  • I sand this for an all state choir love this and the piano player was fenominal but I want to learn how to play it on piano but I can never found a tutorial for it SOMEONE PLEASE HELP im a big fan of this song

  • I first discovered this piece by First Call back in the late 1970's or early 1980's. I have the record somewhere in the house. I so fell in love with this song, I took a 90 minute cassette tape & taped it over and over to fill the tape up. I've since lost track of that tape, but I'm very happy God sent me this u tube link. I thought I had lost it forever. Praise God!

  • We sing this in my choir. Im addicted to this song. I love it

  • please, in sapanish?

  • espetacular !! sou fã. glorias a Deus!!

  • Saudades.

First Call não conheci ainda nenhum trio tão afinado como vcs.

    Abraços dos irmãos brasileiros

  • where's the bass part?

SAT just doesn't quite sound right

  • We are singing this in choir. And so far this my favortie song that we have done :) At first my choir didnt wanna do the song cuz it looked really hard, but now we love it :)

  • nice voices god bless you so much

  • ...

  • Lol, I'm singing this in Chorus XD love it! So fun to sing!

  • @arowgoesrawr me too =D

  • I love First Call!

  • I found it amazing the amount of inside knowledge that posters on this page supposedly have. Honestly, who reads interviews with people like "Bonnie (the blonde)" in this song? I somehow or another navigated to this page so I suppose I am as guilty as any of you...

  • @rybrohio The person that wrote this was the poster of this video and I wouldn't be suprirsed if they knew that. XP

  • The blonde chick needs to keep her hands down.

  • Oh, 90's. Sometimes I find I don't miss you as much as I thought.

  • Wow I likey! Nice happy fresh singing. I'm just missing the deep bass and I'll be satisfied (can never be enough bass ;) )

  • I did this song back in 7th grade choir and I had the opening solo. On the night of the concert I was terrified of singing in front of all the people and I kept praying that I wouldn't have to do it. Just as the concert was about to start the sirens started going off. There was a tornado in the area. There was no damage or injuries. And I never got to sing that solo but 10 yrs later I still think it's funny that I knew it would take an act of god to keep me from singing and that's what happened.

  • The language is Swahili..my national language! Awesome!

  • What's up with all the racial comments here? This is a Christian song meant to praise God. There is no race, gender, creed or any other petty difference between brothers and sisters in Christ. Lets raise the bar a little and see each other through the red blood of Jesus. We all look the same that way. . .

  • I love it Guys good job!!!

  • this is like the next rickroll.

  • this video just makes me hurt inside

  • can't help but smile

  • as a native swahili speaker i find most groups that sing this just slaughter the pronunciation, but these guys are great! awesome job!

  • @jchard6 - Thanks for commenting! The man you see in the video co-wrote this song with a friend of his who spoke Swahili. I imagine that friend coached these three so that they could pronounce it all correctly! :)

  • as a native swahili speaker i find most groups that sing this just slaughter the pronunciation, but these guys are great! awesome song!

  • what are these singers?

  • Wow, can no one spell choir? :) Not that hard ppl. Btw, anyone here in CMS choir? Cuz we're singing this too. Love it, but i could do w/o the 80s/90s actions there. And the 80s feel of it. Ugggghh. Other than that, its great! =D

  • Does anyone know where to find the original version of this song?

  • @heavenlylifestyle - The original version is on a CD called "Somethin' Take Over" by the group First Call. It's available on iTunes for download!

  • @interpreter2006 Thanks for the info, I actually found it a few months ago, but the feedback is appreciated.

  • @interpreter2006 Thank you. I was actually able to find the song on a greatest hits album and download it shortly after you posted. But I appreciate your help!

  • @heavenlylifestyle HI ERin!!! I found I'll link it to you

  • @peacefulthinker14 Thanks Kendra, but I found it shortly after I commented on this months ago.

  • love da song.... diid iit iin 7th or 8th grade....kiinda 4got buh ii love iit

  • lol im singing this now its pretty catchy

  • Good job. But why do studio singers flop their Arms like the robot on 'Lost In Space'?

  • seriously...they look like they are trying to do the robot and failing miserably

  • @missourigal82 haha, because it's the nineties and they need something else to do other than adjust their headphones.

  • @missourigal82 - LOL @ your comment. In interviews the girls have said they were accused of trying to "land airplanes" in the studio! Bonnie (the blonde) commented that in the studio your entire focus is on the sound, and you will move your body and your face in ways that you wouldn't normally in concert, because in concert it's about the whole experience (sound + movement + crowd, etc.). If you watch them in concert you won't see the exaggerated movements you see here. :)

  • @interpreter2006 They could have waved in the Blue Angels with this one!:)

  • @missourigal82

LOLOL! It's true! But speaking as a person with session studio experience, I guess it just helps you concentrate while you're focusing on your pitch and your timing., LOL. I'm actually attending a recording of this song in the future and now I'm going to be thinking about your comment & trying not to laugh out loud during the session!!!

