Mine prefer the "walk up and down the human" and "stick butt in face" methods. I had one cat that just shortly before he died (no connection) he learned to wake me up by pushing my bedding off me. He'd put his front paws on my bedding, and use my body for traction to propel the front paws forward. RIP Louie. You were a great cat!
People, people, it's not a bad dog. My cat was sadly enough killed by a dog also. It's the dog's owners who have to assure he can't do nothing wrong... I am very sorry for your lost. I know what it feels like...

A couple of days ago, my cat woke me up by laying on the snooze button of my alarm clock. I turned it off and went back to sleep. The next day, I was up and she was still in bed, when I heard the alarm going off at noon. I wake up at 8. Never have I set an alarm for noon. I went in there to turn it off, finding that "alarm # 2" had been set by my cat in the night. She crawled out from under the blanket, stretched, and went into the kitchen as if she had gotten all the beauty sleep she required.
It's funny how cats are creatures of ritual. Mine helps me wake up in the morning and gives me a pep talk all the way down the hall into the kitchen, even coming in to scratch the cat food bag if I stand in front of it for too long, over to the food dish...and then picking up his cut of the goodies as I fix breakfast.
Why do our fur babies have to leave us to go to kitty cat heaven? It just tears a part of our hearts out. This is a sweet video and I am so sorry that Abban is not in this world any longer!
I remember a cat I had a few years ago. He was hilarious! He would run into the living room and jump from the couch right into my lap. I rememeber once he layed down on the shed roof and started to slide off! it was funny, but i felt bad that I didn't catch him (I didnt notice until he was halfway off the shed). And then, one morning, I found him in the bushes in the front yard and I went to pet him...and he was cold. He was poisened. His name was Sam, and he will live on in my memories forever.
My boy Ginger would wake me up by poking his paw in my ear or mouth and would pull my hair. He was put to sleep 10 days ago, we only had him four years.

@bowlchamp411 He jumped off of our second floor balcony and wandered into the neighbor's backyard. He grew up with dogs, so he wasn't afraid of them. Unfortunately these dogs weren't so friendly. It happened when we were briefly living in the Caribbean, so he is buried on the island of St. Kitts. We miss him a ton, he was an awesome cat.
