@stuckingphoner NO the repeal of the hughes would not undo the present BATFE approval and fee but just allow modern produced full auto weapons to be handled the same as pre 1986 weapons. Ie dropping the cost on the old ones down from say 20k for an old HK g-3 down to like 2k. Plus of course the usual transfer fees.
I'd like to see a repeal of the Hughes Amendment to the Firearms Owners’ Protection Act of 1986. This way law abiding citizens such as myself can again legally purchase and register new automatic weapons. Anyone else feel the same way?

@aliefmarinecadet actually any speed less then the speed of sound is subsonic and since the speed of sound is 1,126 ft/s, 1125ft/s would in fact be subsonic. Thats why 45acp is a good subsonic round since I can't think of a 230 grain 45acp that travels over 900ft/s. But yes a 45acp traveling 1125ft/s would be fast for a 45, but the 185 grain Cor-Bon JHP goes 1150 ft/s (thats faster then sound)

@TheShadoman123 Suppressors on sniper grade weapons can help with accuracy, but you're looking at reducing a 0.75" group at 100 yards down to 0.5". This weapon spreads the rounds all over the damn place, so adding a can really does not change much. Gives you a further out point to hold on to and stabilize things, thats about it.
@rockpup What do you mean from 0.75" to 0.50"? Are you talking about a half-inch spread on target at 100 yards? That is not bad at all for a machine gun because mg are not about accuracy so much as about bullet volume.

@rockpup Ok so what is the average spread of the mac-10 100 yards down range then with full-auto and assuming you use the folded stock? I read that the 9mm version is more accurate than the .45acp at long ranges probably cause its a smaller round and better balanced.
@rockpup With the folded stock extended, I bet the spread should NOT exceed 2-3 feet at most; assuming the shooter is competant! Otherwise use a magnum shotgun with buckshot and you will get better results.....
@GST1974 Well, I keep better groups then friends who have tried it (seen from shooting into water 50 yards away while standing on hill), but the barrel might be worn out or so since the spread is pretty bad. I tend to keep this locked up in a big safe, and keep a 12 guage out for home protection.
@darkhalo153 The .45 ACP is originally a subsonic round (with a 230grain bullet), newer low recoil and overpressure loads generate higer speeds, but originally the .45 ACP is subsonic.
45 ACP is a easier round to supress the sound of since most 45 ACP bullets travel at a sub sonic speed < 1125 (ft/s). Which means... anyone? No crack from the bullet breaking the sound barrer so less noise.
@WokShitty you can get subsonic ammo in almost any caliber. .45 is tough to suppress due to the large bore. Smaller bores are easier to make quiet since the gas has less of a path to travel without hitting baffles.

@ksparks777 You can't reload brass from a MAC, since it fires from an open bolt the shell comes part way out of the chamber before the pressure drops, leaving a scary bulge near the base of the brass. I would not reload those for anything.
@rockpup Get a practical solutions barrel for 40 bucks..I reload my brass all the time for 9mm..it goes into the same pile that I use for my S&W M&P 9mm as well as my Sig 226 Elite..I do use a Lee full size die though (Lot of the brass I scrounge is fired in Glocks..much worse on the brass..)..Great die that resizes again when you put on the crimp..Love the tone of the Viper but I'm a nut for all cans take apart..
@M4ST3RL1NKX88 or mount the camera higher, so the rounds don't hit it. Mounting from this side, you can actually see the spent shells coming out. That and if the trolls didn't see the shell casings coming out, they would just say it's an airsoft gun.
Holy shit, that's quiet. In a lot of videos u see that involve supressor, the firearm is still loud enough that if u snuck up on someone and shot 'em u may still alert anyone nearby. They're so wonderful no one has bothered to make new modern guns to replace either of them. Other than the Para Micro-Uzi, but that doesn't count as a new gun (according to me).

