  • I have always loved border collies. Too bad I live in the city and a small house. :(

  • Fuck I live in apartments! But I want collie so bad!

  • @Toxiop You could have a border collie in an apartment but long daily walks are essential for a breed like this.

  • My border collie is nuerotic and hyper. She barks at birds and loves to think that everyone is her friend

  • fizbee hat

  • I'd train it to do all that, but I'm too broke to afford a larger yard or something like that. Plus, don't know how :P

  • i don't think my collie has laser vision like the one at 2:00. Maybe he's just more secretive about it

  • My collie knows her rights and lefts... and half of our language.. xD

  • @ThatPiaRene So does collie jake!

  • 3:06 for extreme cuteness

  • Has any of u guys seen a sheepdog competition border collie vs shetland sheepdog

  • So cute

  • *I'm

  • Darn ! I have to re-think about getting a Border Collie ! I'll too lazy to train it...

  • Who decided "lets have the border collie ride a missile into someone's house while swinging a cowboy hat!" Lol

  • @robotpanda77

Its a movie reference to Dr Strange Love.

  • @7flyinghecks You're right! I didn't even think of that. That explains the cowboy hat. Lol

  • This is my favorite dog breed ever, but sadly I am way too lazy for training one XD

  • exactly 2 years old this video

  • 3:07- the dog's all "Dad, can we move on please?"

  • They're training Canine Rocket Scientists to jump on their back? Wast of talent, rocket ships are much cooler.

  • I love border collies. I saw a lot of them in Ireland.

  • my border collie picks up my laundry, opens doors, knows 8 hand signs, and over a dozen verbal commands...and I have only had him 2 months. He is smarter than 90% of my own human family.

  • my fave part was 1:04

  • To our beloved border collie Mystery, wherever you are, we all miss you badly. She ran away about a year ago in Mckeeport, PA

  • my border collie has floppy ears, and gets walked at least 3 times a day. So, i never really realised they were hyper dogs since theyre tired alot from walking;)

  • they don't even mention that Border Collie was originally a type which many different looks. Neither do they mention the many colors, ear-shapes and furtypes these dogs have.

  • @Jamesdurbinrules Hundreds of years of breeding them to be the perfect listening and also initiatif sheperd dog :) and believe me they are smart, i had my puppy for 1 hours and she already knew the whole house like she lived there her whole life XD

  • @TheLienebeast same goes for gsd

  • Very very VERY active dog, great dogs if love hiking mountain trails!

  • Great information. I love it and will view the other video's as well. Fantastic meterial for my website meandmydogtips. Thanks for sharing!

  • I love dogs 101.

  • My baby is a Border collie mixed with Boston terrier. She is the best dog I have ever had and shes my best friend. <3

  • I love collies, this makes me miss my friends! I've never had one but i used to help train and look after my friends collie Milo, i was heart broken when she re-homed him last year! When they first got him he was terrified of everyone and everything! But he came on so much and became the perfect dog! Well my perfect dog (obviously not hers) If anyone wants to see a video of him i have one on my channel. Here is the link f

  • @TheMissChloe98 It won't let me link it :L Just go onto my channel.

  • After my fanily got a border collie we cant get any other dog there jus thee best! lol

  • does this dog HAVE to work with sheps or can i have it in a big house and go out and run with it and play and do tricks with it every day too?

  • @Kiretrams1 it doesn't have to be a sheepdog, they do make great pets! IF your willing to walk/run with it everyday and train it, and not just the normal sit, stay they benefit from trick training and what would be really great is if you did obedience/agility or flyball with it too! Of course this is not necessary but they enjoy it :)

  • @TheMissChloe98 Thanks you (: i would soooo LOVE to do that! i have a collie now, and i got him when he was old and he doesnt like to do all these things so it makes me kinda sad cause i would really like to do that and train a dog do do such things, he can do pretty many tricks, but i think its easier to learn them when they are younger and the border collie is AMAZING

  • @Kiretrams1 Your welcome, I've never had my own collie, but I would LOVE one! I used to look after my friends and my granddad has working collies, my auntie also has 2 and I'm using her female to run agility soon, she's a failed worker as she's scared of the sheep lol! So hoping she might like agility! I know ha, they are so smart, my favorite breed in the world!

  • @TheMissChloe98 a collie or a border collie? (: i have a border collie, and hes 12 years old now :/

hahahaha scared of sheep? xP haha that would be good for me if i got a border collie then :P but i wanna live out in the open and have a dog and much space and all that. maybe i should get sheep to so the dog can have some sort or "job" cause i guess they like that D: yeah same here, and its so beautiful (:

  • @Kiretrams1 Border collie lol i'm not sure i could spend all my time brushing a rough collie haha! Aw I bet he's adorable :3 I'll never have sheep for mine when i get one in years to come ha, to much hassle getting all their injections etc :L I'll just find something else for it to do! :) I've always liked training my dog although I don't think she feels the same way all the time lol! I've recently started agility with my dog too, she's a 1 year old lab x staffy she really loves it!

