3. wrong hypothesis but increasing the defense budget...you betcha.
4. The alternative is still the same. Go to work and buy private insurance. Obama Care undercuts the free market along with a lot of others. Not to mention it is unconstitutional.
@hatfieldadam I love OBAMACARE! My Blue Cross premiums went down this year the first time in 12 years! It's finally kicking in!

Ok you obviously missed the last part. Obamacare is UNCONSTITUIONAL. The Constitution does not give the Washington the right to have total Control over anything. THat power belongs to the states and the people
@hatfieldadam ObamaCare IS Constitututional under the Commerce Clause and has been ruled constitutional by all major federal judges but a couple of radicals.
It will pass the Supreme Court with ease. I love Obama care and so does all my uninsured friends as well as my grandaughter who is now covered while going to college.
Private insurers are a total rip-off, ripping off the system with 30% admin fees while Medicare uses less than 2%. Any idiot can see it's WAY BETTER!!!
Its socialism man...Yes judges with a liberal agenda have said it was constitutional, but in November it will not matter. Obama...one and done. Too many people are pissed
@hatfieldadam Romney needs to resign as he is anti-american and only supports the 1%, which is him.
He might be able to run for President of the Caymen Islands as that's where he ships his cash.

it takes more than a pretty smile to turn this country around.
who has the most knowledge and experience to effect CONSERVATIVE change in the country?
YA NEWT WOULD BE A GREAT CANDIDATE AGAINST OBAMA .. EXCEPT FOR THAT DIVORCE SLIP HE HANDED TO HIS WIFE DYING IN THE HOSPITAL, OR THE FANNIE MAY FREDDIE MAC INSIDER 1.6 MIL PAYOFF, OR THE OBAMACARE ENDORSEMENT, OR HIM SITTING WITH PELOSI AND ENDORSING CARBON TAXES .. OR.. OR.. OR..
Uhhh, I don't know what the top commenters are smoking, but have you taken a look at the national debt since Obama took office? Yeah, it's over 15 trillion dollars. That's up from 10 trillion when Bush was in office. I'm not a fan of most GOP candidates, but how can you say Obama is the answer?
Obama is the most anti-business anti-free market president we've ever had, yet the masses blindly follow him. You people need to open your eyes and stop this left right feuding and do your homework, we need to come together or we're doomed. You think we can afford another war? We're bankrupt and our monetary policy is unsustainable. Please, vote in your own interest for the only geniune candidate who takes his oath to the constitution seriously, Dr. Ron Paul.
@TheEmericanDream FDR was the most anti-business and anti-free market president we ever had, and he got us through two world wars, out of a great depression, and he was the only president to be elected to three terms.
@Unhindered you realize the republican party just moves more and more left while the left moves more and more left. Society itself progresses more and more liberal everyday. The far right of 20 years down the line will the moderate of today.
@DevilBoyVex Yes, the parties move, but I'm speaking of ideologies rather than political parties.
Political parties are inclined to move to the left, because the left is about consolidating power due to the belief that knowledge on how society should work is consolidated. Over time the parties tend to buy into this thinking (We can enforce on others what's best for them) rather than pursuing freedom and getting out of people's lives.
@Unhindered Well, the far right wants less moral freedoms. They want government to control things like abortion and gay marriage. The left wants more moral freedoms but less fiscal freedom. The right wants a free market, but a controlled Christian morality. The left wants moral freedom and fiscal control. Neither ideologies are about freedom.
@DevilBoyVex It's true that conservatives want the government to do something. If you want to argue that anything other than total anarchy is not "about freedom," then the discussion is over.
Conservatism wants the fed gov to protect the rights of people as defined by the Declaration and Constitution. Conservatism wants people to be "free to..." (to fail, to succeed) whereas the Left wants to enforce government power into people's lives to keep them "free from" (failure, success)
@DevilBoyVex (success and failure, are just examples. In general, conservatism wants me to be free to do what I want with myself and the product of my labor and face the consequences. The Left wants to keep me "free from" the consequences by preventing me from doing what I want with myself and the product of my labor. This is what Lincoln defined as "tyranny."
The left is surprisingly anti-choice if I want to choose what they don't like - eating junk food, no insurance, on and on..
@Unhindered The richest and most successful people are pretty damn liberal. The product of "your labor"? It is the product of society's labor and your labor. No insurance? If you do not have insurance you infringe on the rights of other people. If I hurt you, do you not deserve to be re compensated. Insurance protects not just you, but the people you care for and lives that revolve around you. Realize that your actions and your choices affect society not just yourself.
