You know what SD, I'll leave the taking of life in the hands of the One who gives it. As for this guy, he reaps what he sows. The law of the land says he had to stand trial, he got his judgment and his punishment. What he did was wrong 100%. And to think, all of this was done because he was trying to kill his ex-wife and killed his niece instead and used this sniper thing as a cover for that initial crime. She stated this in her interview on TJMS.
I saw that interview. She's also trying to cash in on Muhammad's crimes with that new book. All of this proves that Muhammad was a very smart & calculating individual. With this execution, Muhammad is getting treated MUCH better than his victims....He's simply going to sleep with no pain at all.

The justice system is way too corrupt, inconsistent and shady for me to support capitol punishment - especially for people who look like me. Actually, according to Stanford University the more "traditionally black" you are in appearance, the more likely you are to receive the death sentence.

The system is too 'nice' to criminals, and they shoudn't have any rights once convicted. The old criminal system should be changed to send a clear message to potential offenders and I don't care what race the condemmed is. Agreed, but in cases like this one & McVeigh's 8 years ago, the condemmed need to pay the ultimate price ASAP instead of sitting on death row for years on with time to plan appeals, etc.
Perhaps they should up the ante with Capital Punishment and forget about the humane treatment of the condemmed. You're right it is complicated, and maybe the never ending situations in our urban areas should be addressed by the powers that be. Maybe making Capital Punishment more 'mainstream' would be a good 'deterrent'. Our prisons are so 'nice they come back twice', and they know about their so-called 'rights' in the system. Time to strip away many of these rights, no matter what the race.
I'm not for capital punishment cuz IMO, no one has the right to take another person's life away no matter what the situation is, BUT what he will face after his life is over will be FAAAAAAAR worse than a lethal injection IMO!!! What a waste of a life.

The law of the land says he had to stand trial, he got his judgment and his punishment. What he did was wrong 100%. And to think, all of this was done because he was trying to kill his ex-wife and killed his niece instead and used this sniper thing as a cover for that initial crime. She stated this in her interview on TJMS.

I saw that interview. She's also trying to cash in on Muhammad's crimes with that new book. All of this proves that Muhammad was a very smart & calculating individual. With this execution, Muhammad is getting treated MUCH better than his victims....He's simply going to sleep with no pain at all.

I remember those shootings they were very close to my area, just a few miles from me. He's going to sleep today and nobody will stop it. I remember missing work and keeping my daughter home, it was pretty scary knowing it could be you next. I could never do what he did and live with it.

John Allen Muhammad goes down today. Its cold that this was a brother & he did the worst! Capital punishment is OK by me, hell child murders & people like the D.C Sniper should be executed publicly if you ask me. Man fuck waiting 5 plus years to do it, i'm doing it like the Nazis used to do it tried , convicted & hanged that day....

The justice system is way too corrupt, inconsistent and shady for me to support capitol punishment - especially for people who look like me. Actually, according to Stanford University the more "traditionally black" you are in appearance, the more likely you are to receive the death sentence.
In other words, jurors react differently to a Morris Chestnut than a Bryant Gumbel.
...and then there are the innocent....

The system is too 'nice' to criminals, and they shoudn't have any rights once convicted. The old criminal system should be changed to send a clear message to potential offenders and I don't care what race the condemmed is. Cases & trials shouldn't be dragged out for almost a decade draining the pockets of tax payers. Sorry, I have no love or sympathy for those M.F.s

Sean, there are countless cases where evidence came in that showed that those who were executed were not guilty in the first place.
That's why I say that the system is too flawed and inconsistent for me to endorse capital punishment. It's the mistake that can't be corrected.

Agreed, but in cases like this one & McVeigh's 8 years ago, the condemmed need to pay the ultimate price ASAP instead of sitting on death row for years on with time to plan appeals, etc.

This is such a complicated issue. I have to wonder how much of a deterrent it is to specific demographics as in "an all black area".
I say that because you can pretty much know that you can shoot a black person and not be executed. It's mostly applied when whites are murdered.
What are your thoughts?

Perhaps they should up the ante with Capital Punishment and forget about the humane treatment of the condemmed. You're right it is complicated, and maybe the never ending situations in our urban areas should be addressed by the powers that be. Maybe making Capital Punishment more 'mainstream' would be a good 'deterrent'. Our prisons are so 'nice they come back twice', and they know about their so-called 'rights' in the system. Time to strip away many of these rights, no matter what the race.

I'm not for capital punishment cuz IMO, no one has the right to take another person's life away no matter what the situation is, BUT what he will face after his life is over will be FAAAAAAAR worse than a lethal injection IMO!!! What a waste of a life.

How do you figure that someone in prison is living better than a homeless person???? Homeless people dont have to fight for they life everyday. Homeless people have their freedom. Homeless people dont have to worry about getting gang raped every day. If I had to choose between living on the streets vs. being in prison, I'll take the streets. Prison aint the place to be.
