From the perspective of evolved consciousness things like "superstitions" & "prejudices" melt away of their own accord, with no need whatsoever to abolish them. On harmony between science & religion: It will arise out of the same evolution when it will be seen that one is the search for Truth from the bottom up, the other from the top down.

@earthvisitor3 ~ For me it's all about a journey of discovery and learning into the awesome mystery of Creation. Are we living in a dream? How could we measure that? I think the best yardstick for this lies in both the quantity and quality of individual consciousness. From that perspective there is a vast spectrum of possibility ranging from "fully asleep" to "fully awake (or enlightened)". How "real" your "reality" is then depends on how far we have evolved along that spectrum of consciousness.

ive been thinking about this all of my life and now approaching 70 years of age and seeing friends dying i sometimes wonder just how very small we are ...as a psychologist ive been into a lot of studies and things are not as they seem to be...weird is the answer...but thanks for your lovely comments...

@earthvisitor3 ~ Once upon a time in a land far far away, I actually read just over half of Freud's mammoth "Interpretation of Dreams" (no really, lol), & lived to tell the tale ;-) From there though, I'm happy to say, things got better all the way. Skinnerian behaviorism was great for the nuts & bolts stuff but it was the 3rd & 4th force psychologies that really turned me on. Then came 5th force Integral Psychology, transcending & including all that went before! Super holistic! You into that?
