Very well said! Modesty is something girls don't hear enough about. I think we have a picture in our head that it's something horrible, when in fact it is something beautiful. I think Beth captures that in this clip.

i have to say that there are "mean girls" every where and they dont neccesarily have to be trying to seduce any man. many women have become so mean to other women because they assume that these women are the bane of their existence because of the way they dress. women should cover up first and foremost because our body is a temple that should glorify God not neccesarily so some women can feel more secure, even though as christians we are called to be considerate of others...
I also have to add I love Beth Moore overall she totally rocks. I just took offense at this one thing mostly because a million years ago I heard someone else say this same thing directly to me and it really hurt me. They had no idea what was going on in my head or heart. I would hate for some else to feel the same pain. We need to mentor not judge.

Many Bible scholars believe Paul was dealing with a serious heresy problem in the church at Ephesus when he wrote 1 Timothy 2:12. Certain female teachers were spreading dangerous gnostic fables, and in some cases they were suggesting that women are superior to men or that Eve was created before Adam. Paul commanded Timothy not to let these women spread their doctrines.

@Learningmoretoday If you take this into context, 22 and 23 are about "speaking in tongues" during an assembly of believers. 34 is addressing the fact that women (who would sit on one side of the church) would try to speak to their husbands (on the other side of the church, because they didn't publicly sit next to each other or touch back then) needed to wait until after the service was over & not DISTRACT others. About women in the Bible that were ministers: you need to do a word study.
