh about 14 times for the 4 hero's i made that got to it and the 3 main quests that each person gets that sends them to wraithmarsh, and also 2 more times on one of those heros to get the demon door their

and it freaks me out every time xD

i dont think i'll ever get used to it

  • lol was anyone else freaked by the random music box parts? oh and the zombies that loved to pop up behind you xD

  • What happened to Oakvale? I don't think they mad it completely clear. Was it Reavers fault? When you read his journal iit says he "recalls" a weaker man (himself) running through the fields after he sold his soul too the shadow court then arriving back to Oakvale watching it become engulfed in shadows. Did he sell the town & the souls of it's inhabitants for immortality?

  • Well, as far as we know Reaver did sell his soul for youth. But not for immortality, since he still has to sell more souls to the Shadow Court as he sends hero to them. Theresa also said something about man selling his soul, but I don't remember much about that. But this always makes me sad because I know what Oakvale once was. =(

  • just annother one of fable 2`s many f!@ked up moments

  • he just sold oakvale and its inhabitants to the shadow court for youth... and still has to send more souls in from time to time...

but indeed... that shit was freaky... to know that that is that beautifull little town where your ancestor grew up, only to see it desecrated 500 years later...

  • no tehy made it clear a boy betrayed the town bye releasing the shadow cult but he thought he got power but got killed wiht the rest
