  • from 2:20 is just amazing!

It's different in this video to how they sing it on the recording, it's much better here!

The tenor/bari lock at 2:30 is outstanding and then the final chord!

Oh my god Gary Lewis is just perfection!

  • I really want to see them live!!

  • oh man, i miss that opening tag! you don't have it, do you?

  • what is the song?

  • @ChrisisBass13

    It's called 'Rhythm Medley'

and its on Journey, their newest album =)

  • @MTGlipp thanks man!

  • LAST CHORD!!

    GARY LEWIS IS A GOD!!

  • Wait, is Gary up there on the 5th or is it an amazing overtone?

  • @Ex0P0l1t1c5

    Gregs on the 5th

and Gary is giving people's lives new meaning by singing the 3rd =P

The man can do anything =)

  • @MTGlipp He sang the 3rd here, but on the recording its obvious he sang the fifth.

  • @ChrisisBass13

    O RLY?

    well I haven't got the album =P

But I've got no idea why they would want to change the voicing when I listen to how perfect that last chord sounds on this video =3

  • @MTGlipp who knows. I just hear the change from a Bb ( gary) to D, and it doesnt sound like gregs falsetto, in fact it sound more like full voice. But here, I hear Greg full voicing a B like a boss.

  • Wow!! They locked that last chord! WOW!!

  • I don't think I've seen another group have as much fun as this group does. Like Fred says, "That's why it's called a 'hobby'; it's not a job we dread." True professionals one and all; bravo!

  • lol... it looks almost as if Tony bet Greg that he could make Jeff laugh, but it didn't work. :)

There's nothing more awesome than when a quartet can fool around while performing a song and still sing it perfectly. It's the performance within the performance.

  • Ha ha, if you like to see them have a good time and entertain while keeping pitch, then you need to watch "Here's to the Losers"

    watch?v=WkWLEODo2e0&feature=related

  • one word: SING!!!!! bahahahahaha

  • One word. Oxley. DAAAMN.

  • Just bought the sheet music. But i'm still jealous. The presence and pitch control throughout the song is incredible. When you have a baritone like Gary Lewis, there's no way you can go wrong. Tony...enough said. Jim really shows his talent without being to loud, and standing next to Tony. lol. Jeff is a god.

  • jim?

  • Greg lol, my bad.

  • It's not fair that Gary can do that shit. Just not fair. Stupid how good that man is.

  • This is the sound of what makes the universe exist. Amazing.

  • ahhhhh!!!! favorite max q song... what happened to the beginning of the video with the awesome boner chords in the beginning???? hahaha man o man!!! wooo...

  • Holy crap!

  • WOW.

    Just...wow.

  • Holy Tag...

I wish they would do another CD with all of their crazy arrangements they sang in contests since their first cd.

LIke this and little pal, plenty of other crazy stuff.

  • I know, the kids' CD was kind of a disappointment song-wise.

  • Well I actually really liked the Kids' CD, a lot of the charts were really cool and difficult. I just want a CD with this song, Little Pal, Here's to the Losers etc. More MaxQ in my life would be great.

  • they did!

    pick it up!

it is the greatest CD everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Yeah I picked it up in Anaheim, God granted my wish!! It really is a great CD, it's one of those CD's that you listen to three times in a row when it's new.

  • Check out their CD "Journey" - Well worth the buy. Fantastic songs, arrangements and quality. Highly recommended!

  • Holy tag indeed.

  • that tag was nice, they should have gary sing lead all the time as far as I'm concerned.

  • Stop pointing down Jeff!!! We all know you can sing low!! lol

  • those were epic snaps at 1:50

  • where can I find the original version of the marvelous max q singing this back in the day ??? on there '06 competition???

  • Anybody know if Gary or Greg is singing the high 3rd in the last chord? I think it's Gary, and Greg on 5. What about the arranger? I was guessing Greg Volk.

  • it is gary on and grag on 5th...

  • *greg

  • Aaron dale

  • Perfectly tuned barbershop chords. Wish I was in the room for this.

  • "Sing!!!!!"-Tony DeRosa. LMAO!

  • This video really shows how good a tenor Greg is, despite laughing halfway through. Can't blame him though. lol.

  • Incredible! These guys are THE BEST.

  • yes!
