Thats a numbnuts eatarse Sand blaster. First upsize the nozzle and hose to large. Then crank the compressor up to 130 psi make sure comp air is bled. Open the media valve and use B grade garnet. Then get a someone who can blast not some one whos blind and needs to look so close at what hes blastin dumbarse. Ohh yeah that flimsy trigger setup is no way regulation health and safety tie it down numbnuts. Ps get a real helmet

Sandblasting is not will not burn thru a steel tube......the sand dust is so fine it would take more then 30 rounds to stop anything from working.....

that is interesting that he sand blasted the cover, piston and not the bolt. if he sand last the bolt I don't think his piston would work. You can make the argument that this test was for the piston, but at the end of the day if the bolt jam fist the piston woldn't move. Im sure this product work really well, but i have been in a real sand storm in Iraq and Kuwait from my experience I can tell you that sand will go into everything not just the hand guard.

Uh...how is sandblasting the op-rod that impressive? I'm fairly sure you could sandblast a gas tube and it would hold up just as well. If the sandblaster had been aimed at the ejection port, I'd have been impressed. As it is, I'm not. This is cheesy marketing targeting people that don't know anything.

it does prove something, that the rifle can be basicly have sand forced and penetrated into almost every part of it and still function, my question is was that the same rifle? i would be super immpressed if they used the same rifle with a new hand guard haha

This really doesn't prove anything, like stated before a regular M16 system would work just as good. If they really were so confident in their "awesome" rifle they would point that sand blaster towards the ejection port into the internals of the gun, then I may be impressed.

The piston seems to function pretty well with all that crap getting in it, but I don't quite understand, there would have been no advantage over a direct impingement rifle, considering a DI gun has no moving parts in that area.

@tek2advance The follower on a Beta-C mag doesn't trip the bolt catch after the last round is fired like any 30 round mag will. Look up any video on youtube where someone is firing an AR with a Beta mag. The bolt never locks back.

I have a gas piston Bushmaster (POF design) and it runs like a tank. It's about time that the AR platform has been upgraded to it's full potential and it looks like the guys at Osprey Defense have done just that. If I didn't already have one I'd surely get one of theirs. NICELY DONE!!
