Ah yes a vizio one of my favs. Those ones are tricky because there is a delay before the tv actually turns on. you have to go very slow when putting in the code and then what i would do is push up and down on the channel button until i knew for sure I landed on the right one. You know what ? Your video did NOTHING to restore my remote. The volume and off/on switch did not function properly and after viewing your video I am no closer to alleviating my problem. heh yea I know because of the delay it is tricky, what i suggest is when you see the light come on, click down a few morw notches and just coast between up and down so that you dont lose the programming mode because if you wait to long before you push a button you'll have to go to square one. after the picture comes up, slowly push up and then you should see it turn off and be ok

heh, I mentioned emersons specifically in the video. I had a hard time finding the code for emersons when I wa a tech. What you need to do is just keep pushing down, eventually it will turn on or off. Sometimes it takes a good while before it turns on but dont give up : )

Newer tv's have a delay when they turn on un-like old tvs that click on as soon as you hit the button. they are a little trickier to get locked in. I was actually impressed by the guy below who got his vizio to work. you can keep pressing the channel buttons up and down until you know for sure you land on the right one that locks it in.