  • @TheMissChloe98 nah its not really that much brushing actually :P but u can get alot of hair from him xp

ah yeah maybe youre right D: but i want the dog to be happy ofc D: what else could it do as a work? D: just guarding and stuff? but dont thing there will be much to be guarding :P i love training dogs! but just wish my dog where a little more intrested of learning and such things, hes only doing it for candy xP yeah i did that a little with my dog too, not serious but he kinda likes it :D

  • @Kiretrams1 Um you could try to make him a pat dog if he's that sort of dog or make him wear a bag pack thing when you walk him so he thinks he's working? Everyone says that they have to have a job to do but if he's old and isn't interested he probably would be happy just playing fetch! lol My friends border collie didn't do anything for a job and was quite happy playing fetch, but he did have a lot more energy but he was only 1 years old but he probably would have liked flyball. Miss him:'(

  • Dogs are AWESOME!!!!!!! I want one :) but my mom says that it's not appropriate in the city :(((

  • @LuvFood100 tell her to get a smaller dog, like a staffordshire bull terrier

  • Best human-adapted breed for a diligent and dedicated dog-owner. If you have the time an the effort, and love dogs, a good BC will never cease to amaze you.

  • Collies are beautiful :) and so full of character :) I love my collie with all my heart :)

  • 0:07 WOW!!!

  • my border collie will herd my sister like shes a sheep, and bite her heels.. my sister hates Kaittie, but she is VERY smart, and she loves me, and doesn't herd me..... she also knows how to play tetherball! :D she will do flips when she hits the ball with her nose! she is very sweet. :3 oh yeah and shes sooooo nervous,, she will pee if someone that she doesn't know pets her, well even for my grandpa, which lives with us! :O

  • my border collie is really good she only chocked 2 thing when she was a puppy

  • Really smart dog? Mine is a moron XD lol but we love her.

  • my Border Collie is stupid somehow she sits outside looking at the washing line lol

  • @joshlawton94 She probably wants to hunt it because its interesting to her.

  • @joshlawton94

Your Border Collie is "stupid" because you obviously didnt have the time or patiance to train it to do anything. No dog is stupid. Some dogs are just trained more then others.

  • @joshlawton94 She's probably trying to figure out how she can turn it into a rocket and fly it to mars, dude.

  • @joshlawton94 border collies are the most intelligent dog breed eva.

  • @joshlawton94 lack of training not stupid :D

  • My first dog was a Border Collie. She is bonkers, but in the best way... She's so funny and smart. :)

  • i used to have a border collie but died when i was 7-8 he used to sleep in my room every night bottom of my bed if it was the summer n right next to me in the winter i used to think that he was my brother i still get upset thinking of him know n its been 7 years since he died :'( when i move out of my parents house i'm getting a border collie

  • @chillinghere8112 aww im so sorry :C and thats sweet that your getting a border collie when you move out :)

  • @ladystroodle55 thank you :)

  • I have a 15 year old border collie who is so cute

  • thumbs up if you have a border collie :D

  • Ah the border collie eye. Mine likes to get in staring contests with me and then I will usually jump or bark at him and he will run around trying to herd me. Then he will stop and we will stare again. He loves this game. :)

  • thumbs up if you love your Border Collie(:

  • Zak George!!!!! :):)(L)(L)(L)(L):):):) Awwe Venus and Supernova and Alpha are SOO cute :):) I love Border collies :D:D

  • Im 14 and I had a collie since I was born . My family got her when my older sister was little and she's 17 now . She was the best dog ever . Other then her chasing cars and bike tires . But she would lay right beside you forever and walk with you anywhere . I miss my dog like crazy because she died in 2005 at the age of 13 . R.I.P cookie . -3

  • @ashtonshelby21 chasing bike tires... my boyfriend's parents collie is crap scared of bicycles, so when you hear her barking like mad/running up and down the driveway it's usually because someone has just ridden past on a bike.

  • @cookiejar243 This made me laugh so hard... Poor thing haha

  • they failed to mention how affectionate these dogs are my collies all jump right on my lap for a good cuddle

  • I love Border Collies! I like the one Fly from Babe.

  • borders aren't that mart :P

  • @rctriplefresh5 NEITHER are you, you misspelled "smart" xD

  • @MrJordanio0825 u got me there :p

  • @rctriplefresh5 Bite your tough, my friend.

  • My Auntie Gemma had one called Bonny she was so sweet and calm and loving.

