How long do the MX-5's last on a full tank of fuel? Because, If this glitch happens (I've heard) the car will run out of fuel and get stuck at 50 MPH max. My idea is that you can race until there's a few minutes (15?) plus the time until the car runs out of fuel, and when it does, there will be around 15 mins for the AI to catch up from being lapped. You could probably do this with the X1 on the 9hrs, only waiting until approx. 3-4 hours are left to allow the glitch to happen with a FULL tank.
@Zoopersable The out of fuel speed is low for a short time, then the car actually does stop. It doesn't go 50 mph forever, but rather long enough to get to the pits.
@rplfreak End the race whithout saving, and restart the same session again. Try to steer to the right just before you see your car drive. It seems like you can control your car for just a second.
This video is not fake. I did this glitch earlier today in my X1. I would not recommend doing this glitch though because when your car needs fuel or tires it will not pit when under autopilot. Instead it will just keep going at 50 MPH when it runs out of fuel. You can do this if you are far enough ahead, but it will not win you the race. This is a genuine glitch. I actually do this a lot on Daytona You have to just barely nose your car into the pits and then select fuel refill when your car isn't in the pits.

The very same thing has happened to me on the last hour of the 9hr endurance where it took control of my car and started banging into wall repeatedly to enter the pit lane - fortunately I had opened up enough of a gap using the red bull x2010 - so the fuel gauge near empty (49mph) did not ruin my race. The Tsukuba circuit pit lane is very easy to overshoot as it's at the end of a long straight, so I drive through the cones after the final turn.
Maybe it works. However, does your car enter the PIT automatically when you don't have enough fuel or your tyres are broken? If not, it might not be the the best idea. If it does, it's not a good idea either since it will enter the pit, do whatever it must, and then leave the controls to an unexistant player, making the car stop in the middle of the race.
I over shot the pit and it kept banging in the wall, but i got control of it again. Didnt realise it done this. Ended up just getting 25 laps ahead and making some food and watching king of th ehill while the time ran down.
If you think this is fake then keep your eyes looking on the Trottle and Brake Graphics. In B-Spec, the Brakes Graphics comes drastically full powered, but if you brake with the controller or pedals, it first needs an amount of time to brake full powered! Its not fake!
This is true i had the same problem auto pilot mode but what i was doing i was basically pushing another car into the pit but then my car hit the wall and the other car went in then the same thing happen like ur saying, I bet your car got slow when the fuel run out.

Have you ever thought that it might genuinely be a glitch in the game? It's a pretty shit game and there are a huge amount of faults with it. This is definitely one of them. It's happened to me before. But not for as long.
This auto pilot probably ended when the car needed fuel and re entered the pits.

@MrJoeyMonster Thanks man, although I have to disagree with you saying the game is shit. Its actually pretty great. Yes it has some major faults, but the driving is flawless. Its definitely not for everyone, but if you've ever been to a track day/drift day/autocross, and are the type of person who just loves taking a car through corners, its amazing.

A similar thing happened to me but I was playing online. I started going into the pit when someone hit me from behind and pushed me out of the pit lane right before the barrier and for a while the car kept trying to get into the bit by running into the wall. Eventually enough people hit me to make the car go around the course but it pited the next chance it got. Oh and it was the same track as this video.

@RunningTheRiot Watch when I hit the select button to change views. It cycles through all the views, but never goes into the any of the replay views (i.e. cinematic camera/extra interior views showing the driver). Thats how you know its not a replay. You have to drive into the pit from the side kinda to do this i have done it several times in A-Spec and online mode on accident by going into the pit too fast, your driver is actually amazing when this happens too but it only works until the next time you go to the pit.

