  • Forearm strengthening = wrist curls with a dumbell or barbell.

This exercise = how to kill forearm nerves

  • I would lower the stance to work the legs, as well as strengthen the core, especially with the twists. Also, must recommend to use Dit Da Jao before and after this drill. good stuff.

  • I think it's high time for me to learn REAL martial arts, as opposed to the stuff I see in video games. Your videos are very helpful, thanks!

  • I did this with my father when I was young. Good memories...

  • is this called "sam tsing"?

  • @jd9547 The first one is Called "Kat Sao", the second hit "Sam Sao" and the third is called "Sing Sao".

I call them Kat Sam Sing to go fast. Also the more strength you put the less you feel with these blocks. It's an excellent way to get strong forearms.

  • @JKDisback another question... is it normal for your arms to feel like they're going to "break"? lol and would you recommend doing it as hard as possible? or as fast as possible? or both?

  • @jd9547 Yes very normal if you do it correctly you cant do this more than 1 minute without wanting to cry lol. I suggest keeping a good rhythm and hitting as hard as you can without purposely wanting to hurt your partner.

  • @JKDisback

    Is that wing chun terminology?

  • @TonyMon16 I don't speak Mandarin but that's how we call it at my gym. So to answer your question, yes.

  • hey, we also do this in my kung fu school :)

  • Love the vids! I've never trained any martial arts so this is amazing to me.

I wish I could train with you.

  • this is an arnis coordination drill without the canes :3

  • i did this ins isshinryu class, its my favorite excercise.

  • my dad showed me this, only think is i don't have the kung fu oil to rub on the bruises..

  • Use a pole if you don't have a partner.

  • @Maskdefender Good idea, lol I just kept punching my forearms cause I didn't have a partner.

  • @Maskdefender Does that also explain why in movies, the character trains with a wooden dummy that is not padded?

  • theres a better way of doing this!

  • First, and can you make more videos on strengthening bones by your self without a partney?
