  • Wow amazing. I want to build a camper when I have the money to do it properly. That is amazing. What did you use for the exterior ? It is a premade product? Is it metal or a poly type material.

  • talented shoulda been the name

  • I am so looking forward to buying one! Great Video!

  • Awesome! I made a toy hauler out of an enclosed trailer and it turned out nice but nothing like this! Great job! I desighned the interior and made all my own cabnets wired and installed my own AC unit, ceiling and cabnets. Im proud of mine, but you did an awsome job!

  • Amazing job family! I was curious as to if you still have the plans around or if you could kinda tell me how its done...lol I would love to do one of these but don't have the engineering brain like you got... anything would be appreciated!

  • 9300 bucks and 7 months of spare time. now you have a $30,000 rv for it i say you did well

  • You inspire me...

    Thank you

  • What an awesome idea building with your family, now you will have memories of not only camping but building the camper. Way to go Dad!!!!

  • you done such a great job i dont know how to do stuff like that much respect to you god bless you and your family

  • WOW! 9 Grand! That's awesome! I have almost 90 into mine and still have a ways to go. I rebuilt a class C into a toy hauler 4 years ago and that was about 15 or so. Great job!

  • WOW! $9K ....I've got almost 90 into mine and still going. I rebuilt a class C into a toyhauler 4 years ago and that cost about 15. Hats off to you! Looks great

  • beautiful job on that 5th wheel! just curious, how much does it weigh?

  • how long did it take

  • Not back but I see a big problem with your slide out which you didn't reinforce with a steel frame and sliders attached to the trailer frame. You are putting allot of weight on the side wall and I would like to see now if the slide out is not warped or leaking water?

  • wowww that looks so nice

  • Very nice job you guys! That's a great home away from home.

  • Hey I thought about to Build One and there is now just the question from where to get the Trailer! Can you Tell me did you just take One or from where you've got yours? Thanks a Lot!

  • You Cool !!

  • great job! i am planning to build a truck camper, just researching materials, what did you use for your exterior? is that fiberglass reinforced panels? if so where do you get them and how did you seal the joints? thanks ahead of time!

  • Way Cool!!!

  • Wow :) nice job :)

    SKK.

  • Well done job & will have to say you have LOTS of talent..

  • OMG

  • Why not give us the blueprints?

  • this is very sweet!

  • are you experienced with built on RV or you used worked for RV factory ?

  • I have to give you Credit it came out to be really nice I could live in something like that. I just couldn't build it Due to health reason, But I'll get me one soon. Be very Proud of it you have done something you can say you put all the hard work into. Have fun Camping/Living in your New Home... Sincerely, Ronnie

  • nice build

  • Looks like you had quite a task in your hands with that project. Looks awesome. Hat's off to you.

  • marvelous........!

  • Simply awsome!

  • All i can say is AMAZING.

  • Dude that is so amazing

  • Great Job!

  • RV looks great, but $9,300 WTF. Why so cheap. It looks like a $20,000-40,000 project.

  • great job

  • $9300?? I'm guessing you got a lot of free materials. The trailer alone must have been close to $2000 and the AC unit had to be close to $800. Great job.

  • very nice..

  • Bravo man, thats a stellar job you did there and probably better quality than the factory would make it.. I like all the unique touches. Pat yourself on the back man.

  • build me one

  • Nice job looks factory done.only 9300.that alot cheaper than buying one new for 40k

  • really not all to good... lol man i am so jealous and the outside makes it so it doesnt even look like a diy. Great work

  • Unbelievable. Good job pretty much 10x your investment.

  • props on that man!.. we all have are dream projects few get to execute!

  • Could you tell me where you bought your fiberglass sheets? I want to make an enclosed cargo trailer to match my fifth wheel.

    thanks

    Jeremy

  • Could you tell me where you bought your fiberglass sheets? I want to make an enclosed cargo trailer to match my fifth wheel.

    thanks

    Jeremy

  • I'm forever envious... why couldn't I have been born with handyman talent? All genetics got me was a beer belly... and I don't even drink. Talk about your all time rip-offs!

  • wow man. this looks better than some of the new factory fifth-wheels out there! I just wonder how much longer or shorter its lifespan will be, and how much heavier it is (not that you start to care about weight by the time you get to this size).

and nothing beats the complete customization that you can only get from something entirely home-made. you are one of the few people who can say "Nobody in this world has a trailer like this".

  • @snakous dude that was a freaking awesome song, I don't think there could've been a better one for this video.

  • The homebuilt slideout's the most interesting, for me. Were there any issues with leaking, leaves on the top of the slide, or the structural integrity of the rest of the box? Did the slide mechanism ever jam or wedge?

  • @snakous Thumbs up if you already had it on zero because 90%+ of Youtube audio tracks aren't worth hearing in the first place. :)

  • Amazing job and all done in the Driveway!

Thanks for posting and sharing this.

  • monumental work, congratulations!! really like!!!

  • I love it when someone uses their imagination and creates something from scratch. Dude, this is amazing! The people that have anything negative to say are the ones who are jealous that they can't build something like this and they want to knock anyone who has abilities that they either don't have or are too lazy to acquire! Good job, my friend! I bet your wife/girlfriend has fun telling her gf's about the home on wheels her hubby built whether they like the idea or not! NICE!!!