@Unhindered You sound like your own failures only affect yourself. One person's failures affect many people who have nothing to do with that individual. One man's mistake can cost millions of people jobs, as well as his success could bring greatness for millions. Should those millions of people who can be affected by the success and failure of that one person not impose regulations or restrictions on that person's actions? Government=opinion of all affected by individual choices.
@DevilBoyVex "impose regulations or restrictions on that person's actions? "
So you're simply saying that government is just a weapon to punish some people for doing things other people don't like; to restrict the freedom of one person because I don't like the outcome of their choices.
I fundamentally disagree. I don't think government should be a weapon used against the citizenry.
In your example, people shouldn't be allowed to make "mistakes." They should be illegal.
@DevilBoyVex "Government=opinion of all affected by individual choices. "
Wrong.
You're saying that via Fast and Furious, the opinion of all Americans was to sell guns to drug cartels? That the opinion of all Americans is to raise taxes some years and the opinion of all Americans is to lower taxes the next year?
Politicians, judges, and bureaucrats are a small group determining what will happen to others. They are not the expression of the citizens' opinions. That's called...
@Unhindered You assume millions of people can even make decisions. Pretty sure there is no such thing as a fully well informed consumer. I suppose that's why it's so incredibly hard to break into the soft drink market, o yeah because your decisions are limited by the person who dominate the free market, you either buy Coke or Pepsi because that's all the supermarket will sell. So what do you do? Have government come in and force the market to let small companies make entry. Consumers can't do it
@DevilBoyVex I don't assume that millions of individuals can make decisions. I know millions of individuals can make decisions because they do every day. Every day millions of individuals make choices that they are very knowledgeable about because it's their choices about their lives. You assume that some small group of individuals filled with intellectual pride can make every decision, of which they aren't personally familiar, for millions and millions of individuals.
Really? do the consumers buy the best product on the market, or do they simply buy it because it's there? Consumers place their trust in the market, they don't actually choose the market. You choose from a limited knowledge and a limited supply. Everything I choose is from a category that the market has pre selected for me. If it's not government bombarding my choices, it's the corporations that run my selective field. It's mac or PC, not Mac or PC or thousands of other operating sytems.
@Unhindered Also I do not assume every choice. I assume a small group of people can create more choices for people to choose from. For example, if you can't afford healthcare, you have no choice to get or not get healthcare. Choice is money. The freedom to choose requires wealth. The wealthier you are, the more choices you have. Freedom is earned despite what the constitution says. Freedom can also be kept from people by denying opportunities. Freedom=money, and some people hoard it.
@Unhindered Millions of people do not have choices because there are millions in America that are poor and uneducated. Choices come with wealth. If a man lacks the ability to get wealthy, that man also lacks the ability to acquire freedom. You are so free to choice when you work a minimum wage job, you can clearly choose whether or not to get health insurance, or you can choose rent. Choices are so great, pay for health insurance or pay for rent. Hmmm that poor man is so free to choice.
@DevilBoyVex Limited decisions based on the free-market is so great. The very fact our government regulates the free-market and stop monopolies is why I even have 2-3 choices between the oligopolies. I'd rather have government regulate more and break up the oligopolies so I can have more choices. Yeah so many choices.
Obama will win in a landslide over the GOP and their obstruction, even forcing the unemployed to get a drug test and a GED to get unemployment benefits ! They have become a joke and we all see it
The GOP lost the election the minute they quit representing the middle class and decided to only represent millionaires and large corporations and oil companies.
We all see it.
The GOP CONGRESS was history the moment they voted 100% for the RYAN PLAN which eliminates Medicare into a voucher program that takes $800 a month deducted out of every seniors Social Secuirty check that only averages $1,000 a month leaving grandma with about $200 a month to live on.
@Unhindered Boy, are you STUPID! Conservatives want more personal liberty? What a crock. They are WORSE than drity commies! The GOP just voted and PASSED a bill that would REQUIRE those on unemployment to show a diploma or a GED, piss in a cup, BEFORE they would receive an unemployment check! Get a freakin clue you idiot.
