Although my home is now Ireland I was taking a trip down memory lane and it is making me really homesick for SA. Excellent music . Nothing like it worldwide . I grew up in Durban but moved to England in 2005 . I am really missing the good African beat and the boeremusiek . I have added these onto my Favourites ad I am listening to them almost daily . I want to get the CD so I can play it in my car while driving through West Yorkshire .

It seems most of us SAFFAS miss SA a lot, I think its more the good old days we miss, its not the same anymore. Take care...

Thank you a million times for posting this. I was searching for this song in vain a few months ago and couldn't find it as I was typing in Mama Thelma's getting married tonight. I first heard it years ago. Then today I started to plan my wedding to my beloved who is Mexican and found it when I typed in Mexican weddings. Strange but true. Very nice video and I love this song of Margaret Singana...we did "Ipi Tombi" in primary school...it was obvious a disaster...lol but we had lots of fun. Brings back good memories. Thanx.

I have the 1997 video. I just have to find out how the heck to upload it? Obviously not the savviest on uploading. :) When I get someone to help me, I will get it on. I also have songs as well, like Moriva, Baby Baby, Wishing and Mother Mary. Great stuff huh? I actually was the stage manager on some of the tour. Love and miss my Ipi Family. :)

I'm going to do it this weekend. I have a friend coming over to help, lol.... If we can't do it, I'll let you know and I might just make you a copy and you might be able to do it? I'm in Los Angeles. We actually did the show here, but they closed it because of picketing. We couldn't overcome it, so we went down to Houston, San Diego then off to New Zealand. I'm going to SA later on in year to see some friends. My friends Thembi & Todd have a show in Joburg called UMOJA! Very Ipi like.

Hey there =) I was wondering if you knew how I can locate the original Ipi Ntombi performed in 1977 in VHS. I already have the 1998 version with the new cast members; however, I have been unable to find the VHS for the original musical anywhere. I would really appreciate any information you can provide me with. =)

Hi, I only have some of their songs, to get the vhs performance you may have to look on ebay, may be approach the SABC etc, I am not really sure. 'rrsrichard ' just above in my comments could know more it seems he was fortunate enough to tour with them etc. Hope you find it, take care.
