has METHANE polar caps, they are melting at a rate the same of which as the WATER ice caps on earth.

The sun goes through active periods, there's no such thing as a stable solar cycle, so wouldn't it make sense to look at the sun first for climate change?

I don't deny fossil fuels are destructive, but I think there's always a more logical answer when planets within our solar system are having

The greenhouse effect is well understood (what you call a UN plot is actually the honest conclusion of a scientific tradition spanning back to the 1800s (though there are tricks to measure climate from much deeper in history, of course). A warming earth is an arid earth with higher sea levels. this is real and dangerous and we need to act now.

Climates do change but over thousands of years! The changes we are seeing now are happening at a much faster rate. The scientific community is certain that Climate Change is a real thing. Greenhouse gases are changing the equilibrium of the planet and that is screwing everything up. Karthik, you right that the difference in Carbon emmissions per person in both countries is great. America's is much higher. However, It will take the US much longer to turn green as all its industry has been focused on working a new way. Im not saying they will never go green just that since they are no longer in the development stage its harder. India however is emerging and can make its new building greener than ever before. You guys are starting fresh.

I've been to India and I like your country. I saw many rich and even more people there. I'm from a developed country so perhaps it is easier for me to say this but I don't think efforts to curb climate change are a plot to make poor people poorer. From what I saw, India has a lot of talent and a cheap pool of labour. You can position urselves to clean U.S. clocks when it comes to green tech. Alternatively, you have even more to lose should there be more climatic/social/economic instability.