Personal liberty? Give me a break. You and your employer, PAY fro unemployment insurance. What if you went to your bank and to take out $20.00, they made you piss and show?
@coltor9 "Conservatives want more personal liberty? What a crock. They are WORSE than drity commies! The GOP just voted and PASSED a bill that would REQUIRE those on unemployment to show a diploma..Personal liberty? Give me a break. You and your employer, PAY fro unemployment insurance."
You're advocating a huge government program that makes citizens dependent on big government. Yes, the conservatives are the ones pushing for more personal liberty. (Dependency on gov isn't liberty)
@Unhindered Unemployment insurance is paid for by the employee and worker. It's INSURANCE a-hole.
I guess you never have dealt with the GOP, so called personal liberties like the BUSH TSA, women's right to choose, equal pay for women, GOP profiling of Americans driving black while driving, or freedom of assembly and speech.
The GOP is finished in this country and we all see it. They have been reduced to only representing millionaires and the United Corporations of America, their new name.
It's a huge government program called "insurance" but it is neither optional nor is it paying the bills. The money you get paid on unemployment for being illogical on youtube instead of working isn't money you stashed away in a bank account. It's a tax on every employee and employer to pay to keep the unemployed dependent on government.
Dependency on government is not a CONSERVATIVE value.
I'm not defending the GOP. Much of them are a big government party.
@Unhindered Your a freakin idiot! Get a clue. Dependent on Government? Why don't you QUIT driving on the government roads or visting the Government National Forests, or stop all meat and food inspections, or water quality, EPA, or science and reasearch of weapons systems and advance technology you freakin drone!
@coltor9 And this is the contrast for 2012. A conservative argues for less government, more personal liberty, a Leftist is completely furious and lacking all argument and reason just name-calls in his/her irrational fury.
People should choose their vision for America - for logic and liberty or shouting and statism.
@Unhindered The GOP are worse than dirty COMMIES and have become DICTATORS.
They are taking away ALL personal liberties you idiot. Check out the TSA. Show a diploma or GED before you can get your unemployment check and piss in a cup and you call that not taking away your personal liberties?
@coltor9 "The GOP are worse than dirty COMMIES and have become DICTATORS."
Says a supporter of the president who is overseeing the TSA.
Yes, I think that restricting dependency on government is not taking away personal liberties. You are arguing that dependence on welfare programs is personal liberty. No wonder you think conservatives (who want less government control) are like communists (who like Obama want more government control).
@1classicliberal Everyone knows the GOP is the party that ATTRACTS all racists. They love to talk about blacks on Foodstamps, prevent african-americans from even voting.
We all see it. The GOP IS the Racist Party. Full of rich white people controlling it along with the corporations. Romney stated he likes to "fire" people.
The GOP is a total disaster. Try again in 2024 or 2028, after Hillary's 8 years.
@1classicliberal We can OVERCOME it by getting rid of the GOP obstructionist house so we can end the 12 years now of Bush Economics that have totally failed and let Obama do his thing instead of BLOCKING everything he has proposed to get us back to CLINTON Economics that works and is PROVEN. He can't even get a 3% tax increase on millionaires passed with the Obstructionists in the House! Let alone a decent jobs bill!
It's time to throw the GOP bums out of every office as we don't need them.
@coltor9 if you counted the tail of a dog a leg, how many legs would a dog have? Four, because no matter what you count the tail as, a tail is a tail and not a leg.
Abraham Lincoln said this of arguing with people who are without reason and reality
there is no sense in me wasting my time with you, as your mind is divorced of reality
ROMNEY AND GINGRICH, GET ALCOHOLIC BUSH AND BUILD TWIN TOWERS BACK ! REPUBLICANS U MADE THE WHOLE NATION SAD DUE TO 9/11 , DO U REALLY THINK AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL FORGIVE YOU?
The GOP can all get the hell out of our country since they are no longer even American or have any American values left and then we will have a smaller government
The GOP American Dream is a part-time,less than 40 hour non-union job with no health care, no pension, no benefits, for both you and your wife along with grandma, grandpa, and junior, working at the local Walmart, selling foreign produce and hawking Chinese trinkets, all living together just to survive, in a rusty old trailer, down by the river.
I'm voting for OBAMA-2012.
The GOP can move from America as far as I'm concerned as they only represent millionaires and not us.
