If you ask me, the best 2 player game on amiga and c64, besides bubble bobble! I got myself an A500 for christmas this year :) It's nice playing this game again.. 10 years ago with my best friend, now with my girlfriend :D

This was probably the best Amiga shoot 'em up of its type ever, and still is enjoyable. I remember this used some radical disk loading (for its time) that loaded the game and levels inbetween almost instantaneous.

Haha, I remember this game. Me and my sister used to tear shit up in this game. Most of the times we just took turns as the helicopter, but I believe we played simultanteously too sometimes. It's easier if you're two players (helicopter and jeep at the same time.)

IIRC if you shoot the upgrade chopper (the bird-like thing) before it's assembled you get double powerups. Also, after the jeep has the twin cannon, it's pointless to keep the gun leveled because the other shot will just hit the ground harmleslly.

Just saying! Used to play this to death, always on the jeep. Comes down to rote memory in the end, of course.

This game doesn't really push the Amiga very hard graphics wise.

Master System could never handle this game, because it has no hardware for multiple layers, can't show more than 8 sprites per scanline,has only 8 pixel wide sprites, has inferior audio and it's too slow. This game uses BOBS instead of sprites, and therefore has no limitation in the amount of object on screen or the size of the objects.

A SNES port could have been better looking/sounding. Amiga remake could have been better also.

there's a cheat activated right? they shoot faster than they would normally. you can only shoot as fast as they do when you have beaten up 2 of the big helicopters who build themselves during the fight. but they could shoot fast even before killling the first bigger helicopter.. !!!???

I also recall that the C64 version allowed you only 3 lives, and no continues, so it was really hard... although the last boss and lack of an end sequence was disappointing; otherwise it was just as good as the Amiga version.

we played the C64 version for months with my sister's boyfriend back then. I remember though that my role usually was to cover the back with the jeep (constantly firing upwards at the back), and it pissed me off :)
