wish the camera man had taken more shots of the truck and not of the guys face...c'mon man tryin to jack off to the truck here NOT the builder, sheesh!!!
Has this truck run any comps yet? I am interested to see how the IRS holds up. Very few have tried that route. Lots of moving parts back there vs the solid axle. There was another TT that was testing an IRS but I think it is shelved.
I wish this guy built trucks for one of the big three! All we get from the big three for off road capability is sticker and shock packages they call the off road package! I would laugh but it is not funny. The Ford Rapture didn't go far enough! Race trucks have around 30inches of wheel travel not 8-11inches!
They also cost about 300-500 thousand dollars. The rapture is like 30k? Not to mention that these teams go through months of testing so that their drivers are satisfied with the suspension and weight distribution. If you wanna play, you gotta pay, theres no easy way.
You are right about the price of one of these trucks, the reason is that it is a one off, if it were mass produced it might potentially be $40,000.? Metal is $30.ish a ton right?
Even if it were mass produced, you cant expect a machine to have all the necessary parts to withstand the punishment of a trophy truck to be under 150k. Think about cars that produce 500hp, how much do they cost? How about a high end corvette or viper? These machines can do everything they can, just on the bumpiest, softest roads on the planet.
GREAT WRK....
i truly recognize pro work here... much respect to the shop... amazing vehicle, with great technology and expert engineering behind it...