@FrankfurtamMainxxl I understand that people believe that if Ron Paul gets into office, he will force this economy into a great depression. But honestly, the fed won't allow that. They've already stated several times that they are above the authority of the president, and can overrule his authority. The most important thing on his agenda is getting us out of this war. And NO other presidential candidate will do that. NONE. NOT FUCKING ONE.
@AbortedMeatloaf You can`t simply "get out of war" it is a process, and Obama is doing a good job at it... Ron Paul couldn`t do it much faster. And the reason for the current situation is how we all know fucking Bush. Republicans have screwed this country, their time is over. Ron Paul is my fav. of the republican candidates, but I am a democrat . just look at the GOP Videos...they are all idiots and full of shit
Mitt Romney made his money on the stock market back when the economy was stronger because fewer factories had left for foreign shores. Romney contributed to the rise of the consumption economy he claims to hate by investing in retailers. I don't believe for one second that Mitt knows how to or wants to fix the consumption economy because he has a record of investing in the consumption economy.
Mitt was stuck, Newt got him on that one. But my parents both tell me that if Newt is the front runner for the republicans, they are going to lose. They think Romney would have to be the stronger candidate if they are going to beat Obama. My dad still prefers Ron Paul though. :)
I have to give Newt props as much as i hate how fake he is, but i think Mitt just lost the vote of anybody watching this. Thats all Mitt has to run on and his go to line,"Ive been in the private sector and i know how the economy works". But then again if you were thinking about voting for Mitt in the first place your probably not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Mitt Romney: lost to Sen Kennedy in 1994, moved to Utah in 2000 knowing Gov Mike Leavitt could not run for another term in 2004, moved back to Massachusetts to run for Gov in 2002 after Gov Jane Swift decided to retire because of a scandal involving private use of state helicopters, does not run for reelection in 2006 after spending most of his last year in office travelling to Iowa, NC, NH, etc. Romney: I am just opportunistic. The world of reality: You are just an opportunist.
@Oopstoobad6275 I would've given your comment a thumbs up if you used "politician" instead of "republican" because Democrats are just as U-G-L-Y and S-T-U-P-I-D too.
@mistergarth Easy one, smart cookie, he has no media coverage, and everyone's getting the knuckclehead voters, which sadly make the majority, who are swung by nothing but media.
Not that I WANT to imagine this.....but honestly, I can't imagine Newt doing anything but the woman on top position (while he's eating a bucket of KFC and reading his bank statements). No woman would be insane enough to get UNDER Gingrich. Not without some kind of a hydraulic lift system in place.
Too bad I don't look like the Obama girl, I'd be "The Perry Girl" and I'd be make a video wearing some chaps of me lusting over Rick Perry and wanting a motorcycle ride.
I can't believe how rich The Obama girl got by making that video after she got 1 million hits as fast as she did, wish I had been a young woman during the Internet era. If I was a gorgeous young girl I'd make the video so fast, right now that Rick Perry is getting millions of Youtube hits.
Rick Perry is just one fine looking man and what woman wouln't want to take a ride with him on his motorcycle, he also has the cutest laugh. I'd love to have a few giggles with him, so, so, so, good looking and Perry's smile can melt a woman's heart. Tall, dark, and handsome, "I want a motorcycle ride!" Everyone, please Google Rick Perry motorcycle pictures. "Ooooooooooooo, I've got a crush on Rick Perry!"
A quick-on-his-feet candidate, instead of Romney, would have immediately responded
"In 1994, Newt, I had already been working 17 years in the private sector! Had I taken the path of a career politician since that time, I'd still have had put in more time in the private sector than any Republican candidate except Herman!".. But Mitt's obviously not too quick on his feet.
I am embarrassed to see these candidates act so immaturely and childish and this for the PRESIDENCY! The only man that acted like a classy president was Ron Paul. He also was the only one to follow the debate rules whereas they all acted like a horse's ass. Ron Paul's record is consistent and he is an honest man. I will vote for Ron Paul and if he is not nominated, I am voting Obama.
ever one just vote for me to be president i'll legalize weed and nuke the middle east and north Korea and stop obama care and lower captial gain for business who want to invest and bring jobs to are country then we can all just sit back and smoke some weed and watch the economy boom cause were no longer at war with the middle east and dont have business scared to invest.
newt is fast on his feet but looks like old mother hubbard and looks matter in general election, that is why mitt will be the nominee also mitt is likeable newt is not. the president is likeable hillary was not
In addition to applauding the repeal of child labor laws, audiences at the Republican debates have also cheered capital punishment, letting a man without health insurance die and booed a gay U.S. soldier.
