  • This support network is grate idea. I love it. I started 5diet fasting and i love it. All tho i have PCOS i am loosing weight, slowly tho, but it is ok. At list i see results that are finally visible to others and affect my health on positive way.

  • Since I have subscribed to you, why is your videos all on your problems and strategies youve been thru in dieting??? Weight gain usually comes from emotional problems. Have you been to a dietician yet??? Wish you luck. U did well on raw foods diet, I guess u should stick to that for the rest of your life, it worked.

  • @dimencia528i What would you like my videos to be about? I am 35 years old I have been to a dietitian, in a eating disorder clinic, to OA on every diet you can imagine & like MANY Americans I am still fat. The whole reason I started this account was to find support and share my ups & downs abour weight loss & GAIN I have a whole life outside of YOUTUBE that has nothing to do with any of this. I am not looking for advice from you I am simply sharing my story.

  • Hey fastinggurl, When I do the treadmill I do 45 mins. I do 3.8 for 3 mins then I do 4.2 for 2 mins, the back and forth between that for 30 mins. Then I stop for a few mins for a break, or breather, then I go another 15 mins doin the same thing. Hope that helps.

  • Have you every tried HCG..I just finished that diet and lost 20 lbs in 40 days...no excercise.. and was able to eat meats, veggies raw or cooked..etc. NEVER ever felt hungry...the hormone takes away hunger and I also stopped smoking at the same time..so killed 2 birds w/ one stone.

  • hahaha thats funny because i realized the whole black & white thing recently too :P Its so TRUE though. PLUS i also just figured the whole keeping promises to myself thing too. I SO was not going to exercise today...but im going to right now. thank you.

  • I so agree. I hate going to the gym but I love how great I feel. Your smackdown video motivates me all the time so thank you so much for that.

  • Great job w/ setting up the site. I know support is crucial no matter what your goal is.

  • Great Video... Keeping the promises to myself is a key thing for me as well..

  • Hey lady! I usually exercise 4x per week. On the treadmill I do a warmup at 3.0 for about 5-10 mins and then 30-40 mins of interval between 3.8 and 5.0. Usually 2 mins at 3.8, then 1 minute at 5.0 and repeat. Sometimes I'll do 3.6-3.8 at an incline of between 7-9. That's just what it takes to get my heart rate into the right zone. I do this and after either upper or lower body strength training.

  • Nice I'll totally check it out

  • woo joined, i really need the support

  • Yaay! Thanks for setting up the forum. I just joined. I too will check in everyday and post regularly.

  • keeping promises to yourself its sooo hard,i know it

  • I always wonder what other people do on the treadmill. I usually warm up between 2.5 and 3.0 and then spend about an hour at 4.0 with varying inclines. I've lost about 50 lbs since last year so it seems to be working. However, I just found out I am pregnant so I've been staying at like 3.5 rather than 4.0 lately.

  • I agree with the strength training. rip those muscles up till your sore and the fat melts away. It seems to work even better than cardio...

  • running like that burns off muscle you should do some strength training that will really help you burn fat!!~erica

  • That is on the list! My plan was to start off with cardio this month add strength training in FEB then add Bikram yoga back in by March. So that by April I will be doing cardio, strength training & yoga for stress. I want to do it slowly so that I can adopt lifetime habits! Thank you for your comment much love!!

  • thats good, but i really suggest you dont do to much cardio and you interval train, only 3 times a week 20 minutes of cardio, cause that cardio can really backfire on you, good luck though! also you can do excersizes that combine cardio with strength training such as boxing sparring,. boxing is such a hard workout, you will lose fat in 5 seconds and probably get really strong!~erica

  • Why are you doing this black&white thing, sweetie?

  • B/c I just got out of the gym and felt not so attractive......I am vain what can I say I will do my hair & makeup in the next vid & be in full on color just for you promise =D

  • I hate to see you struggle.

I lost 100 pounds, got depressed and regained 12, I went on the ultra simple diet. It is a great diet plan that gets rid of food cravings and inflammation. it worked for me and I even intend to to Dr. Hyman's ultra metabolism next, it might help you.

I will check out your new network.

  • I dont really think I am struggling. Really I dont. this is the most honest Ihave ever been with myself. I know what & how to lose the weight. As long as I stay honest with you guys I will be able to move forward and do well. I will check the diet you mentioned. Never hurts to do more research everyone has a piece to the puzzle. Love ya!

  • i joined ur site check it out. my name is jonathon

  • On the tredmill I like doing interval training :) I start with stretch and then 5 minute warm up at 3.0 mph. Intense: 4.5 Rest: 3.5 Intense: 4.7 Rest: 3.5 Intense: 4.9 Intense: 4.9 Rest: 4.0 Intense: 5.0 Rest: 3.5 Cool down. I don't have specicfic times, because I follow my workout playlist which switches between upbeat songs and slower songs. Total workout: 30- 45 mins (usually), but i kiccked my arse last night and went for 2 hours... ouch! -Misty
  • For me what has worked best and has helped me have sustained weight loss is focusing on health and nutrition rather than weight loss and the number on the scale...and how I feel, physically and emotionally!! I also think it's important to set realistic goals... what's the rush? Be kind to yourself, build slowly, focus on your health and you'll lose the weight as a natural byproduct of changing your habits and food addictions.

  • @suebee411 i agree what is working for me is focusing on my goal of exercising and eating a certain way cos this is forever not just until i loose some wt. Also its not like you can program your body to be xxx lbs on xxx day so its better just to focus on the things that will take you there

  • No sweat over the weight gain. Yay for the treadmill workout!! I go 3.7 when I'm brisk walking and 4.3 when I'm jogging. Check out the Couch To 5K program because it can take you from the couch to the ability to do a 5K in 9 weeks. Wow, that's interesting about breaking promises to ourselves...so true. I'm the Queen too, but we WILL do this in 2010. ((hugs))

  • @hislivingsacrifice hey girly do you mind if I add your before & after video to the site? Let me know if that's ok =D

  • @fastinggurl31 No problem...that would be great!!

  • I love these upbeat videos. Very inspiring. Thanks for being such a pillar of strength!

  • Is it okay if I use my username instead of my full name for the site?

  • @awesomevegan any name you want!

  • this will sound funny-but if I look at the scale adn see a pound or 5 more-i go to the bathroom lol, seriously from eating and not using the bathroom your weight can show up as 5 pounds more!

  • pretty much

  • Yay first one.