The TEC-9 started production in 1985 was banned in 1994 and had totally different design elements. Stop posting ignorance.
@VitaminE6SS That looks nothing like a Tec-9. Tec-9's have a shrouded barrel, the magazine is in front of the trigger guard, and the reciever is made of polymer.
well it have been a misstake here,the topic was i think,,just about autofire, not if mac 10 have it or not. what i mean was that the full auto is no longer on the M16, its got burst coz autofire is pretty useless in combat. as far as i know about mac 10 that gun have always have auto.maybe not the civilian model, that i dont know anything about.
@lazer70 Naa, any of the MAC-10 or MAC-11's that were registered prior to 1986 are slam fire. Pulling the trigger just lets the bolt bang forward, the empty shell pushes it back, if you didnt let go of the trigger it will keep doing this untill you run out of rounds in the clip.
@victor58461 You can't, there are no legal machine guns registered after 1986. Legal mac's are around $3-4k. The semi auto one's fire from a different principal anyways. There is no firing pin on mine, it's just a nub on the bolt. The trigger just lets the bolt spring forward to fire the shot.

@ksparks777 You can't reload brass from a MAC, since it fires from an open bolt the shell comes part way out of the chamber before the pressure drops, leaving a scary bulge near the base of the brass. I would not reload those for anything.

@rockpup Get a practical solutions barrel for 40 bucks..I reload my brass all the time for 9mm..it goes into the same pile that I use for my S&W M&P 9mm as well as my Sig 226 Elite..I do use a Lee full size die though (Lot of the brass I scrounge is fired in Glocks..much worse on the brass..)..Great die that resizes again when you put on the crimp..Love the tone of the Viper but I'm a nut for all cans take apart..

@M4ST3RL1NKX88 or mount the camera higher, so the rounds don't hit it. Mounting from this side, you can actually see the spent shells coming out. That and if the trolls didn't see the shell casings coming out, they would just say it's an airsoft gun.

Holy shit, that's quiet. In a lot of videos u see that involve supressor, the firearm is still loud enough that if u snuck up on someone and shot 'em u may still alert anyone nearby. With this u could go into a house with people asleep, go room to room, and use that thing on full-auto without waking anyone up. Hypethetically speaking of course. I'm just Using that as an example

They're so wonderful no one has bothered to make new modern guns to replace either of them. Other than the Para Micro-Uzi, but that doesn't count as a new gun (according to me).

Never knew an open bolt could be so quiet... but then again, the mac-10's suppressor (or at least the likes of this one) has a rep almost as legendary as the mp5sd. Yeah, that just totally destroyed the argument that open bolts will always be noisy.

@thegermanPFAU The M10 was originally chambered in 45 acp. The 9mm model came after and then the M11 in 380 acp.

@VitaminE6SS Are you serious? This looks nothing like a tec-9 The Mac-10, Mac-11 Ingram style firearms have been around since 1964 and are produced today by Master Piece Arms (semi auto only). The TEC-9 started production in 1985 was banned in 1994 and had totally different design elements. Stop posting ignorance.

@VitaminE6SS That looks nothing like a Tec-9. Tec-9's have a shrouded barrel, the magazine is in front of the trigger guard, and the reciever is made of polymer.

well it have been a misstake here,the topic was i think,,just about autofire, not if mac 10 have it or not. what i mean was that the full auto is no longer on the M16, its got burst coz autofire is pretty useless in combat. as far as i know about mac 10 that gun have always have auto.maybe not the civilian model, that i dont know anything about.

@lazer70 Naa, any of the MAC-10 or MAC-11's that were registered prior to 1986 are slam fire. Pulling the trigger just lets the bolt bang forward, the empty shell pushes it back, if you didnt let go of the trigger it will keep doing this untill you run out of rounds in the clip.

@victor58461 You can't, there are no legal machine guns registered after 1986. Legal mac's are around $3-4k. The semi auto one's fire from a different principal anyways. There is no firing pin on mine, it's just a nub on the bolt. The trigger just lets the bolt spring forward to fire the shot.
