  • ΥΠΕΡΟΧΟ!!!

  • Beautiful, tragic, melodic, thought-provoking, heart-warming, heart-wrenching, and deeply personal. This rendition by Ishtar probably does the song more justice than any other I have heard, even Jacques Goldman’s original.

“Mais elle n’est pas née comme toi ici, et maintenant!”

    Triste!

    Comment horriblement tragique!

    Grenouille Verte.

  • @greenfrogct

the important word there is "thought-provoking"

people need more thought provoking songs because it seems people are ceasing to have true individual thought most thoughts are tainted with the bullshit fed to us throught the media.

    I <3 THiS SONG!

    BEAUTiFULL!

    BELLiSSiMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • tres belle cette chanson...

  • great song, had any singer sang this song in english yet?????? and who's Ruth, Anna, and Jeremiah and even the place Warsaw that mentioned in the lyrics?

  • No, I really haven't heard about the English version of this song.

I suppose, from what I've read, that Ruth, Anna, and Jeremiah are Sarah's friends.

Warsaw is the capital of Poland.

The most notorious concentration camp was located in Warsaw.

    It's called ''Auschwitz''.

About 11 million people was killed in there.

  • oh, ok thx for all the infos

  • Really? It is interesting how some people have no shame at all.

My grandfather, both of my grandfathers actually, fought in WWI and WWII, and yes, Auschwitz existed. It is not a myth.

Maybe we don't know the accurate number of people who were killed in there, but many people died in Poland during WWII, millions of people.

And that is a historical fact.

  • Well, I am not a fan of Israel and it's policy.

    My father is Palestinian.

But a lot of Jews were brutally murdered in WWII and I feel sorry for those people. No one deserves that.

We should definitely not forget WWII and it's horrors because apparently we like to repeat history.

  • I'm Arab too =) and I agree with you. Learning about the Holocaust in school was about the most difficult thing to which I've ever been exposed...

  • Well said

  • @mjlodina u feel sorry for those people in WWII? check the news and see whats happening in Gaza and tell me if u feel sorry too. When the criminal becomes a victim is like when a prostitute talks about dignity....

  • @deboukf

Don't talk nonsense. I know very well what Israel is doing and I do not support it at all. As far as I am concerned, Israel might disappear tomorrow. I could care less.

But, think in this way, without the Holocaust and all those genocides, Israel would probably not exist today.

Btw, Muslims are not innocent either. They are not naive at all. I am saying this as a half-Arab.

  • @mjlodina Muslims are not innocent either? how can u generalise a whole religion? Not all the muslims are the same and not all the jews are the same...

Check what Dr. Norman Finkelstein said about the holocaust and israel (Norman Finkelstein is an american jew).. How old r u btw?

  • If after everything I wrote you only got the ''Muslims are not innocent either'' part, then you need help, my friend. You are the one who started generalizing the entire Jewish population by asking me how can I feel sorry for the victims of the Holocaust and by comparing them to Gazans. For your information, majority of the Holocaust survivors support Gaza and are against Israel, and so am I. But that doesn't mean I will support the ''other'' side and their form of extremism and terrorism.

  • @mjlodina what does WWII have anything to do with israels policy.

  • @IronGuitarist

First of all, this song talks about WWII and the Jews.

Second of all, I have the right to express my opinion.

Third of all, Israel has been playing on the Holocaust sympathy card for too long. It is an embarrassment to the victims of the Holocaust. If those people only knew what their descendants are doing in their name...

  • @mjlodina First of all, cool, I didn't read the description because I was listening to the music. Second of all, I don't care! I wasn't telling you to shut up or anything! Third, I know. For me whenever someone mentions WWII I actually think of the Russians as well as the Jews because 20 million Russians died as well. Brutal and terrible terrible war.

  • @IronGuitarist

Alright, I apologize. I guess we both misunderstood eachother.

Yes, it also makes me mad when people only talk about Jews and the Holocaust while Russians (Slavs in general) and many other nations lost ten times as much.

It was definitely the most brutal war in human history.

  • @mjlodina Thank you. Yes indeed, most Slavs suffered harshly. The only country in Eastern Europe (as far as I know) that suffered no Jewish loss was Bulgaria by the way.. I don't think many Bulgarians died in the first place, otherwise I wouldn't have been born. My grandfather was border patrol, he'd have been the first to die.

An awful war. Which requires to be a part of memory as bloody sigil to never repeat it again.

  • @IronGuitarist

Yes, I think you are right about Bulgaria. But, as far as I know, Bulgaria cooperated with the Nazis during WWII. Maybe that is why many Bulgarian Jews were spared. Well, I truly hope WWII will never repeat again, but, unfortunately, people are unpredictable.

So, you are related to Bulgaria? Do you speak Bulgarian? It is very similar to my native language, Serbian. By the way, I have visited Bulgaria many times and I had a wonderful time. It is a gorgeous country.

  • @IronGuitarist The only country in the world where jews were protected by natives during ww2 was Albania.

  • @ImperatoreAlbanicas very wrong... :)

  • @Craving8805

Craving8805, they were haunted down like dogs whole over Europe, in Albania they found refuge because of our BESA. Read some history dude.

  • @mjlodina No one deserves that, u're right. But the jewish people noawadays...they so try to cheat everybody...

  • @mjlodina

think what you will, but reality looks differently.

  • @mjlodina may the peace be with you my brother (or sister :)! regards from a christian

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG!!!

  • @mjlodina

  • @mjlodina BEAUTIFUL SONG!

  • @mjlodina when black people commit crimes, the police does not take into consideration their 200 years of slavery, Having been a victim of WW2 should an additional reason to treat Palestinians with respect and stop building residences in what is recognized by the UN as Palestinian land.

  • @omarLeMerveilleux

And when did I say that? My father's family is from Palestine and they had to flee to Jordan in 1948 in order to save their lives. We still have a land there which is now occupied by the Israelis. So, my friend, what makes you think I support Israel? But, like I said, that doesn't mean I will deny the Holocaust or support any form of terrorism and aggression.

  • @mjlodina Hello from Serbia for all Palestinian and Israeli people! Serbian people realy know what is war mean. Fuck the war...we are all tired of that...ok we will still fight for our thing...for our borders...for christianity...but fuck the war... In first world war Serbia lost 2/3 man population...in secound world war afther Jewish and Russian,Serbian people percentualy had bigest losts...in Croatia was a holocaust for Serbian people...and now in recent history we had totaly haos...

  • @vladimirmilic1

I know. I am from Serbia, too. I am half-Serbian.

Nazalost, vecina Srba nema pojma sta se desava na Bliskom istoku. Svi podrzavaju Izrael samo zbog religije. Muka mi je kad to vidim...

  • The original singer to this song is Lebanese..not ishtar..

  • So?

  • Nothing..just sayin'..

  • Ok, sorry.

  • The original singer (and the guy who wrote it) is Jean-Jacques Goldman

  • heard the song in a fashion my parents were watching on tv and i immediately did a google search found this. a beautiful song.

  • una melodia che evoca emozioni intense... che fa riscoprire la voglia di vivere per qualcuno... con qualcuno... che ti fa sentire innamorato.... Bellissima