  • What a great job.........

  • I want to do this, but build a toy hauler.

  • Rediculously great job! And rather motivating!

  • Looks AWSOME. Very professional. If I hadn't seen the video I would have doubted it was homemade. Looks just like it rolled off of the factory floor. I'm impressed!!!

  • I'll take mine in red and green please...

  • Good job, looks great ! Well done, especially to the assistant engineer and the product tester !!!

  • excellent work! that takes so much motivation and hard work. very nice job. looks very very nice. equivelant to a $50,000 trailer. do it for a living.

  • looks like it could be worth 30K+

  • Wow! :)

  • felicitaciones por el esfuerzo y el gran trabajo en familia, un saludo desde argentina

  • MUCH BETTER THAN DURNEL RV & RVWHOLESALER, AVOID THEM AND GO ANY OTHER WAY OR DO THIS!

  • NOTHING BUT GREAT!

  • Great job and great pics :)

  • I always wanted to build house on a tree but this is better :)

    Very big camper, congratulations!

  • Shit $9,300! Why then do manufactures can get away with charging $50,000-$100,000+. Home build what you want, make it better and make it water tight the first time. Hell with all the money you save, go solar power. Then when you sell it you can get that $50k+. Smart just smart.

  • All I have to say is Kudos to you sir. Fantastic job. I was looking into buying a 40' fifth wheel, but if you can build it for a third of their going rate now, I'm sure I could do the same.

How did you get the plans for it? Current RV layouts or custom model design? New appliances I assume?

    Awesome.

  • Wow! I'm totally impressed! I have been looking at RV's for almost a year now. To be able to make your own, just the way you want it, and you know what the quality is, and you can do the job for $9,000+..... What a feeling of satisfaction that must be! A Big Congratulations to you! I see there are some jealous people out there that know how to make a comment on YouTube but do not even know how to spell the basics. Ah, well. They are everywhere. Anyway, great job!

  • looking at done you would not know that it is homemade

  • Freaking awesome job! I got the same love for boats, so I know waht goes into a rebuild! What did yo u use for the skin?

  • 9,300$ all i have to say is damb nice build

  • nice job

  • Comment removed

  • @timmylc wtf? what more do you want? you saw the pictures. go to the website. you cant be serious.

    let me see your project.

  • @timmylc title to biggest moron goes to you, you can definetely see these 3 guys made it their selves....idiot

  • Awsome Job Guys.

  • was it cheaper they buying a new one off the lot?

  • ... why did you make it your self i mean you made it look just like every other factory one why not making something special or if you want this just ... buy it

  • Holy jeeze man. I've seen a pretty fair share of homemade fifth wheels and other RV's, but this is by far the best built I've seen, and the one that looks most like one that rolled out of Indiana. Props to you, I'm extremely impressed

  • do u know the total weight on it? loaded and unloaded?

  • great job....end result looks more like a home than a store bought

  • good work.. im sure that takes a lot of work and obviously craftsmanship.. looks proffesional.

  • wow bet that babys heavy!

  • Humbly "Bows" in your presents

  • Nice, very nice!!! THIS REMINDS ME OF ALL MY FAMILY TOGHETHER BUILDING OUR FIRST MOTORHOME IN 1966 WITH OUR OWN HANDS.

    Rewards from Argentina!!!

  • completely amazing! Really....Awesome!

  • 13 people accidentally voted dislike

  • awesome!!!!!!

  • you are a fucking Beast!

  • Absolutely fantastic! If I were 30 years younger.... will you ever sell it?

  • you would never know that was homemade!!

  • amazing work

  • Good job man, very impressive wish i could put that together one day.

  • It's not the camper that is the important thing, it's the family who built it togeather. Somehow I get the feeling you live in Elkhart Indiana. ;O)

  • I'm totally impressed. Any negative comments would be foolish...

  • Good Job man !

  • this is brilliant

  • wow very nice.. I am 16 years old and someday i would like to do somthing similar to this:D i like building stuff too Great Job! thumbs up

  • You & your team did a great job. Congratulation. Give me some advice please. I bought a small beat up trailer for $100.00, I look at it as a challenge for me since I never try to fix up things. The reason why I bought this trailer is because I want it to fix it up. My husband thinks I'm nut but like I say, I want the challenges. God bless you and your family.

  • that is so amazing i give you props

  • Helluva job Bro, helluva job...

  • Wooooohhhww you are amazing!!!!!

  • you are too cool. to be able to build one that looks better than most mass produced is a testiment in itself. go all out on the next one. exotic flooring and counters. crystal light fixtures. as well as that one turned out, you should take on a motor coach.

  • Hey Patricia! You have got an incredible husband and daddy to your children. He can see things thru to the end. Awesome family and neighbor!

  • I admire a guy like this.

  • nice job bro.... saved a ton of cash, looks great, and best of all... u freaking did it... not an rv company............... sweet!

  • I can't believe my eyes! That is one handsome RV my friend. I really can't tell the difference in some factory-made one and your own. You've got a real talent. Excellent video!

  • nice....any idea how much it weighs?
