For example: A Moon Stone can evolve a Clefairy, Nidoran etc

It'll be Murkrow if you have Diamond but I don't know about Platinum.

when you get to sunyshore city, go to the route just before and have a strong grass or electric type pokemon and a pokemon you want to train holding the exp share, battle the fishermen and you get your exp up in no time
