I like how each intro shows the focus of the game pretty well. Sims 1 was about the houses, and the intro shows the building of the house and the gradual gain of more furniture, Sims 2 was about the sims themselves, and shows off all the new things they can do as they live their lives, and Sims 3 is about the community, and shows life happening all around the town.

What I hated about the Sims 2 and Sims 3 was that gatherings and parties like this which look so fun in the trailers are not really that easy or cool, because everyone's needs are plummeting and someone always pisses themselves.

@Revq99 This was all done in Sunset Valley. That house was made by changing one of the 3 beaches from the city to an Residential lot and then building it.

i would say just stick too sims 2

@lgells14 It's more than worth it, the downside is that custom content is very difficult to make for programmers which makes it even more rare for gamers however why would you need custom content? This game can customize everything right down to the individual clothing patterns and hair strand colors plus just when you thought TS2 had enough cheats TS3 has even more and their shorter.

i have got the sims3 and i have installed it and i had to uninstall my sims2 games coz there wasn't enough memory and it installed and all and i clicked play and then it sed i don't have rite video card i got so fustrated and stuff i and i still havn;'t play it in 1 year damn my crapy dapy pc damn u!

It is possible to build a house with constrainfloorelevation and moveobjects cheat turned on, the house on 0:35 is possible to build using that although I'm surprised a house built with cheats would be in the offical intro video.

@wdjohnsen I would have to agree, like I stated in my previous post, I would be very surprised to find scenes in the official video that can only be created with cheat codes. The Sims 3 has a ton of cheat codes but I seriously doubt the company would include them in their official intro video.

@Bunnlit you can build a house there. In the game its a community lot so all you have to do is change the lot from community to residential in the edit town panel :)
