I remember when I first played this and Metal Sonic attacked me with the damn level selector....I was so confused. Then it broke apart and I got really worried....and once he appeared as Metal Sonic Kai, I honestly was scared. That battle is easy as hell, but the way Metal Sonic Kai looks, the arena your in to battle him, and music in the background seriously scared me a bit.
It's pretty sad that I never knew about this game or any of the Chaotix until at least the three of them were reintroduced in Sonic Heroes but back then I didn't really see any ads for the addons like the SegaCD one or the 32X I think I may have gotten My Genesis a little late in it's lifespan as the free game I remember getting with it was not Sonic 1 but rather Sonic & Knuckles (the lock on cartridge without Sonic 3 which I never did own on a Genesis but did play it and Sonic 3 & Knuckles *2bc
*Continued* (But did play Sonic 3 & Knuckles on the PC version and Mega Collection these days I play it on Wii Virtual Console and if I need to be off a TV or am on the go I play it on Classic Collection for DS and it's one of My fave. @halfpipe1011 From my experience as a kid, using Charmy was the best for everything. I flew through most of the stages and was actually able to beat the game (unlike other Sonic games when I was little, and I had owned Sonic 2 and Sonic and Knuckles).
Ugh, too bad my mom made me throw away my Genesis and 32x and sold all my Genesis/32x games to GameStop T_T before we moved to a new house.
Sega have to make Knuckles Chaotix 2 or something like that. this game would be god damn awesome with some polishing. Would be a great title for WiiWare, PSNetwork and XboxArcade.

I played this game recently sometime last year (on an emulator unfortuneatly because I can't afford gametap and Sega and Sonic Team just won't bother to put it on a compilation or release it on XBLA or Wii Virtual Console) its an odd game but its odd in a fun way even if the controls are a little screwy at times, I have a lot of fun playing as Mighty and Espio, though I kind of wish Charmy could attack enemies easier still need to fool around more with Vector and Knux. Still a fun game *2bcont.*
I always hated the fact that you had to pick your partner randomly. but it added to the gameplay... so as much as I hated it.... it was good. but.... I often wondered. why is there a section in that machine. made for metal sonic? I mean... common. it's like it was made for him... does anybody have an explination for this? was the machine made by eggman?
