  • how much for a baby boy?

  • @boaman666 None available right now

  • they are cute

  • Proteins from this venom may soon help treat stroke, hypertension, cancer and others. I'd say he has done okay. While I can appreciate your though on the matter, might I suggest that you research the issue before condemning.

  • german-

He has not placed any species in danger, To be exact, he has done this species a great favor. Al provided venom from this species to be studied in the lab. This was a previously unknown venom and medical providers in the region had no idea as to what, if any, antivenom to use to treat bites from this species. Now we know. This is going to save many lives. As well, the venom has properties that are of great interest to biomedical researchers.

  • Al, will you be breeding these again anytime?

  • @firemedic7782 Breading now, won't know till March 2011

  • just want to know i hope your not but do you sell them?

  • @german6134 Yes

  • @viperkeeper thats just wrong no offense but you have no right to take those species and sell them you should be ashammed of yourself its people like you that give herpatology a bad name i know that can't be legal to sell exotic venomous snakes and if it is thats why so many species go exstinct is people like you i really hope you loose all of your animals because you don't deserve them if your going to sell them your a real peice of work man

  • @german6134 Just exactly what do you think I should do with them?

  • @german6134 i really don't know your the one that breed them not me so take some responsibility man alls im saying don't sell them thats how they go from common to very very rare look at the berg adder look what happened to it 0.o

  • @german6134 What do you think is the best way to reduce WC animals? By keeping them to himself? I don't think so.

  • @german6134 He doesn't give herpetology a bad name. It is legal to sell venomous reptiles. Would you rather them be taken from the wild than captively born and sold? How is breeding snakes causing them to go extinct?

  • @german6134

dude, you need to check your logic. I am not sure how you are reaching your conclusions. Are you thinking that by breeding these awesome creatures, which makes MORE of them, that the increased interest will make trappers want to catch more and therfore render the wild population extinct? Or are you saying that by creating demand for the species will make breeding so rampant that bloodlines are contaminated, which leads to extinction? Either way MORE of a species is hardly bad.

  • @german6134

Mate, he's doing a good job to be honest...

Breeding venomous species in captivity is notoriously difficult so he's genuinely providing more of the species rather than helping to destroy them,

it obviously isn't illegal to sell or keep venomous snakes or else

    viperkeeper wouldn't have any...

Learn about the point your trying to put across in more detail before

you try and acuse somebody as talented and brave as viper keeper.

And learn to spell, Herpetology & Extinct.

  • @german6134 you are a complete and utter moron. He is SAVING species in the wild from extinction, by breeding them in captivity so less snakes have to be taken out of the wild. And why the hell shouldnt he sell them, people like him are saving lives by supplying snakes to venom labs which produce anti-vennin which saves peoples lives. Please dont comment if your a moron...

  • @german6134 lol.... who are you to insult this man without even the knowledge of writing herpetology the right way... this man has more experience in snakes than you ever will...

  • did u know she was pregnat or was it a surprise because u seemed very exited

  • @koofman88 I knew she was gravid.

  • do you think that snakes enjoy eating or that its just an instinctual action to them

  • @connjamm19 I think all animals enjoy feeding.

  • How exciting! Congrats!

  • Way to GO!!

This is the first time i seen this video.

  • Do you breed mice and rats or buy?

  • @JaySkuh Buy

  • if the april 12 thing when u posted this they were born on my b day only if it realy was april 12 tho...

  • What about those cute little mouse embryos?

  • I'm sure they considered them "tasty"

  • Congrats!! Do the Bitis Parviocula lay eggs??

  • no they give live birth.

  • Absolutely fantastic job at breeding these. Well done!!

  • if he says wehoo one more time....

  • lol i know

  • Congratulations, Al!! This was very exciting to watch. Yay for the babies! How are they doing?

  • They are doing great. As far as I know only 2 of the 20 born live died so far.

  • one more thing AL, do you have only one boomslang? I remember one of your videos showing a boomslang, I would like to learn more about them.

    thanks

  • That animal was obtained for a Zoo... I don't stock A/V for them so I move them on quickly..

  • Al, I wanna ask you, whats the relation between shed and feed, you always feed your snakes after they shed. any reason for that? or is like a gift?

    thanks....

you are a very cool person and I like the way you care animals man!

  • No, they typically don't feed while they're in-shed and are hungry afterwards. Shedding comsumes their resources and feeding them replenishes them.

  • Hey i used to not watch your vids but this one is real cool and interesting and i was wondering sense i know little on venemos snakes do babys still appose a threat or do u handle them? Thanks awesome vids 5 STARS.

  • They come fully load with venom, just like their parents.

  • Lol dude your nice, your one of my favorite people on youtube.

