@trompeta15 i cant do it but its just using your lip really fast to skip octaves and notes with the same partials, so you pretty much have to kill your lips with pedal tones and high notes everyday. or just do middle octave lip slurs and practice getting faster....ya....
All these trumpet egos are coming out lol thanks for helping confirm it. He sounds good to me but it doesn't really matter he didn't say he was good he was just messing around.
very nice, I wish I could trill that well...and shake..and play pedals that clearly...or play that well...I should practice instead of watching these videos.
thankyou very much. i have no idea why people love knocking others down. i mean its not like i posted my videos saying that i was amazing or even good. just me doing what i enjoy :-)
Listen to Arturo's, Claude Gordon's, or anyone else that has a SOLID Pedal C. The sound is huge and very Trombone like. You're right that it's bent, but from people who have mastered it, they say they never have to think about bending it up to a C.
What are you talking about? the pedals? because they sound like poop no matter who plays them on trumpet, they are mainly for exercise. Props to you, zuzma. Nice playing.
I do give you some props on the lip trills... good job on that.... but me being a bass trombonist pedals arn't too great. Though you keep harassing me... i do give you props on your trumpet playing.
i play on a bach 3c mouthpiece. actually i think that its when pedals are easy for you high notes come more easily. i know plenty of high note guys that suck at anything below a g in the staff
possibly. i learned the articulation excercise at crown, but yes i do think cadets use that one. though i think when they do the chromatic runs they go down and instead of going down a 2nd time they go up.
i used to do those kinds of exercises when i was taking lessons from my trumpet teacher. this video brings me back. i only play trumpet for recreation now but it was fun while it lasted. keep up the good work man.
Thank you for sharing! ignore those keyboard warriors!

why are you all pissed
dinidanewmagicman 3 years ago
You obviously don't know that it's damn near impossible to play an open-valved pedal c. That's why 99.9999% of people play it 1-2-3.
Ibanez3789 4 years ago
If you learn how to play Pedals correctly, the C will come up in tune with the open fingering. The 1-2-3 BENT Pedal C is indeed incorrect.
Drworm89 4 years ago
No, the actual pitch of the "Pedal C" is a Bb. You have to bend it up a step for it to be a C. It sounds much better, and is much easier to do 123.

wow dude, those are serious. it's hard to play em fast and in time in the lower register. great job.

Work on your low notes, they aren't that good.

Can you make a vid showing how to do lip trills
Fishburn 4 years ago
Don't know about trumpets but that sound interesting.
Why not try DCI? There you can learn a lot, I think.

ha...no its not i do it every day...and the octave lower! makes it sound like farting. good stuff... helps rape with the higher octave
RadioJack 5 years ago
its pretty hard to stick that pedal c while playing open.....
JSUTrumpet 5 years ago
if high notes are easy for you then pedals shouldn't be to tricky, unless you have a shallow cup mp. I love the lip trills, very well done.

your low notes need some work, but not bad!

come on man, its an open valved pedal C with dead chops. only so much can be expected with the circumstances! lol, thanks though
zuzma 5 years ago
yeah.. nice.. i was gonna get xeno.. but
i don't like the "yamaha valves"..
i like valves that react fast
nice yo..
BuglerK 5 years ago
i stretch my valve springs out anyways. you have to be careful but it makes them react like crazy if you can get a good half inch extra length in it
zuzma 5 years ago
its my bach strad. its a model 37 with a ML bore. it plays well, but i kind of wish i had gotten a xeno
zuzma 5 years ago
hey.. nice warm up!
which trumpet is that??