  • we our playing this song in our africa show in band.

  • that is a great video and must took alot of practice. my choir is also doing this and i cant get the song out of my head i sing it all the time

  • OMG times infinity! I have to sing this for chorus this year. It's gonna be sooo much fun....... If all the people who said that they are singing this song in chorus were in the same chorus as me... that would be awesome... and creepy at the same time!

  • my choir won all region for this song we did it in 2006 for the jazz madrigal regional festival

  • wow, give a couple of kenyans this music along with a couple sticks and rocks and it would sound 100 times better then this cheezy 90s white shit.

  • Thiisss was the best yearrr when i went to All county with my best friend we got to sing this our instructor was sooo AMAZINGGG!!!!!!!!!! <33 love it x]

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA PEOPLE THIS WHITE SHOULD NOT SING THIS SONG.

its got a cheesy 90's feel with a hint of jazz.

  • @JalousYet - Well, the guy you see in the video actually co-wrote the song! He wrote it with the help of a friend who is fluent in Swahili.

  • @interpreter2006 Fabulous song. JalousYet ...is a cheese expert CHEEZ WHIZ. LOL

    THE SONG RAWKS..

  • @interpreter2006 That actually answers a question, I was wondering what language it was... Thought it was either Swahili or Zulu.

  • @JalousYet it doesnt rly matter 2 much. many choruses sing this song. no racial stereotype intended but lots of skool choruses r caucasian-dominant

  • @JalousYet And you should stop overfeeding your kid TOO MUCH CHEESE. HAHAHAHHAHAHA.

  • @JalousYet hahaha I agree... but I LOVE IT :)...

  • Very good with the pronunciations. Great song

  • they sang this song in a concert with my school district and it caught my attention cuz it praises God, and i didnt expect that cuz its a public skool... and then they played it at our church during the slide show of a missions trip 2 africa!!! i like this song a lot!!!!!!!!

  • I love this group. I'd dearly love to hear "The Future" by them. That was one of my all time favorite christian songs.

  • i love this song my dad taught me this song wen i was little he would do the guy part i would do the girls part and my parents and i would sing it in the car but, that was wen my parents were together now theyre both married

  • I remember singing this in choir! It was one of the funnest songs I've ever done!I couldn't help but sing along and bop my head with the words, though I can't say pronunciation was as good as theirs. c:

  • ah we're singing this for choir =]

  • am Kenyan & I think you guys have done a great job with this song! great pronunciation

  • I love this song. I first heard this song when I was 15 (which was a long time ago) and the first time I heard it, I thought they were saying "I see through your mumu" lol.

  • I see thru your mumu...That is a crack up..Ha ha. I will never think of this song the same way.

  • What's even funnier is I told a friend of mine who is from Nigeria. She laughed until she cried. :)

  • They're really good singers, but their face expressions are hilarious! They're just so INTENSE! LOL.

  • LMFAO!

  • That is soooo true...My brother has a character he does called "INTENSO MAN"..EVERYTHING INTENSO MAN Does is Over the top- The exressions are right up there with something that Intenso man would do...;)

  • we did this song in the choir 3 years ago...wonderful song!!!

  • Love the song, and there voice. But there moves kinda scare me...

  • The cougar clip from 00:14-00:16 sounds like the old Washington State University Cougar snarl we've heard for so many years at games. Is that where you got it? Are you a Coug too?

Thanks so much for posting these!

  • It's good, but I like the song better when sung in a choir, because that's what the song was originally meant for, to praise God as a crowd.

  • i love the song my nephew is singing it in his highschool choir

  • This song rocks! I'm glad we didn't have to move like that when we sang it in chorus though.

  • I love the song, and I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but.. These.. three people are the most obnoxious people to WATCH sing. They sound wonderful, but... I donno.

  • On this same VHS, Bonnie (the blonde) talks about recording in the studio, and that they've often been told they look like "they're landing airplanes" when singing. She explained that in the studio the most important thing is the sound, NOT body language. However, in concert the sound and body language work together. So watch some of the vids of them in concert and see if you notice a difference!

  • "landing planes" Hee.

  • I <3 First call, well actually i just luv the song!! They ROCK!!

  • Swahili

    Asante! = Thank you

    Wimbo mzuri! = Nice song

Viumbe vyote, MSIFUNI MUNGU! = All creatures, PRAISE GOD!

    Safi sana! = Very Good!

  • That song is wonderful and it touches the lives of many people. If they can sing like that in Swahili, I better sing it in Spanish.

  • I Love First Call! He´s are 1.000.