The hell is the matter with these people? Stupid and mean is no way to go through life, patriots...
@WoodyLittle Agreed. There isn't a sense of civility or respect among the general public (or at least the public that is shown in Republican debates and other such areas). >_> I'm not saying that the Democratic party is civil -- there are people in it that are not -- but they aren't extremely uncivil like these idiots here.
Seems like a lot of Republicans operate very much with an "us vs. them" mentality based on suspicion and fear. They don't think it's possible to be happy or prosperous unless they're getting over on someone else...
It's kind of mystifying to me how they fail to understand that any society is only as strong as its weakest members. Compassionate conservatism in an oxymoron.
@WoodyLittle Calling people stupid bcus they dont agree with you.. You sound like a narrow minded liberal. BTW. My 46 yr old friend just died in a country that gives 'Free healthcare". Something shed lived w over here. Free healthcare isnt free. Some1 has to pay for it .When system is abused for years, the cutbacks turn modern medicine into 1930's medicine. Republicans R educated enough 2 know that. They impress me. I learned by suffering through national healcare .
I DO think it's stupid to applaud the denial of health care to a dying man in what's supposed to be the greatest country on Earth.
I also think it's dumb to boo a soldier who risked his life for his country just because he's gay.
And I believe it's the HEIGHT of idiocy to argue that government is too big, corrupt and incompetent AND THEN give it the right to legally murder its own citizens...
Stupid is as stupid does, painin2teeth. Just sayin'.
As a Republican I agree we should let all murderers walk. Since we can never know for certain his guilt I say, let's give him another chance to go out and kill another person.
I also support all gay battalions in the military. Let the fags prove they're better fighters than the straights. I frankly don't care if my enemy dies from a fag bullet or a straight one.
You know something, lakeeriejew? I like your style. Your post had me loling in a way that YouTube comments rarely do.
You have that ineffable combination of arrogance, ignorance and hostility so common to Republicans...but you express it in a singularly obnoxious fashion! Well done!
Tell me, is it liberating to tow the party line and abandon critical thinking?
In a way, I envy you. I really do. It's so easy to know what to say when rigid dogma is your guide.
@WoodyLittle I don't know about the gay soldier or capital punishment, but when Ron Paul was asked about letting a guy who gets hit by a bus die, there was like 3 people in the audience cheering, not even close to a majority of the crowd
Nice try, bmcilhone, but this is YouTube, remember?
Is this clip you're talking about?
watch?v=PepQF7G-It0
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I hear WAY more than "3 people" cheering and applauding Ron Paul's statement that a dying man without health insurance should be denied medical attention! And nobody said anything about being "hit by a bus," LOL! Did you make that part up?
@WoodyLittle capital punishment has been going on since the beginning of mankind, whos to say the man wouldnt of died with healthcare it happens to thousands of americans, and why should we let gays into the military? they just decrease the moral of all the other men and decrease the amount of people willing to sign up for another 4 years. and what did you mean by "patriots..." is there something wrong with being a patriot?
@preving and you are part of the small amount of people that know what the hell that means...your giving the voters too much credit most of them have no idea who they are voting for or why...why do you think obamas in office?...have you ever asked someone relatively young thats just voting to vote why they like a specific candidate? it takes them a minute to answer
@RevJunior28 Your choices are clear. The GOP have given you a sexual predator, a serial adulterer, a flip-flopping man, a half term Governor named OOPS and an adulteress from America’s favorite Socialist non-state. If you think things are bad under Obama, just elect Newt or Perry. It's time for America to experience real suffering and tragedy. Maybe then you'll wake up.
@RevJunior28 My friend.....The majority of American voters want the GOP LESS than the President in November. Look at the percentages for Gingrich and Romney. A majority recognizes that the mess we are in was caused by Republican policies more than by the President's.
Captain Kangaroo has a lot of experience but he is still a party line politician his intentions cant be that good and mitt no one names their child mitt unless they know he is going to be rich
Newt's got all this newfound swagger because he's been leading the polls for a few weeks. Ask Perry, Cain, Bachmann and Romney how that went for them. Jesus, look at all those people on the stage. The only one that's not corrupted to the bone is Ron Paul, but he's a nutjob.
Moon rocks. Bain Capital. Fancy underwear. Serial adulterer. Seriously, these two buffoons should just get it over with and fuck each other.

