easily Abbruzzese...way different than Cameron, but being 17 when TEN came out, and never wavering from P.J...i say, as long as Ed, Mike, Stone and Jeff r there...
man everyones raggin on jack irons. have you guys never heard of the red hot chili peppers? check out his playing on the uplift mofo party plan and the chilis cover of fire
@4ellington i wore that cd the fuck out. irons had some funky grooves that were top notch. the poor dude has been through a lot in his life i feel for him. he's deff a nasty drummer and its just 80's chili peppers and pearl jam are two different beasts. anyone knocking his skill doesn't know their music.
Been looking for this particular version for years now...107.1 Channel Z in Cincinnati used to have this version in heavy rotation in early 1995 and knew it wasn't the album version. Looked for it and looked for it on boots way back then to no avail. Here 'tis. Talk about a long fucking wait!
Jack irons seems real stiff on the drums, though he did just join the band right before this and he didnt play on vitalogy, he needs to lossen up some
@spameister couldnt agree more i wish they could get him back, cameron is an ok drummer his shit with soundgarden is great, but i hate the way he plays the older pearl jam which in my opinion is the better than the new stuff i really hate that fixer song
@TheShitfobrains agreed, cameron is technically sick but he does too much and it just doesn't work...I always think abbrezzuese and grohl are the best drummers of this generation/genre
i'm embarassed to say this but i had no idea these videos existed until today and i've been a fan for 20 years. i guess i'm just not as fanatical as i once was. i had the bootleg cd's when they came out and i even taped it off the radio but never even thought they filmed it, much less released them. crazy internet stuff. headed over to the torrent site to DL now.
Man I remember waiting impatiently for this in a small town outside of St. Louis. I was15 years old. This was amazing and will always cherish it. Well played.
Ive been looking for the Self Pollution Radio videos from the past 15 years now. I just wish that they release the whole serie... Just imagine... Soundgarden, Mad Season, and others... What a gift...
So is this getting released on dvd? Or is it just simply to promote the reissue. I got the whole show complete on cd but not dvd. This is one of my favorite things Pearl Jam did. Thanks for posting.
Huge difference how pearl jam sounds with Jack Irons or Dave Abbruzzes on drums than how the band sounds with Matt Cameron drumming . Matt is a great drummer , but his drumming was never right for this band. Hope he stays with soundgarden for a long while .
Wow – Jeff is a quick-change artist. Brown T with hat one minute, white T with no hat, and then back to brown T and hat! Who knew ;-) By the way, Ed’s vocals are awesome on that track (1:37+).
some band call pearl jam...

@JubeProductions hey, can you upload the tapes with the radio recordings? That would be a nice thing to listen, just like it was broadcasted.

I WAS 16 WHEN THIS CAME OUT! What happened to the whole rock scene? We blinked, and it was gone.

In 2011 Jeff is the only one who still looks the same. He never ages!

First time I heard the self pollution stuff, it was an eye opener. I don't understand how music became what it is now....

I was in 10th grade when KROQ in Los Angeles broadcasted this. I loved them then as much as I do now.
