La Roux - the name is a mixing of male/female and I think this is the image the band/singer is going for. Gender roles etc have become incresingly blurred as society has developed and this image the singer is going for is a reflection of that.
This music is fresh (although has leanings to the 80s synth pop) and is a welcome delight to so much other bubble gum pop that is forced down our throats by the record labels.

i totally agree, the song is ammzin, the lyrics and the melody/production, but the singing is just erughh, but i dont think la roux would write and then give the song to some1 else theyd rather do it themselves...