Obama is the most anti-business anti-free market president we've ever had, yet the masses blindly follow him. You people need to open your eyes and stop this left right feuding and do your homework, we need to come together or we're doomed. You think we can afford another war? So the republican party is about to die off into the history books.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex That's what happens to parties who win huge in elections like they just did in 2010, eh?
Unhindered 2 months ago
@Unhindered you realize the republican party just moves more and more left while the left moves more and more left. Society itself progresses more and more liberal everyday. The far right of 20 years down the line will the moderate of today.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex Yes, the parties move, but I'm speaking of ideologies rather than political parties.
Political parties are inclined to move to the left, because the left is about consolidating power due to the belief that knowledge on how society should work is consolidated. Over time the parties tend to buy into this thinking (We can enforce on others what's best for them) rather than pursuing freedom and getting out of people's lives.
Unhindered 2 months ago
@Unhindered Well, the far right wants less moral freedoms. They want government to control things like abortion and gay marriage. The left wants more moral freedoms but less fiscal freedom. The right wants a free market, but a controlled Christian morality. The left wants moral freedom and fiscal control. Neither ideologies are about freedom.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex It's true that conservatives want the government to do something. If you want to argue that anything other than total anarchy is not "about freedom," then the discussion is over.
Conservatism wants the fed gov to protect the rights of people as defined by the Declaration and Constitution. Conservatism wants people to be "free to..." (to fail, to succeed) whereas the Left wants to enforce government power into people's lives to keep them "free from" (failure, success)
Unhindered 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex (success and failure, are just examples. In general, conservatism wants me to be free to do what I want with myself and the product of my labor and face the consequences. The Left wants to keep me "free from" the consequences by preventing me from doing what I want with myself and the product of my labor. This is what Lincoln defined as "tyranny."
The left is surprisingly anti-choice if I want to choose what they don't like - eating junk food, no insurance, on and on..
Unhindered 2 months ago
@Unhindered The richest and most successful people are pretty damn liberal. The product of "your labor"? It is the product of society's labor and your labor. No insurance? If you do not have insurance you infringe on the rights of other people. If I hurt you, do you not deserve to be re compensated. Insurance protects not just you, but the people you care for and lives that revolve around you. Realize that your actions and your choices affect society not just yourself.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@Unhindered You sound like your own failures only affect yourself. One person's failures affect many people who have nothing to do with that individual. One man's mistake can cost millions of people jobs, as well as his success could bring greatness for millions. Should those millions of people who can be affected by the success and failure of that one person not impose regulations or restrictions on that person's actions? Government=opinion of all affected by individual choices.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex "impose regulations or restrictions on that person's actions? "
So you're simply saying that government is just a weapon to punish some people for doing things other people don't like; to restrict the freedom of one person because I don't like the outcome of their choices.
I fundamentally disagree. I don't think government should be a weapon used against the citizenry.
In your example, people shouldn't be allowed to make "mistakes." They should be illegal.
Unhindered 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex "Government=opinion of all affected by individual choices. "
Wrong.
You're saying that via Fast and Furious, the opinion of all Americans was to sell guns to drug cartels? That the opinion of all Americans is to raise taxes some years and the opinion of all Americans is to lower taxes the next year?
Politicians, judges, and bureaucrats are a small group determining what will happen to others. They are not the expression of the citizens' opinions. That's called...
Unhindered 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex That's called "the market."
Here's the two realities:
1. A small group of politicians in one city on the east coast pass laws to put certain companies out of business.
2. Millions of people make different buying decisions which put certain companies out of business.
One of these is the opinion of all affected by individual choices. The other is central planning and the disruption of personal liberty.
Unhindered 2 months ago
@Unhindered You assume millions of people can even make decisions. Pretty sure there is no such thing as a fully well informed consumer. I suppose that's why it's so incredibly hard to break into the soft drink market, o yeah because your decisions are limited by the person who dominate the free market, you either buy Coke or Pepsi because that's all the supermarket will sell. So what do you do? Have government come in and force the market to let small companies make entry. Consumers can't do it
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex I don't assume that millions of individuals can make decisions. I know millions of individuals can make decisions because they do every day. Every day millions of individuals make choices that they are very knowledgeable about because it's their choices about their lives. You assume that some small group of individuals filled with intellectual pride can make every decision, of which they aren't personally familiar, for millions and millions of individuals.
That's obnoxious.
Unhindered 2 months ago
Really? do the consumers buy the best product on the market, or do they simply buy it because it's there? Consumers place their trust in the market, they don't actually choose the market. You choose from a limited knowledge and a limited supply. Everything I choose is from a category that the market has pre selected for me. If it's not government bombarding my choices, it's the corporations that run my selective field. It's mac or PC, not Mac or PC or thousands of other operating sytems.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@Unhindered Also I do not assume every choice. I assume a small group of people can create more choices for people to choose from. For example, if you can't afford healthcare, you have no choice to get or not get healthcare. Choice is money. The freedom to choose requires wealth. The wealthier you are, the more choices you have. Freedom is earned despite what the constitution says. Freedom can also be kept from people by denying opportunities. Freedom=money, and some people hoard it.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@Unhindered Millions of people do not have choices because there are millions in America that are poor and uneducated. Choices come with wealth. If a man lacks the ability to get wealthy, that man also lacks the ability to acquire freedom. You are so free to choice when you work a minimum wage job, you can clearly choose whether or not to get health insurance, or you can choose rent. Choices are so great, pay for health insurance or pay for rent. Hmmm that poor man is so free to choice.
DevilBoyVex 2 months ago
@DevilBoyVex Limited decisions based on the free-market is so great. The very fact our government regulates the free-market and stop monopolies is why I even have 2-3 choices between the oligopolies. I'd rather have government regulate more and break up the oligopolies so I can have more choices. Yeah so many choices.

