  • i remember this. way back when NCSU was relevant. bwahahaha they're terrible.

  • sucks that he got shot

  • once again herb sendek proves he is a better coach than calgoon. with 1/50th of the talent he raped the hu$kie$ in the asshole like they like it, we know they like it because conneticut is the gay marriage legal capitol of the planet and all homosexuals move there to have gay incestual boy love sex with eachother and spread their aids and hiv and swallow the sperm of eachother. i heard on cnn that the uconn campus is the most gay infested college of all time and that it is full of the aids

  • @nukethewhales13 There paint-huffing hobos laughing and pointing at you right now.

  • @nukethewhales13 your fucked

  • Went to this game. And never had gone crazier in my life. Plus most of the stadium were UCONN fans. So it was awesome.

  • That commentator gets me so amped! Nowadays upsets like this happen all the time.

  • Had to revisit close to the original anniversary. "When we hungry, we eat." "You scared get a dog." If he can get shot in the thigh and continue to play ball, Julius is not going to be denied by UCONN with the game on the line. All Hail Julius.

  • i remember being at this game, we had a huge lead at the half, then we got a few bad calls and blew it

  • Hodge should've said YOU MIGHT WANNA GET THE FUCK UP BITCH!

  • If we had beat Wisconsin, then a 3rd loss to UNC to end the season would have followed.

  • Had to have been 2005 because I remember they easily beat UNC Charlotte to get to the game and people were talking about how it was purposely set up for this matchup. Then Sendek cost them the Wisconsin game after.

  • Julius Hodge rewls

  • i used to love julius hodge!

  • this was the ast decent wolfpack team all downhill from there

  • me and my dad went absolutely nuts watching this on tv, go wolfpack!

  • i was there but it sucked because uconn lost

  • I was on my way home from a violin lesson and listening on the radio that day. I was in 8th grade and crying... :/. A) I'm a wimp and B) I was looking forward to a second straight championship, cuz that year I knew it could be done.

  • yes state won then next game we blew a 20 point lead against winsconsin

  • Fuck, I was at the sweet sixteen game against wisconsin. herb tried to take over, and instead took jules out of his rhythm. and god damnit if we just hung on, we'd beat the national championship tarheels in the elite eight.

I'm glad they beat Nova, though. Fuckin nova fans are tards and assholes

  • @Harrisonmon Yeah Wisconsin hung close and almost beat UNC too. And that was the furthest they have been in a while too. And still after that upset, UConn was still predicted to be #1 the following year because of all the young talent they had- Boone, Armstrong, Williams, Brown. Then they lose to George Mason.

  • @NCSTATEwolfpackBOI can you spell?

  • we were only up 10 against wisconsin u idiot.

  • Did they win???

    He's coming back to the 36ers for a 2nd season :D

  • this still gives me the chills....Julius is my man

  • hope he makes the nets roster this season

  • He has done well over here in Australia. Only played half a season and already became an MVP candidate and was scoring 30+ ppg.

  • Man, when I was in middle school/freshman year of High School...I liked Julius Hodge cuz he was my fav player for NC State, even though I'm a Duke fan...But, I miss that NC State team...I wished Herb had a ring, cuz State would have had Carolina that year...I like Sidney Lowe, but I think both of them were/are great coaches for NC State.

  • uhh to you idiots tryin to take shit away from hodge and this game, we were a 10 seed you dipshits..

  • this video is stupid...that was either a moving pick or a trip

  • his white fiancee is hot as hell

    way to go julius

  • i met julius hodge today at the homes dome in adelaide hes tall. pretty cool tho got his singnature on my 36ers ball.

  • I'm sure Rudy Gay is still upset about being "punked" by Julius Hodge. I would bet after he puts his 19PPG on the board in the NBA, he still is sad about this. Actually, I bet the other 4 guys that play in the NBA from this Uconn team are still upset as well. BTW,how is Hodge's NBA career going along these days?

  • Way to sum up UConn's poor attitude/effort. "UConn just lost because its players were all looking ahead to the NBA where they could drop 20 points a game, not play defense and be adored for it by idiot fans." Couldn't have put it better myself. Hodge is doing fine. He's got a 4-year college degree and his self-respect. Hopefully Gay and the others can use their NBA salaries to buy at least one of those things.

  • I somehow doubt they are envious of him.

  • I guess when you win championships as recent as 1999 and 2004, its ok to have an off-game sometimes. However, in NC States case...

seems like the past few years, every game is an off night.

  • Speaking of off nights, it doesn't appear you take an them from responding to youtube comments. Do you patrol these things looking for an argument? That's almost as sad as your "well, my team may have dogged it in the big game, but at least they're making money in the pros" approach to college sports.

  • Umm no. I got the email telling me you responded to my comment. I never said they "dogged" it or the NBA was the reason for the poor play that night. I simply stated that when it came to true talent, it was obvious who, overall, was and still is, far superior....

  • I'll take heart over talent any day. Heart is one of the reasons why you still see clips of the '83 National Championship. Can't say the same about the '99 or '04 Title games. And sure State hasn't had much recent success. I never said they did. But I'd rather see a lesser team overachieve than a more talented team sleepwalk through what could have been a run to another National Championship. I'm referring to the Huskies here, in case you were wondering.

  • NC State won that game, great, but not only did Uconn "punk' State in the second round a few years earlier, but in comparing the two teams, we both know where the talent lies. NBA=TRUE TALENT...just ask JJ Redick...and ,of course, Julius Hodge

  • lay the fuck off redick. i care about college so him being an insane college player is what matters to me and true college basketball fans

  • redick didn't go to state he went to dook you have to do better then drag up failed dookies granted there is alot of them

  • My local team in Australia, Adelaide 36'ers, have just signed him as their new import. Hopefully he can recreate some of that magic!

  • i thought he was on the Denver Nuggetts?

  • now julius plays in my team (Varese, Italy)but he is not very good..he is too slim..

  • Come play college ball, let's see who the good one is....

  • LOL i hope to god, this is not NC State fans' greatest moment in recent history? that sucks! and a Hodge jersey retired???? lololololololololololololololololololololololol

  • i was screamin at the top of my lungs and i was flipping out when i saw it i swear i felt my house shake casue my sister mom and dad were screamin so loud

  • LOL Nelson getting up off the floor.

  • julius hodge is great.

this play shows his cool in a tough situation.

everyone knows he was upset from UConn's 77-74 win in the Tourney the last time we played (like a year or two before this).

    GO STATE!

  • fuck uconn!

  • i didn't like julius hodge for the most part, because of his arrogance, and i don't agree with his jersey being retired, but props to him for this one...he stepped up and made the play after losing to uconn in the ncaa two years earlier. great revenge

  • his number wasn't retired, just honored. state's only retired jersey is #44, david thompson.

  • oh okay, maybe i can sleep a little easier now lol. thanks for the info

  • love it....gave me chills watching this again.

  • julius hodge was the greatest nc state player of the last 15 years

  • great call by herb sendek to not call a timeout because it would give time to change defenses. Sidney Lowe called a timeout against WVU and it screwed us up. i wish we could combine the sendeks in game tactics and sindey lowes spark

  • i'd have to disagree with you there...sendek really wasn't that great with in-game tactics, in fact, he would rarely ever adjust to anything. on the other hand, sidney lowe has shown that he can draw up specific plays in critical times of the ball game and be successful.

  • jumping under the basket and flopping does not = charging

  • Obvious charge

  • OH BABYYYYYY! That's my boy!!!!

  • I fucking LOVE it!!

  • uck fuconn
