usually, what causes the horns to go off in a vehicle with it's interior burning is that the wiring harness behind the dash shorts out due to the fire burning it's insulation off. this does not occur in all vehicle fires, however, it is what also causes the headlights / tail lights to momentarely turn on & off & in some cases, cause the engines starter motor to engage.

@Rickyrab It's a safety feature on a lot of vehicles so if a fire, crash, etc happens it will alert people. Either that, or wires got burned off and are crossing on each other to activate the horn.

@MXMGamer The bus isn't going to explode. The fuel tank is on the bottom and would be the last to burn. The tank isnt going to blow either. The fuel would start spraying out the fuel fill. Lot of fire, no explosion, they're designed that way.
