  • answer one question give me the definition of "green" I'm green your green just like I'm rich your rich and is is is

  • Obviously not engineering students

no... he won't bring more green jobs

wise up... hope is not a strategy

  • I share the 'dream' in this video. The problem about 'green' jobs is that it has simply become rhetoric. Green jobs if they mean they eliminate 'real' pollution, are friendlier to our rivers, streams, land, and air, and make our products less hazardous and more efficient; would be a wonderful thing and we should get to work rebuilding our manufacturing base on that premise. If Green jobs means the nonsense of cap n trade based on falsified data (see climategate) then I am 100000% against them.

  • What the HELL are green jobs and who is going to decide if a job is green? DREAMS of HOPE and CHANGE is all Obama "fans" have and that ain't much. Jeez, to listen to these Obama "fans" I am saddened by the fact they all live in such a DREAM world.

  • Well the US has already outsourced 20,000 green jobs to other countries. Well, he broke all his other promises, why should it suprise anyone anymore.

Omaba supporters need to wake up and read the articles they don't want too. Get your heads out of the sand and do something before it is to late.

  • @st4ticblu3 - True. Oursourcing and the stripping of our vital industries is the real problem today. Our country was built up with High Tariffs advocated by Jefferson's party as an alternative to Hamilton's Revenue Tariffs (below 40%) coupled with subsidies to industry to help develop them (we are now at colonial levels of manufacturing again) as Washington/Madison and other Founder's knew was important for Independence and prosperity. The original GOP implemented 49% tariffs and we became #1.

  • @st4ticblu3 -- Continued: By 1900 we were the leading manufacturing nation, which coupled with being the leading agriculutural nation and commercial nation (Harmony of Interests was our philosophy - all three are vital, not just one: like the mantra 'we're a service economy' nonsense), gave us a greater standard of living than 'free trade/market' British Empire who once was a leader when Mercantilist (ie. high tariffs n subsidies combined).

  • @st4ticblu3 - Continued: Last - Free trade/market is the problem n history shows the solution protection n subsidies combined in all nations. Trade is WASTEFUL and harmful to the Environment. The world will be prosperous when all nations implement a Make it Here to Sell it here law; coupled with revenue tariffs for those imports of component parts coupled with domestic ownership (ie. Sony America owned by Americans) in franchises; coupled with a Living Wage n worker rights worldover.

  • No, he is going to make it easier for blacks to take jobs that whites so-call are too COWARDLY to give back.... that and supporting muslims in a muslim crazed world!!!

  • Where are all the wack job liberals with the Global warming talk?...Oh that's right...we're in an ice storm right now..they'll come back out when it's 104 degrees in August..lol

  • that sucked

  • Green jobs? I'm baffled by this political expression. What we need are Jobs regardless of color. What is meant is some sort of job related to enviromentalism? I just don't understand the concept too well.

Blue collar jobs, the type that pay middle class living wages, the type provided by Manufacturing companies are what is needed in America. Just the simple move of restoring our manufacturing base, by law requiring making things here to sell here, would create millions of new jobs.

  • Green jobs means designing jobs with the long term future in mind & applying what's been learned through the sciences of Geology, Biology, Environmental History... etc. This means making them highly energy & resource efficient, sustainable & adaptive to name a few traits.

Making jobs 'green' usually means making MORE jobs than if they were not green. A lot, if not most, of green jobs are still 'blue collar'. Many are still in manufacturing, as well.

  • MLK was a plaguerist. He was far from a political leader. He was a communist sympathizer. He used Church money for prostitutes! Learn the facts America. Obama Is a jerk off. And shame on Whites for destroying their future.

Obama is a globalist. Globalism kills millions, and will always kill millions until everyone is a slave.

Obama supporters are nihilists who care not for the future of man.

  • I think so. He may have to force the entire country to a completely different direction (and maybe crazy direction).

I hope he will force all new cars and airplane to run on alternative fuel even if it will cost $1 more at the pump. I hope he force all the network companies to redo the internet connection to match the speed of Korea. I hope he nationalized the banks and change the way stocks are reglated! Maybe the FBI and CIA are combined into one.

I expect drastic changes to fix the US

  • Carbon is not a pollutant, it comes out of all living creatures and is necessary for plant growth, which is why it is pumped into Greenhouses. The world may or may not be warming, considering this Winter seems to be the coldest in a long time, who knows, anyway the rest of the planets have been warming too - man did not cause that. It is one thing to control real pollution of our rivers, land, and air another make policy based on myth. The man-made myth is decimating developing countries.

  • Biological systems have a window where there can be too little AND/OR too much of a thing. For instance u can drink too much water & kill yourself. Is water bad? Yes & no. Water is necessary in the right amount just as carbon is necessary in the right amount. Too much carbon is bad just as too little carbon is bad.

BTW global climate is determined by the global average not just by a few cold weeks in your area. E.G. if 1 man wins the lottery, it doesn't mean the economy is in good shape.

  • Thanks, I appreciate your explanations and they make sense.

  • That is true, The socialist may as well tax o2, I guess that will be next.

  • Yoo , ever seen.
