I am also releasing a couple for OFP also, I have been helping out with Project Reality also with their sound, which in turn helped complete all that I needed for CSM

Thanks all for the support, just an update, I have just moved house this past 2 weeks and I'm cleaning up and arranging , throwing stuff away and etc. I've been busy as hell, only one phone jack works in this house and the phone line is crap and and I'm on a laptop sponging off someone elses wireless connection someplace posting in forums so I had to be brief :S.
I have to say good job and good work Chammy on convincing ArmA's community. My sound mods are more focused in Call of Duty's community, which is full of a majority of stubborn, ignorant, arrogant, and thick-headed people; who have no idea what real guns sound like, and think that because a sound sounds good to them, than its the real thing(I.E. BoB or SPR). Which we both know that's completely absurd. So its harder for me with my realism mods, but hey, as long as some people know the real thing.
It all won't be an extravogant feat, as a total improvement to ArmA's sound engine or performance but will be a big step improvement to the sound effects as they are mostly custom and from scratch as you have seen here. Thanks for the kudos all.

Although, for the time this has taken, i hope that the 3 to 4 different versions of CSM Beta V2 will make up for the delay.
i wish they improve the sound engine in ArmA 2 two....when its far its like a crack sound, they like create a radius when the sound changes and also they would ahve put a delay on the sound of the firearms when its far....but this is the best sound mod ever!!!!!
There is sound delay on weapons and distance. At least when i play. Sniper shoot 50cal 800 meters away: I see the muzzle smoke..........bang comes later.
They sound too weak and sound too much like distant gunshots.
You gotta find a way to balance it. Guns sound different from viewpoints and distances. You gotta kinda mix it all in. Have the screaming bang, but still have it where it will sound decent from a distance.
I understand perfectly, but in this game, the dynamic range is a bit different than BF2 or GRAW, they have the sounds for each of the distances. But in ArmA the sound enigne only dulls or turns the treble down when either behind an object or far away.

Is it something you worked on to get different distances/ different cracks, or is it plainly some cracks here and there? All is fine with me and the reason i ask is because i dont hear them in the vid. Think i hear some but seems to be part of some weapon echos recordings. Negative, you hear the ringing from 2 sources then, the ringing in your ears (even with ear protection) or the sound you hear cause your head is on the butt stock of a weapon when you fire it, you hear either the barrel or the top cover of the rifle depending on which rifle you fire, although in some machine guns there will be slight ringing but seldom heard if you are using hearing protection. You will not hear it from far away hence why I don't stick that in.

Yes it is, I figured I throw some of the screams from OFP in to keep the spirit of OFP alive, the screams in OFP (and are used alot in movies if you havent noticed heh).
i didnt hear any poping sonic cracks in the fire fights tho...you still working on those??. anyways the mod sounds awsome! cant wait till you release it.
Well I do have a couple mods I think that have effected it, I noticed on the M4 with the scope , when zoomed in I am looking over the top of the scope or sights also on the M16.

it doesn't need to be perfect. and if you change something just release a sub version like 2.3 or something...

Is it something you worked on to get different distances/ different cracks, or is it plainly some cracks here and there? All is fine with me and the reason i ask is because i dont hear them in the vid. Think i hear some but seems to be part of some weapon echos recordings.