  • Thanks :-)

  • Your Welcome, watch my video please it's worth it.

  • The last thing I would do is kill them... I will give some to friends and sell the rest.

  • They will usually hang with mom for a few days, then go off on their own.

  • i just have a quick question what are you going to do with the babies if you where to sell can you make a killing on them p.s just a question and congrats and just subscribe

  • i like the female who started in the middle of the pinky. reminds me of some of those Sonic commercials where they were advertising those foot long coneys or watever :)

  • Congrats on these, very pleased for you! Keep up the good work.

  • I know you own TONS of venomous snakes, but so you own any culebrids, or pythons?

  • No, I'm a venomous specialist.

  • Beautiful how the baby slides on the table while eating his pinky. Congrats on your babys!

  • awesome and congrats, they are beautiful, :D

  • Its so cute when its devouring Prey :)

  • dont you hate when people ask you do you have any venomous reptiles?

  • I hate stupidity in all forms.

  • i bet you do since u are handling dangerous vemonous snakes and u have to be smart and very careful...

  • Thanks Mate :-)

  • CONGRATS AL! beauties for sure. Are these the same lil guys you have on KS?

  • Those are the adults on KS.

  • can u make more videos of them eating

  • Those little baby hamsters look like gummy bears LOL :D

  • They are not hamsters, I don't use them, they are frozen thawed pink mice.

  • how did u get the snakes out of the tank once they were born

  • Very carefully....You think about it, I'm sure you can figure it out if you try hard.

  • How long have you been working on these types of animals. Im working to become a Vet/ animal keeper and want to know some things about reptiles. If you could give info that would be great! Thanks!

  • Beautiful babies!

  • oh wow al! congradulations! heh bet you feel like a proud parent/grandparent :)

  • Hey Al, congratulations you are grampa again!

  • Hi Al,

Congratulations!!! Really awesome, i think those are the first moving pics of Bitis parviocula to hit the screens.

But there have already been CBB Bitis parviocula for sale here over the pond. Nevertheless absolutely breathtaking pictures, and they seem quite eager to feed just out of mama.

    Kind regards

    Andreas

  • Was the female pregnant when it came to you? I havent seen more than one parviocula on your videos.

  • 20 specimens were brought in..

  • They appeared gravid when they arrived. I actually have pictures of the female shown "locked" up with one of the males I have while in captivity.

  • That is really cool! And stuffing the hatch already... I'm really happy for you.

  • They were born live, not hatched.

  • Ok, what I did mean was: they're eating already!

The hatch i referred to was the foodhatch :-)

  • I'm sorry...I did not read it correctly :-)Yes, the "food hatch" is being used frequently.

  • wow were they given birth to live and

why is it rare for these snakes to be born in captivity?

  • Keeping the adults alive long enough has been a problem.

  • Congrats, Al! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! ;)

  • absolutely awesome, congratulations! like you said if only all babies were so easy to start on ft, very interesting that mum's showing parental concern

  • can i buy one!!!

  • Congratulations! :)

  • maybe you can make Mr sniffs juniors a part of the mixed bag for May, or a vid of their own. Congrats on being one of the first ppl to breed Ethiopian Mountan Adders. Cheers!

  • Congrats AL! GREAT JOB!

  • do vipers give birth to live young?

  • Good question:

Some do and some don't, for instance.

Only one species of Echis gives live birth but the others in the Genus, about 6 or 7 lay eggs.

  • Congratulations dad - they sure are cute!

  • Hey how are those mr sniffs juniors doing

? I remember from a video a while back. If you still have them could you update us? Thanks Al!

  • They're doing fine..just shot some video the other day, so it will be coming up in the near future.

  • congrats mommy

  • Awesome! Its great that thr are all eating of the bat like that

  • great work Al! Really hope they all make it!

  • congratulations :D nice job, babies are looking cute as anything! keep up the good work!

  • dude im not trying to be affensive but could answer this question? why don't you feed them live? AND IM NOT DOING IT BECAUSE I WANT TO SEE A ANAMIL SUFFER im suggesting it because wouldn't it be easier for you? im just suggesting please send me a messege thanks dude you rock!

  • What's easier than poping a frozen mouse into some hot water then into the snakes mouth?

Having the frozen mouse pop itself into the hot water then walk into the waiting mouth of the snake. Duh! The second one is just not going to happen nor me keeping live colonies of stinking mice, who need to be cared for...

  • great job

  • That is too awesome, Al!! Congratulations! They are just adorable, it's great that they're eating well for you right off the bat. Yay!!

  • All the babies are eating like hogs..they seem like easy keepers far easier than the dwarf Bitis babies.

  • nice babies

  • Congrats on the babies!

  • Nice one Al, you must be proud

  • congrats al!

  • nice one.