I believe that this glitch has been fixed with the latest update. It seems that now when you come into the pit sliding or at a weird angle or too fast, you are simply teleported to the proper spot facing the right direction. I can't think of any other reason why that would happen other than that they were correcting this glitch.
@afufa2 Cool. I just noticed since the latest patch that when I would spin out in the pits, instead of the driver correcting the car, I would just teleport to the right spot, so I thought maybe that was fixing the glitch. Its nice to know it still exists, even if its quite difficult to do on purpose.
@DutchBoyFTW1996 Well, regardless of what you think, I find the comment humorous, as you can clearly see the red indicator light on the top of the controller showing that it is on. Just look at 2:25 - 2:35. Again, I don't really car if you believe me or not, I just thought this was a silly comment to make.

i am using the formula gt which has lapped the other cars 101 times,
tyres completely shot so my car is spinning out on every corner,
fuel almost gone...WAHHHH!!!,

Hahaha. Some of the comments on here are fucking hilarious. Why would he fake this video? What has he got to gain from faking it? Have you ever thought that it might genuinely be a glitch in the game? It's a pretty shit game and there are a huge amount of faults with it. This is definitely one of them. It's happened to me before. But not for as long.
This auto pilot probably ended when the car needed fuel and re entered the pits.
And too the guy that said 'you have a shit car' it's the Mazda

@MrJoeyMonster Thanks man, although I have to disagree with you saying the game is shit. Its actually pretty great. Yes it has some major faults, but the driving is flawless. Its definitely not for everyone, but if you've ever been to a track day/drift day/autocross, and are the type of person who just loves taking a car through corners, its amazing.

@liquidus4 The game is ok. But for 6 years work. Its terrible. The amount of glitches iv found is stupid. The main shit thing about the game. Only so many cars are premium? WTF! We are in 2011 (2010 when game was released) Come on. Some cars have been taken straight from GT3. The car graphic when in smoke is appalling. The damage is....well there is none. The cars flipping over are just hilarious. The only good thing is as you say, the handeling of the cars.

The line is a little too smooth to really believe someone else is trying to look around him video taping this and driving. He also changes views with the controller. Honestly, if this is fake, someone driving the car, they've got some fantastic talent.

A similar thing happened to me but I was playing online. I started going into the pit when someone hit me from behind and pushed me out of the pit lane right before the barrier and for a while the car kept trying to get into the bit by running into the wall. Eventually enough people hit me to make the car go around the course but it pited the next chance it got. Oh and it was the same track as this video.

This is real, happened to my too!
In my video you can see what he is talking about, when he say that it keep hitting the pit wall, you can see it in my video and you can't win the race with that glitch, at last you will ran out of fuel, and your tires will be wasted at last.

@RunningTheRiot Unfortunately the car doesn't go into the pit again. So if you get the glitch too early and run out of gas your out of luck.

@RunningTheRiot Watch when I hit the select button to change views. It cycles through all the views, but never goes into the any of the replay views (i.e. cinematic camera/extra interior views showing the driver). Thats how you know its not a replay. You can also check this link (remove spaces) you tube . com/ watch ?v=en0 Q1R IaEe8 and you will see another example of this happening.

You have to drive into the pit from the side kinda to do this i have done it several times in A-Spec and online mode on accident by going into the pit too fast, your driver is actually amazing when this happens too but it only works until the next time you go to the pit.

I believe that this glitch has been fixed with the latest update. It seems that now when you come into the pit sliding or at a weird angle or too fast, you are simply teleported to the proper spot facing the right direction. I can't think of any other reason why that would happen other than that they were correcting this glitch.

I just noticed since the latest patch that when I would spin out in the pits, instead of the driver correcting the car, I would just teleport to the right spot, so I thought maybe that was fixing the glitch. Its nice to know it still exists, even if its quite difficult to do on purpose.

@DutchBoyFTW1996 Well, regardless of what you think, I find the comment humorous, as you can clearly see the red indicator light on the top of the controller showing that it is on. Just look at 2:25 - 2:35. Again, I don't really car if you believe me or not, I just thought this was a silly comment to make.

@Neptunz05 you used to be able to switch to autopilot..for lemans 24 hour you and your b spec drivers should be able to swap.......i guess they not as smart as they think..............think about it B spec drivers maybe 3 rotate with you just like the real Le Mans races...

i think you wont finish, because as i see you are at lap 27, this is a 4 hour race, u will probably do around 230 laps, well thats what i drove, your car eventually will run out of fuel, and what then...?? if it goes to pit then there will be no problem, but if it wont pit, i gues you are screwed then...
