From where the camera was placed, it could not have recorded the sound of that car catching fire, and it most definitely did not make that stereotypical "fwoosh" sound, and there wasn't a stereotypical "gasp" noise from the audience.

In this case it looks like the car was poorly built. With modern technology there's no reason that fuel line shoud've come undone like that.
