@MrDanielCowan artists making covers of other artists is a way for people to enjoy a certain song without having to listen to the original version. not everyone is going to like the same genre of music. and usually when people make covers, its in a different genre.

@MrDanielCowan As another person replied, covers are usually different genres. But really, they're just... different. I love Sam's version of this son, I love Glee's version, and I love the original. Just because people like one version over another doesn't mean anything. And hey, I would never have /heard/ of Journey without Glee. So think of it as /exposing/ OUR generation to culture rather than taking away from it, because that's all they're doing - and enjoying themselves.
