assuming they've all been singing for a long time: an untrained voice will be about 2 octaves. Trained 2 1/2 to 2 3/4. Devoted about 3. Then there's Freddie Mercury at 3 1/2. 6 octaves is physically impossible. Billy Corgan is a monster but 6 ain't happening for anybody.
