We watched this in English class (correlation of Alexie's novel "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian), and I ended up really liking it. Don't let the lame narrative trailer stop you from watching it.
Just read The lone Ranger.. on my last story now.. really great movie. looking forward to watch this movie.. just curious.. what does it mean to "fancy dance?"
i liked this movie. i had the same childhood as victor. .and when i first watched this...man, did i ever almost cry. but i held it in...because it was in a classroom, and i didnt wanna cry in front of the class..cuz u know how highschool is, right? other then that. its an amazing movie.
We should all watch it in school, just to get some kind of idea to counterbalance what our white-history manuals say (or don't) about Native culture. We have little knowledge about their experience of the past and none at all about their present.
@fuschiadea Yes they should stop the reservation thing & give them their land back. Or they should live like citizens how they want(tribes) on land they can own. It shouldn't be so hard to reverse the damage.
@eachamarue2 Yeah sorry that's true you can't reverse that damage. But maybe they can give whatever they can back in the path to accept what happened & move on.
im white but i spent three weeks on the blackfeet rez this summer doing volunteer work. it was amazing. this reminded me of just how much i miss it there

@Acharmye There is no such thing as reversing the damage, only accepting what has happened and moving on.

@camerondiaztwin No shit buddy, thats why I said the trailer doesn't do the film justice.

@geandily - try not using sarcasm on the 'Net, since most people don't pick up on inflection. That should be obvious
