  • try to delete autosave its helped me alot

  • @Lonelnuyasha is it still messed up for ps3 or have they patched it?

  • i like 1st person more than 3rd person

  • Two below i got a ps3 and i agree such a shame its ruined its crashed on me numerious times

  • @ultimatebuzz1 lol unlucky :p so far on ps3 im 50+ hours in done main quest and lots of sht and have never crashed once.

  • @roborocks93 it's working better now mate i had to disable saves on travel and auto saves but running ok. your'e one of the lucky ones then mate its caused a few people major problems still a great game tho

  • Thumbs up if the opening sound track reminded you of buzz lightyear from toy story :D

  • Do...not....get...Skyrim for PS3. The game is not adapted well for this system. It freezes, it lags, it randomly reboots the console. Do yourself a favor and get the Xbox version (which suffers from a few freezing bugs but not as bad) or the PC version.

  • Haha the intro is genius.

  • DRAGON AGE IS MUCH BETTER

  • @ASAFYY the fuck it is, you don't get this kind of free roam or freedom in dragon age, dragon age doesn't have this kind of re play value, you can make 10 different characters and each one can be different to the other, i'm not hating on dragon age its a good game.

  • i like that the actual box got damaged during the opening frenzy

  • woooooooooo

  • Hmm

  • @littleather Sounds great, but alrdy got a dog last week :/

  • @littleather Your right the only thing i am jelous about PC users who have Skyrim is MODS

I mean why cant ps3 have some? you think new patches will make new things? or maby dlcs

  • @PePsiilingo Well originally Bethesda had some talk about using mods for the PS3 when the game was in pre-development a year ago. However, they probably still figuring a way to cash in on that themselves(Maybe like an Itunes store??). So not so sure if we'll hear about that in on the future. Its just easier to do on a PC since everything is a open network and you can potentially modify anything.

  • @littleather A fat ps3 cost about 150bucks, wich even gives nice graphihs and great gameplay

A PC that handles Skyrim in great graphis cost about 800-950bucks not rly worth

  • @PePsiilingo Actually 800-950 would be cheap :) I bought mine for a couple grand. Agreed if money is an issue, PS3 gives the best bang for your buck. However, on many games PC can offer the best gameplay experience. As in Skyrim, there are many new mods and new levels being created by the user community as we speak. Which greatly extend the lifespan of the game. Ie. original Oblivion didnt have dragons. But with Mods , this was available long before Skyrim came about :)

  • @BoyyDrummer Actully i bought Skyrim yesterday, About 5hours in so far runing around in Whiterun not a single DROP or lag its perfect.

I adivice all stupid PS3 owners, to delete some old games that takes alot of MB, thats the main reasom skyrim need much space.

  • @PePsiilingo Apparently the Lag happens when you get further into the game and the save game size gets to a certain size. Plus not everyone experiences it. Haven't experienced it myself since i switched to the PC version of playing the game. But hopefully when you get to that point in the game the next patch will be out :)

  • Yess x)

  • @littleather Doesnt PS3 also get patched sometimes, with new ingame stuff or something?

Like 1.2 made the game less lag and framrate droping wich was a big problem

1.3 did do something to the story?

1.4 for ps3 is going to fix lag agin

  • @PePsiilingo 1.2 tried to help lag, worked for some people but most not. it also made the dragons FLY BACKWORDS. LOL.

1.3 fixed minor details, like the dragons.

1.4 HOPEFULLY COMING SOON hopefully going to fix lag

  • lol, nice intro to Skyrim Littleather

  • well besides the fov problem, this game is pretty much unplayable with ps3 now since the force update to xmb 4.0. now it constantly freezes during loading and gameplay. i pretty much a pc gamer and besides skyrim, i only played gta 4 on it. i probably put in no longer than 300 hours into the console and many others claims likewise so my console shouldnt be at fault. i swear... does sony really want to lose customer? why undo great year for ps3 with couple of minor hiccups on a major title...

  • @learninglessons1 I have PC and PS3 version. PS3 version is great, but I definetely like the PC version better for the higher resolution graphics and MODs. However, when I did this review I only had the PS3 version as that was my first hands on experience with Skyrim :)

  • Hey fella It looks like you've got the brightness set so high its washing out the colours and textures.

  • @wecontinue True. I actually always brighten up my screen because I like it lighter and brighter...Not the best for filming I suppose as you mentioned :)

  • 13:03 The roads are slippy this time of year, bitch.

  • Damn! Jumped by all those wolves at level 1, theres like 3 families there! Didn't realise drug dealers in Skyrim were so touchy aswel haha. Sick game though, only had it for about 2 weeks and already got so many classic memories!

  • hahahaha epic intro

  • now i have THE WORST headache... do something about those lines dude

  • Hey there, I haven't played any of the "The elder Scrolls" games, is there any chronology between them?? because I would really like to play this one.....and btw awesome intro =3

  • @DarkAngel0805 ,yes. Play it ! :D

  • @DarkAngel0805

I think Skyrim is set a couple hundred years after Oblivion, or just way further down the timeline anyway. Dont know where Morrowind fits in, cos theres a LOT of similarities beyond just style between Morrowind and Skyrim.

