Actually Klute isn't intelligent DnB...intel. dnb is more ambient and jazzy, like LTJ Bukem and Blu Mar Ten. Klute is more club oriented, which is why I said it resembles house.
"Klute's style of drum and bass is strongly influenced by techno. It is deep and progressive, with flavours of house, dub and trance, and frequent use of vocals. Although Klute is one of the most melodic and musical producers in drum and bass, his tracks are still typically intended for the DJ and dancefloor. They should not be classified alongside the atmospheric or "intelligent" drum and bass popularised by LTJ Bukem, nor should they be considered to be liquid funk." -Klute's Wikipedia Page
come on guy this was wrote by hawkwind years ago so do the right thing and ask for permission first as mr brock and co are a good bunch of people and would nt mind you using the track, but ask first eh,it is called zarozinia from chronicles in 1985,by the mighty hawkwind and not klute in 2008.not a patch on the original.
What planet do you live on? Hawkwind would not make the decision on music rights, it would be their money hungry record label. Independent artists such as Klute wouldn't stand a chance in hell at getting these samples cleared. Saviour and Zarozinia are both beautiful pieces of music. I personally would be horrified if a song like this hadn't been made because of dollars. By the way, awesome video Michaela!!!!
stealing another artists work like this is appaling behaviour and shows that this klute fella has no integrity.
hawkwind have supported those wanting to use their material for remixes in the past, so why not ask permission or at the very least credit the artists for their work.
This song was written in 1985 for a Hawkwind concept album and stage show called "The Chronicles of the Black Sword" based on a series of books by Michael Moorcock about a hero called Elric. Zarozinia was the wife of Elric.
It is not called Saviour and is not written by Klute. It is called Zarozinia and should be credited to writers Dave Brock/Kris Tait and Hawkwind......

this video makes me feel...hmm I don't want to say "sad" as that's too generic...maybe lonely? melancholy? with this track it definitely puts me in that "touchy feely" kinda mood. Klute is a masterful producer for sure.

It's not pseudo-house it's just a different style of dnb that resembles house. I'm also glad Klute made this song tolerable, let alone enjoyable.

It's called Intelligent Drum and Bass actually.

Excellent track and video. I could not careless were Klute got the sample from.

As cover songs go, this is truly shite. Poppy pseudo-house gay break-beat drivel. When Brock's king this guy will be first against the wall.

Rip off......Klute is a thief!

nothing wrong with a bit of plagiarisms
as if there was then hawkwind wouldnt have a career as how many times have they used the lines
Lives of great men all remind us 5 We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time;
as thats just ripping off Henry Wadsworth Longfellows A Psalm of Life

simplicity is whats missing from just about all electronic genres nowadays. even minimal techno tries to be too clever.
