yes they can grow pretty big. Those in tanks cant grow that big due to space constraints. Those in the wild wide open deep seas....u can imagine how damn big these buggers can be. Scary thought.

@ah9 Space constraints do nothing in terms of eventual size.Only genetics effects this.

I do not mean stunting due to poor diet/water quality...I mean full size when healthy.

You could grow one in a tank just bigger than itself, s long as you flowed in fresh-water nonstop.

oh wait! i went to a mueseum ( i got there to late so it was shut) and i looked threw the glass and i saw the fucking HUGE crab thing its legs were like 2 to 3 ft long it was massive! do you think that might have been it ( it was dead tho it had its like boney shell thing not the flesh)
