Funny thing is, :) we had a cox in our club who coxed for four years, then he tried for the crew, and in his last year, he was one of the best in the club, and got to the final of the irish champs, beating many who only knew him as a cox, So just goes to show, coxes arent weak ;)

I don't get how coxes can't row. Fair enough if their splits are crap, but why is their technique crap? It really baffles me! At our club, rowers will cox and they're always giving technical tips and telling the rowers how to improve. Do these coxes JUST steer and not give ANY technical advice?!!

I was JUST made cox tonight at my team meet, like, earlier today I was erging, from now on, I'm yelling... and last weekend I competed in a provincial ergatta, placing 3rd. I'm sooo happy this door of opportunity has opened for me!

I'm a cox and this is ridiculous, they must be terrible coxes as well. Their technique is awful, looks like they've never rowed before, and yes I can row and scull. Although to be fair my 2k's only 7:55 at 55kg.

im a cox but i first learned how to row and was sort of sad when i was told i was going to be a coxswain but now i learned that i like to row just for fun and i now love to cox and just raced last weekend at states(NY) m yboat took forth just out of qualifying
