The problem here is that EVERYONE with cerebral palsy prays for recovery, and nothing happens! But when that 1 person in 1000 seems to recover for whatever reasons (misdiagnosis, stumbled on a cure, surgery and therapy finally pays off, etc.), they're the only ones doing all the talking. There are other non-Christian recoveries from seemingly psychosomatic disorders when the person simply believes they have received an effective treatment. Call me when you've got an amputee regrowing a limb.

Had Marlene had anything to do with this story she would have corrected this statement. CP is not a disease but rather a disorder. I wrote the author about this and they have since corrected it. Hello, I used to have Cerebral Palsy...I had the stiffness in my legs and the petite mal caesuras, I would exercise twice a day to loosen my mussels in my legs and had week gripping. I had other things as well such as learning disabilities etc...I was told in 1980's that I would be in a home and my cerebral palsy was getting worse..then in 1996 I meet a man in the streets of Toronto with a bible who tole me to start living by the word of God...today I am completely healed

God still heals miraculously. In 2008 mt achilles heel tendon was injured which takes around 8 weeks to heal. I could not put full weight on it after first week. I had a dance recital to do in afew days. I was prayed for and insantly I was able to put weight on it, run and able to do the dance a few days later. A few more days and it was back to normal. what should have taken a couple months was healed in less than two weeks.