  • they r so smart....mai besties sis trained her border collie at age 13 and the dog was like 10 months and if a teen can do it...I THINK WE CAN lol but anyway...i <3 border collies and they r awesome S

  • by buddy has a border collie that is an apartment dog, has no training, nips, herds other dogs and small children at the dog park, and barks uncontrollably. Nightmare dog if NOT TRAINED. I like to say that Buddy is to smart for Joey

  • Border Collies are extremely smart, but they are virtually tireless too...

  • there smart

    prefer GSD though

    their smart, tough, brave, loyal

border are just smart, and loyal

    gsd on top

  • Smart and beautiful - what a perfect dog.

  • This is my favourite dog breed!

  • @NiamhandAnnaseries Same here, Comrade.

  • I could write a book on my 2 dogs and my other collie who died no1 would believe me about how clever they are, the love they show and just FUN! to be around no matter how you feeling they are always happy

  • this video made me go hug my border

  • thumbs up for Venus, and her "brothers" Alpha and Supernova <3

  • I have the uncontrollable urge to watch Babe now.

I love how they give "the eye"

  • I LOVE BC's and Dobies! In fact, I trained my BC Kinookium to sweep the floors. It took me a while to teach him but it was worth it in the end. Kinookium was AMAZING with balls and frisbee's.

  • I have a border collie and although I love him to pieces some of the things he does are just odd. For example he will always back into my parents room if we are playing ball and I just don't understand why. I also have experience with the intense stare he gives and the focus. It's really hard to distract him or trick him. He also has selective hearing which I sometimes forget since he is so old now I think he has hearing problems but that all seems to go away when I mention ball.

  • i dont like it when people fight like - my dog is smarter than yours! because it makes me think that my dog is the dumbest dog ever.

  • My brother owns a border collie. It's almost 16 years old at the time. But I think it isn't pure breed because it is a bit smaller than the collies shown on the video and its tail is intensively curled on its back. Although the characteristics match exactly as it says on the video. The funny thing about this dog is that although it has a fur with large shapes of black and white, if you shave it, it's like a dalmatian.

  • They are great dogs. But too much for most people. They need a huge amount of exercise and stimulation, otherwise they drive you nuts.

  • I love my Border collie with all my heart ^^

  • my german shepherd is smarter then any border collie thats a fact

  • i want this dog soooo badly!

  • this dog is smarter than my 17 year old cousin....O_O thats just sad

  • @Alloquy, it's faster than most kids!

  • Oh my it's the Egyptian God 0:46...

  • my border collie used to open windows and jump out

  • 0:12 actually is like a mirror image of mine :O

  • Kelpie is the smartest dog on the planet

  • I swear my border collie speaks English. I was walking out in the pasture today and to follow me he had to crawl under a gate. At first he looked at the gate and then looked at me like asking me "What do I do?". From 20 feet away I said "Crawl under the gate Ruben" and he did just that. I think they must have a natural ability to understand human body language and tone of voice.

  • I want to get a border collie but im afraid from its needs like I heard it take 2 hours of playing with every day! and i can provide only 1 because of my buisy day

  • @itaiamram then sadly it's not the dog for you. It's an understatement to say 2 hours a day. Mine consumes about 4 sessions of 2 hour training or running each day.

  • weve had border collies my whole life, they are fantastic dogs. They are very demanding though, but if you like a dog that loves to play and exercise they are so fun.

  • 31 people are mad cuz there dogs are nothing like a border collie

  • best dog

  • i have a border collie :D

  • I have a border collie/ lab mix- also called a Borador- and he is the easiest dog to own. Most of the intense herding/work needs were replaced with a hilarious loving lab personality. He is stubborn sometimes, but easily trainable and loves living in a smaller single family home.

  • I love how idiots get all butt hurt because they think their particular dog is the smartest. In reality it isn't and borders just rule.

  • I wish I had one/could get one but I dont have a yard and live in a town house

  • i have a border collie she can be hyper but shes a great dog

  • I remember about my dad's friend's border collie called boniface.... he just loves me and my bro sooooooooooooooo much. my family bought him as a puppy and at first he was only sleeping and nothing else. but now... its already a year or two after we got him to where he's living now... hes so lovely!!!

  • I'm getting a border collie soon from a recuse in Wake forest NC I agree these are great family dogs and that's what I look for everytime I go "dog shopping" anyway my bordey will be named ChiChi(werid name I knowXD) anyway if anyone can give me some tips on taking care of him please tell me and does Border collies good with others pets? cause I have a dog named Kirra she loves other dogs I'm just wondering how ChiChi will handle it. well anyway wish me good luck with ChiChi!!!

