  • haha u think ur soo smart u no it all good boy man weed could improve ur skills like me im a common genius.

  • Trenholmes, do you think animals care? If they do, then how does that make "us" human?

  • Thanks for your Vedios, they are very informing...

  • Nice response video; good example about the proving wrong of biblical nonsense through the ages, like the church's geocentric vision about the universe. It took them a long damn time to admit that the earth actually evolves around the sun instead of the other way around, and that Copernicus and Galilei were right after all. (Galilei was even prosecuted for it) This is only one example of many things that the church (and the bible) claimed to be true, that have now been refuted. Luckily.

  • One of the Bahai Faith priciples is the Harmony of science and religion. I encourage you to check out the Bahai Faith Official web site. I would like to see you make a video on what you have discovered about the Bahai Faith!

  • there are alot worse books. And my favorite scene from Aqua Teen Hunger force, here Meatwad I want you to read a book, Its the Bible (pulls out book with a face on it) oh Im sorry Meatwad that was the Necronomicon.

  • hey man people will be people, and everyone learns and interprets data in a different way. If someone can't take a hint, maybe they'll get it if they read it. it sounds like youre just trying to find another reason to condemn the bible for really no reason.

  • Condemn the bible for no reason? Are you serious? There are plenty of reasons to condemn the bible, not least of which are the catholic missionaries in africa advising men not to use condemns in an Aids replete country. Not condemn the bible...right.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I love you trenholmes.

  • like voldamort said, but similarly, for those that did not have a fully developed natural moral sense, would they not need a way to determine right and wrong apart from their damaged natural way? and how would they learn if they couldn't have the knowledge directly sent to their prefrontal cortex? The bible provides a teaching source for not only morals, but also gives examples for understanding the human condition. An excellent read, if only Oprah liked it more.

  • OptimusGonzoo, if they can't learn morality from social cues and simple conversation about ethics, then they won't be able to learn it from a book either.

  • Great video. Missed a few words, like when the thumb went full screen.

  • evolution has nothing to do with it, because according to evolution your morality does not matter as long as you survive. morality is secondary, so evolution would discard that

  • > morality does not matter as long as you survive.

Which,of course,is wrong. It is easy to see how moral behaviour improves your chances to reproduce.

  • the video would be more enjoyable and understandable without the music...

    good job though

  • having humans being "wired" with morality just means that God has "wired" us all with the conscience to tell us what is right and wrong.

  • That answer is a short cut to critical thinking.

  • A healthy human brain which is set to empathise. A logical and rational argument which is a key part of Humanist ethical philosophies. I've noticed that no matter how barbaric some religious scripts may be there seem to be a majority of "moderates" keeping check, and this is our hardwiring.

  • As always a well reasoned and rational explination. And yes the gaps are getting smaller and smaller.

  • I agree that the christians do NOT find their morality (despite their protestations that they do)in the Bible. Thats why it makes NO sense for them to give out Bibles and to prosyletize. My Opinion is that their morality comes from interacting socially within their church body. As they socially interact they build up a mental ledger of do's and don'ts and some sort of theological explanation for them. It is THIS body of morals that they adhere to and NOT the dusty dead words of an ancient book.

  • Hear, hear. Well said as usual!

  • i'm a Christian and I couldn't agree more with your social/moral assessment. It would be naive, however, to suggest that the Christian Bible has no part in the process. A book that still shapes communities is obviously not dead. Could it be that some people misappropriate said book, that is equally obvious? Regardless, the book is not dead, but it may be murdered by

  • That is great to know. More things explained by science as we advance, less atributed to god. Hurray! I think it will be their downfall, look at how many centuries it took them to admit gallileo was right. They will not be able to incorporate science fast enough to keep their religion from dying. Jesus, Jesus he's their man if he can't do it, science can!

  • I think what's particularly scary about our time is the efficiency with which religion can spread its propaganda via the medias that were created by the science it denies. I agree that religion could crumble under its own weight but...they're really good propagandists...scary notions.

  • I think we are rapidly becoming good propagandists too, which gives me some hope.

  • Agreed. Gotta keep pushin' the message.

  • Excellent. It's also reassuring to know that by default, a healthy human brain is setup to empathize. Kind of gives you hope. I guess that goes hand in hand with a good upbringing too. Born with sin? Give me a break.

  • Excellent, cogently made points. You have a new subscriber here.

  • 5/5 and faved! Excellent! Another one bites the dust!

  • You dah man...keep up the good work!

  • Good work. I really like your videos.

  • Another fab vid Roger! You know that my favourites are jam-packed with your vids ... and I can't wait for more! :o)

This tantalizing video makes me wonder about racism as well as religion. Great job!

  • I meant to mention racism! I totally forgot!

  • You are becoming one of the only athiest (besides websnarf) that is bareable to watch. This was very presentable and had my mind ticking from start to finish Great video.

  • That is a huge compliment! Thanks!

  • Very interesting, another apparent nail in the coffin of Christianity.

  • Let's hope that one day our children's children can bury it forever.

  • If you could attach this to my video "I've been on many airplanes", I'd love you forever. :)

  • Done! =)
