Did you have special permission to tape this? When my mother visited a taping of TPIR a few years back you weren't allowed to bring cameras into the studio.
Incidentally, Studio 33 is the same stage of the Jack Benny Show, Red Skelton, Carol Burnett, Sonny & Cher, Ray Combs Family Feud, Hollywood Squares with Bergeron, and numerous others.
I'm not sure what your question is. Do you mean get rid of it for the Drew Carey set? They actually auctioned the set off on a website called Charity Folks.
I knew this looked very small for the Price is Right set, and after reading all the comments, yeah, this is small.
The doors seemed so quiet on TV, but they're pretty noisy. Do they work automatically at the touch of a button, or do stage hands have to pull/push them on the inside of the doors or turn a crank or something? The floor looks real dirty, too, but I guess that's because the lights aren't turned on as brightly as they are during the show.
ya i have been on the show (in the audience i didnt get picked) so i know the whole routine to get i the show. Yes the Studio is very small! the stage is WAY small too, they just shuffle the different games around when its time.
yes but bob always looks toward his left.

@pnfl07 that what I did when I took the video...not sure what you are saying?
DBradshaw25 1 year ago
@DBradshaw25 I'm saying when Bob comes through the big doors, he always
look more to the left, which would be our right.
pnfl07 1 year ago
@pnfl07 Well, I walked the exact line he used to across the stage and looked directly where the camera would be sitting - soooooo.....that's that.

It looks nice to see this rare video of the Price is Right set without a screaming audience in it! It seems relaxing when you see it like this.

To see a hand built model of Studio 33 at CBS, google "Price is right ontheset" and hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button.

That stage looks so small from Bob's (now Drew's) point of view. It looks huge on TV.

Yes, it's a rope of sorts. It was operated by a pulley system. I'm assuming the new set operates the same way.

I went down to a taping of "The Price is Right" on April 3, and I also agree that the studio is a lot smaller than how it looks on TV.