  • @emilythefoxsparks12 you watch Dragonball Z?

    just wondering

  • my border collie is a house dog, my first dog. She has never ever even began to mess with something that is not hers. she does love to run and do pretty much everything described in this video

  • we had a border collie called spot when he was yuong he used ot herd me and sister and brother in the back garden without any training at all he loved to jump as well but in march we had him put down he was 14 years old and his body gave out

  • @transkaty Same with mine her hips gave out died at 13

  • best breed ever, period.

  • i dis agree there not the smartest dogs

  • @teddybear4422 Scientific fact...no arguing about that!...proven, smartest dog on the planet

  • @googleisshittoss nope the german shepherd is hands down

  • @teddybear4422 Lol. Just because you like a german shepherd doesn't change the fact that they are ranked 3rd in intelligence, under the Border Collie (1st) and Poodle (2nd).

  • @teddybear4422 No it's not...even the Poodle is above the German Shepherd!

  • @googleisshittoss not really i had all 3 breeds and german shepherds were the smartest

  • @teddybear4422 Ive had two of them..(not a poodle).... I'd say they were quite similar..though you have to drum it into a GSD constantly..... whereas a BC doesn't respond at all well to having things drummed into it

  • @teddybear4422 Well, go and make your comments known on the Dogs 101 German Shepherd video, and stop trolling?

  • @googleisshittoss gsd are the best

  • @teddybear4422 stfu seriously, we don't need ur bitchy commentary. fuck off.

  • Comment removed

  • @SamanthaVoorhees gsd better then all dogs u cunt

  • @teddybear4422 Okay, let me get this straight. You keep on shooting off your mouth, saying inaccurate things about dogs particularly the German Shepherd, keep following me and other innocent youtubers like a troll, spell things like a 4 year old, and seem to have nothing better to do than all of the above, and I'm suppose to be the cunt?

  • @SamanthaVoorhees gsf better then bordetcollie and doberman and yorkie and lab and noxer and shiity huskys

  • @teddybear4422 That's hardly the truth. Furthermore it doesn't answer my question.

  • @SamanthaVoorhees its. A fact gsd the best

  • @teddybear4422 Still not true and doesn't answer my question, but keep it up. Your immaturity makes us look better and better.

  • @SamanthaVoorhees lol She's only saying that because she has one obviously! Don't feed that bitch troll!

  • @trashdog24 Good advice.

  • @trashdog24 What Katrina said.

  • @SamanthaVoorhees its true and it make u angry knowing gsd r better ur scard of me arnt u

  • @teddybear4422 Oh yeah, I'm scared of a ten year old girl making comments as shallow as a shower.

  • @googleisshittoss nope gsd are the smartest well i know mine is anyway

  • @teddybear4422 dumbass bitch border collies ARE the smartest so quit bein a bitch!

  • @EmoStickFigureFunn nope its not

  • @teddybear4422 oh really then why is i in some obedience and agility completions the dogs are banned because they wipe out the completion and the other dogs don't stand a chance? B*tch please get your facts right!

  • @bellaxedward132 no there not they are dub

  • @teddybear4422 Really cause your definitely not the smartest person!! *They're not there.

Dumb ass. My border collie collie knew that!

  • @bellaxedward132 my german shepherd could out smart ur mut anyday

  • @teddybear4422 too bad yo can't! *your *Mutt

  • @bellaxedward132 u dumb ass my gsd is smarter then ur ugly mutt boder collie anyday

  • @bellaxedward132 ur dog is a mut and dumb

  • @teddybear4422 well he's smarter than you! *Mutt

  • @bellaxedward132 u wish ur dogs a cur

  • @lpswebkinzfan the people who own the border collies, they had cats and kittens and the dogs didnt touch them, the cat even placed her babies (which were also black and white) in with the puppies and they didnt care. so im sure collies can get along with puppies just fine lol

  • These dogs are smarter than I am! I should get a collie and train them to do my homework.

  • @HeavenlyLee haha your comment made my day dude,

  • @HeavenlyLee lol

  • i have a border collie his name is mike hes not all destructive hes afraid everything lol and i live in apartment its really big and mine aint so hairy

  • lies they CAN live in apartments as long as they are able to excercise

  • Trainer: "What is 14 x 21?" :B

Border Collie: "I see what you did der!" :p

  • check out my border collie videos

  • im getting a border collie puppy in october, only problem is that i wont always be in, does anyone know how well they behave when left alone?

i will be takin it out on 3 walks a day and i live behind a field and next to a country park so he will be fine with being excersized!

i also have cats, so i hope he doesnt try and herd them!

  • Comment removed

  • @KatyBerwick Most Bordies are pretty crazy left alone. they need something to do or they will destroy EVERYTHING!! you did say you had a field maybe if you let it out, or bring it with you might help.

  • @KatyBerwick Mine usually is ok in a crate when left alone for like 3 hours but after that i work him in 2 or 1 hour sessions ending with 4 sessions by the end of the day.
