  • Look up CCTV in Europe, THAT is what you're looking at in the future. This is only the beginning.

  • fuck tha police

  • cant watch everything box this dicc bitch

we still get it in FTP(fuckthapolice)!!!!!

  • big brother is watching you.....it's like we are living in an orwellian novel

  • mpls and stp are the same, same crime rate and shit, but will never measure up to detroit and chicago

  • shit they should have had that when my boi Melvin Paul from N.O got shot on Broadway by McDonalds fuccaz

  • E*M*B SCANLESS MOB

  • Naw North Minneapolise is real ghetto, shit the crack of dawn in january when its like 50 degrees niqqaz out there bbq'n and shit and that place is hard to find white people lol!

  • @Leecb5 I lived in on the north side of minneapp my whole life 19y and i seen shit happen that never makes it on the news, paper, or internet.

Minnesota has the lowest taxes of all 50 states if people knew the real crime rate taxes would go up and I dont think they want that to happen.

  • Crime rates have fallen most dramatically in the 4th Precinct of north Minneapolis, where violent crime is down nearly 42 percent in 2009 compared to this point just three years ago.

  • Other types of violent crime—robbery and aggravated assaults—have seen double-digit percentage reductions every year for five straight years in a row.

Along with violent crimes, Part 2 livability crimes have consistently fallen over the past decade. Part 2 crimes last year were 22 percent lower than in 2001 and 13 percent lower than in 2006.

  • For the first time since 2001, none of the homicides in Minneapolis were of a juvenile. The number of juveniles arrested for violent crime is 15 percent lower than it was five years ago and nearly 44 percent lower than 10 years ago.

  • Crime in Minneapolis continues to drop for the third straight year and the citys homicide rate is the lowest in 25 years. City leaders announced the statistics at press conference on Thursday, July 23, and praised several initiatives that included proactive policing, targeting the most violent criminals and reducing youth violence with the decline in crime.

  • Minneapolis did not even have 100 murders in 1995. It has never had 100 murders.. If it had 100 murders in 1995, its murder rate per capita would have been around 25 per 100,000. That would have been less than half of Detroits murder rate. Therefore, Minneapolis was not the murder capital, never has even been close, never has even had a third the rate of the leading city.

  • chances are they are not from around here, ie.. Chicago, Gary, Milwaukee. Minneapolis' problems are from out of towners moving here.. So no you shut the fuck up. Like I said go to the 313 and you will see what a real city, with real problems look like.

  • Minneapolis, in 1991 I believe had the highest murder rate per capita. Mpls has never had over 100 Homicides in 1 year, its a fact.

And That was 18 yrs ago... its 2009.

Dude go to Detroit man, then you'll see slums, ghetto's and hardship. Minneapolis is a nice city, with actual things to do. May not have as much to offer like Chicago, but even there go to Chicago and you will find a true Ghetto.

All north mpls is is, is a bunch of wanna be thugs and wiggers. and if you run into a thug.

  • agree minneapolis is not to dangerous. seriously new york 100000000000 times worse

  • in 1995 minneapolis had the highest murder rate in the country so shut the fuck up mother fuckers 200

  • North Minneapolis is NOT ghetto. Get it right.

According to June Reports the City of Minneapolis ALONE had 6 homicides. 6 Homicides in 6 months. Not bad...

Minneapolis is one of the few nice cities in N.America...

  • That place really needs the cameras

most of the crime is committed

    by trash from Chicago.

  • its getting harder and harder to score dope over there. bummer. oh well there is always south minni.

  • This is a good thing! Ive captured footage downtown that has been used to prosecute what otherwise would have had little chance in trial. And perps who say "It wasn't me", change their toon quick when they see their face on video. They plead guilty and save the PUBLIC the time and money of a trial. Its a win- win situation. If your doing nothing wrong what do you have to worry about. This would also capture police brutality car accidents etc...To bad the crime just moves to new areas though.

  • Its sad that african americans are living in a cage. They need to address gang and drug issues.

  • Yes, it's big brother, but you have to think, if the 4th precinct wasn't such a crime ridden area, there would be no need for cameras.

  • big brother

  • This shit is truely disgusting and downright outrageous!! They try and make the North Side out to be so bad compared to the rest of the city only because its the biggest enclave of black residents. They could have took that million dollars it took to build that orweilian crap and put back into the neighborhood a much more productive way. People are still getting away with murder and those sensors and cameras don't help shit!

  • the north side is really bad. ive lived here my entire life, its just always been a fact. you cant tell me another part of the entire twin cities that is worse than north mpls.

  • @drinkingpoolwater The Eastside of St. Paul can give the Northside a run for its money.... just as bad, alot of Northsiders actually hideout, serve, or "get down" on the Eastside of Saint Paul.....

  • @1kee1kae - yea, ESTP is pretty rough too

  • @1kee1kae ive spent years on the eastside and i gotta say i agree, rice st, white bear, maryland what up

  • Minneapolis is a fucking sweet city

  • 1984 indeed.

  • lobster68w You mean North Minneapolis has a lot of crime. I don't think North Minneapolis is in Poland.

  • North Minneapolis is referred to as a ghetto. It used to be a Jewish area, and then the Jewish people moved to St. Louis Park and elsewhere. But a lot of people in North Minneapolis call it the ghetto.

  • wtf

  • Can it catch the people who leave food from a cooler then put in down on a shelve in the dry food area. Nothing like fiding sour cream in the canned food area.

Put the stuff back if you change your mind !

  • Big Brother at its best...I am from the North Side, this is not cool...I'm still proud of my City!

  • they can hear us to. Shot spotter.. then again I've always known cell phone mics could be remote accessed... Big eyes, big ears, makes ya wonder how anyone gets away with anything. Must be political. They wanted to run Northside into the ground so investors could buy it up cheap and do like they did with "the projects".

  • Your city council approved video surveillance cameras? So, Minneapolis, what do you know about your city council?

Nothing wrong with CCTV cameras provided there's accountability and a legitimate public complaints/OVERSIGHT system in place.

QUIS CUSTODIET IPSOS CUSTODES? For my city, (as confirmed through FOI) is no one. Also, there's no one checking whether city governments in Ontario have the necessary ethical infrastructure in place.

    QUIS CUSTODIET IPSOS CUSTODES, MINNEAPOLIS?