The GOP CONGRESS was history the moment they voted 100% for the RYAN PLAN which eliminates Medicare into a voucher program that takes $800 a month deducted out of every seniors Social Secuirty check that only averages $1,000 a month leaving grandma with about $200 a month to live on.
WAIT TILL THEY SEE THE DNC ADDS!
coltor9 2 months ago
@coltor9 "the minute they quit representing the middle class and decided to only represent millionaires and large corporations and oil companies."
These groups are Obama supporters. Corporations want big government so they can use powerful legislation to get ahead.
Conservatives (some exist in the GOP, none in the DNC) want less centralized power and more personal liberty.
The Left wants more centralized power and less personal liberty.
Choose your vision and vote that way.
Unhindered 2 months ago
@Unhindered Boy, are you STUPID! Conservatives want more personal liberty? What a crock. They are WORSE than drity commies! Personal liberty? Give me a break. You and your employer, PAY fro unemployment insurance. What if you went to your bank and to take out $20.00, they made you piss and show?

You're advocating a huge government program that makes citizens dependent on big government. Yes, the conservatives are the ones pushing for more personal liberty. (Dependency on gov isn't liberty)
Unhindered 2 months ago
@Unhindered Unemployment insurance is paid for by the employee and worker. It's INSURANCE a-hole.
I guess you never have dealt with the GOP, so called personal liberties like the BUSH TSA, women's right to choose, equal pay for women, GOP profiling of Americans driving black while driving, or freedom of assembly and speech.
The GOP is finished in this country and we all see it. They have been reduced to only representing millionaires and the United Corporations of America, their new name.
coltor9 2 months ago
@coltor9 "It's INSURANCE"
Unhindered 2 months ago
@Unhindered Your a freakin idiot! Get a clue. Dependent on Government? Why don't you QUIT driving on the government roads or visting the Government National Forests, or stop all meat and food inspections, or water quality, EPA, or science and reasearch of weapons systems and advance technology you freakin drone!

