I love DGM. I went to the dealer convinced that I wanted to buy a Satin White Pearl w/ Gold BBS (which I might some day!), but man...when those press release photos came out with the DGM STI...I was sold on that color!

Im not gonna lie the Sti lost a little bit of its agressive look but the interior looks awesome and it has definetly not lost any of its bite as youve said and I dont mind the wagon I wont draw as much attention when Im working and visiting patients houses I already picked it out I got an 08 white satin pearl with the gold bbs package I pick it up tommorrow!!! I will definetly post a video so you can see it g00ber!
The red line RPM dropped to 6700, It used to be 7k, the J-Spec EJ207 is 8k RPM. Most likely Subaru took a closer look at the power curve this time around. The car peaks ~6.000-6.500 RPM..and probably minor changes to the fuel curve and other things made the need for a 7k red line obsolete.
When I had my MY06 it was about the same, the extra 500-700RPM the car allowed had no extra power, but maybe was a bit more of a safety buffer for the spirited drivers that might take it a bit overboard.
totally agree. I love the GR platform, but the sedan looks funky with the fender flares...some company put them on a wrx sedan...idk, it just didn't look right. Btw, I vividly remember reading a comment on nasioc that said "do I know you from youtube? I'm g00b3r7 on there" haha
great video. answered some of my questions that reviewers didnt make very clear. rev indicator beep sounds the same as the 07, i like the technology this new model has but i dont like the look of it, i dont like the idea of a hatchback. looks like a regular hatchback to go shopping with, only it has a big spoiler on the back and 17inch wheels, but thats just me. i like the sedan better i hope the bring it back.. does the intelligent mode save on gas mpg?
It's in the eye of the beholder type of car, definitely hard to get used to when a lot of us are used to the aggressiveness of the '04-'07 models. Intelligent mode does save on gas, but not by much. I actually had a bit I made talking about gas mileage in the different modes, but I just couldn't word what I wanted to say right.
yea i guess. i agree they do need to make a 09 STi sedan. I actually drew a picture of what i think the 2010 STi sedan should look like. If u wanna see it let me know. i have another request though, kinda dumb but envious. i know what the door/seatbelt chime sounds like on the 07, can u do a video of this one with the chimes when the door is open w/o engine on, then start it up. and then the sound it makes when u open the door while engine is on. there was somethin else i wanted 2 see but i 4got

Nah, they displace another .5L in the motor (2.5L opposed to 2.0L)..and are setup differently than the EJ207.
They are more than capable of passing 6700RPM with the right setup though.

It's my dog tags hanging from my mirror hitting the dash just aove the radio...nothing serious =].
There is no difference from the 08->09 models according to Subaru, anything major enough to warrant saying anything at least.

Hi.Please can you explain me why your subaru has only 6500 rpt till it reaches the red line and other have 8000 until it reaches the red line.
