To a lot of the commenters here, it does have a certain beauty to it... the power, the way it moves. Is it destructive? To be sure... but the beauty is a respectful contemplation of the power in it's raw form. A Lionfish or a Coral Snake are beautiful creatures, yet each is deadly and commands respect. It's all in your perspective.

Having said that... if it were in a path towards me I would be petrified... true... but also in awe of it. Nature isn't always kind, but it can have a raw beauty.

The guy I chase with had his home destroyed by a tornado when he was 9...he is now one of the pre-eminient chasers in the country. Tornadoes, as powerful and destructive as they are have majestic beauty. Same with lightning. These things are not deliberately destructive, they are just forces of nature...to be respected and appreciated.