  • I sound like a fanboy (and I'm not, it's just true) but the Xbox version is the better out of the two. it has a higher framerate and the same graphics (not a result of console hardware, just poor coding from Bethesda). I have played the Xbox and the PS3 versions and the higher framerate means more fluid gameplay, mechanics, ect.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

    OH MY DEAR GOD! :D I laughed soooooo much at the intro! :D ta-daaaam! :D :D :D

    PRICELESS PRICELESSS!!! instantly favorited! :D

  • me too... i play on 3rd person view on console on every action game. if i cant, i buy the pc version. what most dont know is that console version stick with the 65 degree as the default fov compared to 90-100 degree for for the pc. this means that you get to see more in pc version. i believe that is what you are expiercing and its been an on going issue with lazy console port to pc.

  • @tkoizumi

Fuck sake lol, even the FOV in PC version is too restricting IMO, so to have an even more confined view in the console version must be pretty bad lol.

  • dam you fucked up the cover!!!!!!

  • 1:05

    :3

  • Great review keep em coming man!

  • Hey dude ur psn??? :D

  • @1tyhmalapsi My PSN is ninjakingoriginal - although as is I'm not on PSN much - since getting a copy of the game on PC for Skyrim - seems like I am playing that more for its higher resolution textures.

  • I have skyrim on PS3 and, yes, it's brilliant... but i'm having severe texture issues particularly in the item menu :(

  • Nice review/1st look !

  • NOVEMBER 15TH UPDATE - I have now obtained a PC copy of Skyrim. Also looks amazing, very similar to the PC and higher textures in some areas (Depending on your PC). Everything is Plug and Play, works with Xbox / PC Controller and is an awesome gaming experience.

  • fuck apple

  • Can some1 plz tell me.... Lydia....nord Huscarl...companion wont change her equipment...just weapon...why? i give her better armor etc... Stupid bitch. And i cant take off her steel armor either.... =/ how?

  • Totally agree about the score. I'm about 15 hours in and I can say that Oblivion is now my second favourite game (that won't be getting played any time soon). I've noticed that the developers have incorporated quite a few of the major things that modders fixed for Oblivion.. eg. horses no longer wander off, a lot more combat moves, alchemy labs, etc. Looking forward to see what mods get made for this.

  • Love the intro lol. Can't wait to buy this game.

  • @rivergoddess100 Its worth EVERY penny.

  • @littleather Hey, can you tell us if you're starting to get severe frame rate issues after about having a 6mb + save file size? It's a bug on the PS3.

  • @ImSorryLMAO Nope...can't say I've seen any frame rate issues worth noting personally.

  • @littleather How many hours have you put in for the PS3? And what is the size of your save file?

  • im cranky cus i preordered mine and it is gona be here ether monday or tuesday....D=<

  • @Shadow9331 That would make me extremely cranky too :(

  • Y DID U WAIT TO SHOW IT TO US?!?!... if i were u id justravage that cerain wrap and start hard core playing lol

  • @Shadow9331 LOL - believe me - it was hard not too... Too allot of discipline to fire up my video camera first.

  • @littleather did you rip the part holding the cover of the game?

  • @elvensbane No :) Its all for theatrical value that it looks that way.

  • @littleather You like it on the ps3? Its laggy on my comp, but i need mods.

  • @elvensbane Funny some people have complained about texture problems on the PS3 - can't say I've seen that...both on my PC and PS3 it runs pretty smoothly - no major issues worth noting.

  • LOL he's floating above the ground

  • This game is nothing short of amazing everthing about is epic this game has my attention for goty

  • Like the third person view, looks a lot better than the first person.think i'm going to sell modern warfare 3 and buy this.

  • I wanted to buy this for my PS3 because I plan on playing it for awhile and I don't trust my 360(#4) to not overheat and die again. I heard some people are having serious problems with frame rates on the PS3 version. Have you seen any frame rate problems yet? and if you have how bad is it??

  • @newf360 Have not seen anything major really in terms of Frame rates on the PS3 that's unbearable or majorly noticable as of yet. However, I forget to note in my review this game loads allot smoother than Oblivion. Ie. In Oblivion when running through a forest you'd always see a "LOADING..." caption at the bottom as things chop along...don't really see that in Skyrim, much smoother experience.

  • Lol the intro is so funny

  • @TheGreatAton LOL - Glad someone appreciates it :)

  • I play it on PC, but I appreciate this is one of the few "proper" first impressions! So many impressions/reviews just describe what you can do, rather than what it's like!

  • @HardWarUK Yup...I'm planning on getting it on PC as well...However, wanted to play it on PS3 since games tend to be more "plug / play" on the PS3 with no configuration...But PC is where the ultimate gaming experience will be at.

  • This game is amazing more than I thought it would be and I had high expectations for it! I just love the dungions and the hard work I went through today to scrounge up 5000 gold for a house this game is eating my life away lol!

  • The amount of detail in the game is amazing.

I even found a book some hours ago whit the title of: "Biography of Uriel Septim"!

Yup, the emperor who dies at the beginning of TESIV.

The reactions of the people is interesting too: When you get the dragon power, and use the shout in front of the people, they will usually say something like: The dragon born! And often a guard actually comes to you and asks you to stop shouting, because people gets too excited or something like that...

  • I like it!! Specially the fact that you can combine all kinds of weapons with magic or shields... You can make a lot of combinations with that. Tha "class" I'm playing right now something similar to a spellsword, and I really enjoy using different types of magic depending on the situation or the scenario: For example, I usa a shield spell to protect me from the dragon breath, while other times I use fire spells against undead, and shoot into a pool of oil, and it actually sets it on fire!! :O

  • just the intro alone won my like

  • @chi94 Hehe - glad you liked it :)

  • :)

  • I've been playing Skyrim for about 16 hours now (not all at once lol) and I'm freaking in love with it. I love it so much! Best game I ever played!

  • @capperz412 by far
