at 1:20 when Hachiko is walking on the railtrack in the dark... combined with this wonderful music it makes my eyes open up like rainy clouds, dropping tears like bombs down my cheek.

This is the saddest movie I've ever seen and I would appreciate if someone could recommend any other sad movies like this one, I love sad movies.

@Ejdertoft a sad movie a recommend is marley & me it is a sad, yet happy movie, it's just like hachiko, it shows the life of a dog named Marley from the beginning to the end. A big difference between them is that in unlike hachiko, the life of its owner is rather told.

it´s a true story, in shibuya train station, you can see his statue, if they did that in memory of a loyal dog, it´s because they are our real best friends, and this movie shows exactly that. when the dog is old in the movie, and see how he walks, old it´s really sad, a good good movie and a better true story

Some people said that these type of films are no interesting `coz they could predict the ending even before the movie ended. Well, perhaps they're right, but even with just traditional theme, there still lies beauty. And I simply love that beauty of this very movie =).