In a way, I envy you. I really do. It's so easy to know what to say when rigid dogma is your guide.

@WoodyLittle Completely agree.

@WoodyLittle I don't know about the gay soldier or capital punishment, but when Ron Paul was asked about letting a guy who gets hit by a bus die, there was like 3 people in the audience cheering, not even close to a majority of the crowd

@bmcilhone
WoodyLittle 2 months ago
@WoodyLittle I agree with those applause too.

@Yeorwned
You're entitled to your opinion, Yeorwned. No matter how poorly you express it.
WoodyLittle 2 months ago
@WoodyLittle That makes absolutely no sense but imagine that I am applauding you right now.

HelloMoobz78 2 months ago
@HelloMoobz78
You object to my use of the word "patriots"? How about Real Americans™? Better?
As for your other questions?
Government shouldn't be able to tell consenting adults who they can fuck.
Health care may not be a right but decent, civilized people should consider it an obligation to help the sick.
As long as capital punishment continues, it will be unfairly applied and innocents will be murdered. Just one is too many for me...
Anything else?

@preving and you are part of the small amount of people that know what the hell that means...your giving the voters too much credit most of them have no idea who they are voting for or why...why do you think obamas in office?...have you ever asked someone relatively young thats just voting to vote why they like a specific candidate? it takes them a minute to answer
RevJunior28 2 months ago

Newt Gingrich? Mitt Romney? Rush Limbah? WHO NAMES THESE PEOPLE!?

Captain Kangaroo has a lot of experience but he is still a party line politician his intentions cant be that good and mitt no one names their child mitt unless they know he is going to be rich

Newt's got all this newfound swagger because he's been leading the polls for a few weeks. Ask Perry, Cain, Bachmann and Romney how that went for them. Jesus, look at all those people on the stage. The only one that's not corrupted to the bone is Ron Paul, but he's a nutjob.
