  • TOMAC FOREVER

  • Sure I have!!, I like DH and have done it competitevely even, sure the bikes are super tech and everything, lateley dh riders are finally becoming athletes, usually they used to be and some still are stoned out beer drinkers with lots of balls.

I just don´t like the fact that a DH bike is dependant on petrol to do it´s thing, if ya know what i mean. Sure,Peaty, Minnar, Atherton are great, don´t get me wrong.

  • Fortunately, the essence of the sport has been kept in XC, DH has changed too much

  • @putridpanchos DH back then was utter crap. It's now the F1 of cycling.

  • @gweflj to me XC is the F1 of cycling, DH is not even cycling 2 me, if those dudes depend on trucks and lifts to take them um the mountain, the essence of cycling is gone to me. just a personal thing

  • @putridpanchos Have you ridden a World Cup DH track ? I suggest you give it a try and then watch a world class rider do the same. I think you'll find it isn't just the skill but their level of fitness that puts them in another timezone. With all due respect to the ladies, there's a reason womens WC XC fields are stacked and the DH has a fraction of the amount. The bikes are massively more advanced than anything else in the bike world. The R&D of any bike/fork manufacturer will tell you the same.
