  • Picked me up one yesterday........cleaned it and busted off 5 rounds through it, I also am a happy camper with my 91/30

  • holy cow you got a good one

  • Does that read "MO" beneath the "1939" on your rifle's receiver? If so, that means it's a Ministry of Defense rifle. They're relatively rare!

What I don't get is why is there an Izhevsk arsenal marking (the triangle) to the top right of the Tula arsenal marking? Was it manufactured in Tula and refurbished at Izhevsk?

  • @ElJulioso I can't tell if it's a MO...I thought it was "No." But it is hard to say for sure, that stamp is very small and light. I think the reason for the contradictory arsenal markings is it was mfg'd by Tula and maybe "re-arsenalled" by Izhevsk. The various serial numbers don't match up and several were crossed out and re-stamped to match the serial number on the barrel.

  • I'm getting one of these ASAP can't resist a gun that price especially as amazing as this rifle is!!! O_O

  • was this brand new when you got it from cabelas

  • @dumcatmischief Nope...it was manufactured in 1939.
